Last time I stayed there was fall 2012. This hotel closed in 2015. It is now private residences. Last time I stayed there it was terrible. Filthy, lumpy dirty bed. It was cheap but for a few francs more a better hotel could have been had on the left bank..
I stayed at Hotel Henri IV on the Place Dauphine Park several times years ago and saw that the last time I was there it was closed for renovation. I am anxious to return and stay there again.... close to everything I need when I go to paris - art / history / river views
Located in the center of Paris with some distance from main attractions. The room is specious but the furniture are old (antiques). Although everyday the room is cleaned but I didn’t felt is so clean. The concierge is just doing his job nothing more.
We had a superior double room for 3 nights. The bedroom was large and very comfortable with a super king bed, with a sitting room and small kitchenette attached. We had an excellent continental breakfast in our room each morning for the reasonable price of 8 euros each. The staff were all very helpful and reception was able to provide guidance on restaurants and things to do which were great. Travelling from CdG airport via the RER train couldn't be easier - 9 stops, 40 minutes to St Michel Notre Dame, and a 15 minutes stroll and you're there. Perfect location close to a lot of attractions, Notre Dame, Pantheon, Sorbonne Uni, Luxembourg Gardens, banks of the SEine, river trips, Opera House, restaurants, cafes etc. Close to metro so moving around Paris is easy so we visited the Eiffel Tower and needed one change of line on the Metro. It's not cheap but we thought it good value for such a convenient location. We shall go back whenever we stay in Paris.…
Our room was excellent and we had a wonderful view overlooking the Seine. The restaurant and food was excellent, but the bar service was non-existent and very disappointing. We had a hail someone in the dining room to get a drink at the bar. They did not seem to care. But the hotel was nice and I recommend it if you are taking the Viking cruise the next day.
