"A former 17th century private mansion with its rich history" Ideally located on the corner of Place Vendôme and rue des Capucines, a step or two away from the arts and business district, the building in which the Hôtel Mansart was set up was built in 1720. It was designed by Jules-Hardouin Mansart, Louis XIV’s favorite architect, who also designed the Château de Versailles and the Invalides’ dome. The Crown jewelry-maker, Alexandre-Gabriel Lemonnier lived there during the Second Empire. He was involved in making Place Vendôme the jewelry district and made, among others, Empress Eugénie’s crown. The building was turned into a luxury hotel at the end of the 19th century. Even today, each room has kept the traces of past periods in its own way: the 17th century, the Second Empire, the Victorian influence at the end of the 19th century.

Really good well placed hotel. Nice spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and large. Breakfast was limited but it was after lockdown so social distancing was in place for all. Not expensive.

We booked a hotel in Paris to continue our trip to the south of France the next day. As we were driving some hours that day, we wanted to sleep in a good hotel with a nice ambience. Hotel Mansart definitely had a nice ambiance and was the perfect choice! Upon check-in, the employees were very kind and helpful. Arranging everything (parking ticket, room service) was done within minutes. The bed was formidabel, had the best night sleep. Due to Corona we decided to order room service for breakfast (which was included) and within 10 minutes our fresh breakfast arrived. We slept in the room with balcony, which was decent but don’t expect a big room. However, we all did it for the view which was amazing.

There is a reason my friends and I return to this hotel year after year. It could be the location right near Place Vendome’; it could be the proximity to many of the major sites including the Louvre, Opera, D’Orsay, and Galeries Lafayette; but it is most likely the staff which goes out of the way to guarantee your stay is memorable. Just spent my birthday in Paris with 13 friends. The hotel went out of its way to be helpful and even allowed us to use the breakfast room for our own get together before dinner and provided Hors D’oeuvres for the event. Merci beaucoup to Mr. Gamez, as well as the entire staff.

Hotel Mansart was amazing! The director Emmanuel was superb when it came to customer service. I have never been accommodated the way this hotel accommodated me and my wedding guests. They let us use their cafe every night for group meetings. They gave us a room for getting ready for my wedding for free. Emmanuel even left us a beautiful gift when we came back from our wedding. Two gorgeous mugs, a very good smelling candle and a large hardback book about Place Vendôme. If I ever come back to Paris I will exclusively stay there. We were also able to walk to a lot sites from this location. And they provided a shuttle from and to the airport for a reasonable price. Please be sure to book at this hotel if you come to Paris!
