This hotel is one block to the Seine river and Notre Dame cathedral. There are many other attractions, shops and restaurants near the hotel. We found it to be what we wanted, a small, clean French hotel with friendly staff in a great location. The staff was very helpful in assisting us plan our day trips and tours. There are...

Room 57 on the 6th floor, double French doors (soundproof the traffic with blackout drapes) opens to a small balcony over Blvd St.Germain, across from a medieval church, making the charming smallish room more open & bright. (versus interior rooms facing dark airshaft from a small window)Housekeeping service was superb everyday. Double bed ,no nightstand, single door closet & single...

This hotel is in a good location near Notre Dame. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk associates all spoke english which was very helpful. We were in room 35 which faced St. Germain and a church. Becuase of this we heard a lot of street noise (honking, cars, people, etc). Also it's right across the street...

If you're looking for a nice hotel in a great location, this is it. We were there during the first week of March; weather was cloudy and wet for most of the week, which is what we expected. Abbitial has the smallest elevator I've ever been in; we're not big people, and we had to take separate trips with our...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel just this past February 15-18. The room was clean, reasonable size for a European hotel. The bathroom was also clean and usuable. Our room was on the 5th floor overlooking the street - the noise was not bad at all, but of course given the cool weather we slept with the windows...

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in mid February. We were delighted with this hotel. The staff was friendly and warm. It is perfectly located on Blvd St. Germain near Blvd Ste. Michele. Travel from CDG airport was easy, and the Maubert Metro stop was nearby. There are many cafes nearby and a wonderful market was...

The Abbatial Saint Germain is a good hotel and a good value, particularly if you take advantage of their promotional rates. It is rated, correctly, as a three-star hotel, but it is near the top of the class. The highlights are the location, the cleanliness, and the staff. The hotel is walking distance to many famous sites and two hundred...

My wife and I just got back from a week at the Hotel Abbatial Saint-Germain, celebrating our 25th anniversary in Paris. The location was ideal for us. We wanted to spend our days walking to museums, churches, restaurants, markets, and neighborhoods, and that we did. The hotel is located on the Left Bank just a block from the Seine and...

My bride & I found out about this hotel through TripAdvisor. The staff was always so helpful & gracious. The location is great - walking distance to Notre Dame. The room was clean. The few but minor drawbacks are: small room & close to a busy street. By American standards, the room was small but hey- get used to it,...

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
