Great location. Nice hotel. Helpful staff. The rooms are, however, small. Not that, during your stay, you have to return the key of your room to the front desk when you leave. When you return to the hotel you have to ask again for the Key of your room!

Made a mistake on the last review by only giving this charming hotel and its staff only a poor rating it should have been very good. My mistake apologies to the hotel. The hotel is very close to the bistro district with very reasonable prices and tasty food. Also easy access to all major tourist attractions and a recomendation to... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel in early May. The staff are excellent, really friendly and helpful. They make you feel at home, even if your French is not all that good. One lady at the desk speaks excellent English, the other gentlemen much less. The room we had, on the 5th floor was typically Parisian Hotel (read... More

I chose this hotel after reading really good reviews on it. Unfortunately this hotel turned out to be a nightmare and I want to warn everyone to not stay here. The rooms a dirty! We found hair everywhere on the floor, the furniture is warn out as well as the corridors of the building. We asked immediately for a different... More

We stayed in this hotel for one week with our two children. We were given 2 rooms next to each other and it worked out well. The service was friendly and efficient. The reception staff were happy to help us with directions and recommendations to local sights. The beauty of this hotel is essentially its location. Just off St Germain... More

The location is the main draw for this hotel - it's right in the midst of the Odeon/St Michel neighbourhood yet in a quiet residential street. Rooms are tiny but are quite well appointed, although if you are staying for a long duration, you will struggle for space. the front desk staff are helpful and very polite. Overall, this is... More

Nice little hotel right in the middle of a thriving area. But peaceful when you need it. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Will use this hotel again. Lots of cafes and tourist sights nearby such as Notre Dam, Louvre, Luxembourg gardens etc.

This hotel has an excellent location, at walking distance from Notre Dame, Luxemburg gardens, Louvre & Orsey museums. You can find many bistros, caffe & shops at the area. Also just 200m away there is a metro station to move around the rest of the city. Other than that its clean & the staff is very friendly but the rooms... More

Quite small and friendly hotel close to metro Odeon and RER Luxembourg (direct line to CDG). Nice and comfortable rooms, we were 3 and our room was large enough for us. And the third bed was a real one, not an extra. Breakfast is served in the cave, very small room but big enough. OK breakfast in French style.

Hotel Delavigne is a charming hotel in a great location. We got the train direct from Charles de Gaulle to Luxembourg, then it was a 5 minute walk to the hotel - definitely the least hassle I've had getting from CDG to any hotel I've stayed at in Paris. Front of house staff were all lovely. Breakfast was fairly typical... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
