Detailed Reviews
Myself and my partner booked 2 nights at Opera Opal for a belated birthday present. The location is great, we went in December so it was around a 15 min walk to the Christmas Markets in the Jardin Des Tuileries through some lovely streets and not much further to the Louvre. There are lots of designer shops in this area and it felt like a nice area to be in. There is a metro station and bus stops on the street of the hotel. We arrived early so were unable to check in but the hotel stored our luggage and when we came back they had already put this in our room and had upgraded us to a superior room free of charge. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We didn’t get breakfast at the hotel so I cannot comment and the breakfast room did look small, as did the lobby but we knew we would not be spending much time in the hotel so didn’t need somewhere with a bar/lobby and lots of amenities. Our room was lovely and modern, had a mini bar, safe, hairdryer, slippers and dressing gowns. We were supplied with Nuxe shower gel/shampoo which was an added luxurious touch. Our windows opened out to a Parisian style balcony (couldn’t actually step out but had the feel of a balcony). Our room was also facing the front of the hotel which was good. The shower was quite sporadic and if you wanted to keep you hair dry this was almost impossible. Our heating was also broken but we were provided with a portable heater which warmed up the room so no complaints. Overall we had a lovely stay, I really enjoyed the room and the staff are a credit to the hotel. As previously mentioned the location was good for us, we used the metro or walked to places further out such as the Eiffel Tower. I would stay here again.

I have to travel to Paris often for business trips and will always stay in Opera Opal from now on.
Starting from the location, being located in the city center within 5-10 min walk to any Paris sightseeing as well as cosy restaurants, supermarkets and shopping malls.
I arrive earlier around noon and the manager helped me to check in and access the room! Room is modern and stylish and what is rare for Paris - spacious! I would easily call this venue - boutique! I had a bottle of water, coffee, and tea as a welcome gift. I would only advice to change wifi provider as my connection wasn't so stable.
I had some minor issue with air con leaking and staff immediately upgraded me to a nicer room, which was very thoughtful of them.
Also amazing support was from Charlotte at the reception who did search and call for me the nearby PCR lab that I needed for my next travel. I don't speak French and her support was so kind!
Last but not least you will enjoy the in the hotel cosy lobby and equipped tech. But most importantly staff and service here are the top!

The hotel dealt with the corona virus in a very adequate way and we haven’t felt unsafe once. Beside that the location of the hotel is fantastic and Paris and its attractions are literally right outside your door. It’s great to see Madeleine right when you walk out of the hotel.

Our stay at Opera Opal Hotel was amazing from the start. The communication was brilliant and any requests I had were met over and above expectations. Our room was immaculate and we were treated to stunning sunrise views overlooking the Parisian rooftops. The breakfast was lovely and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Small touches like providing travel adapters and warm hot chocolate and marshmallows that were left for guests in the foyer were a lovely touch. The location is perfect close to Place de la Concorde, galleries Lafayette, the Louvre and a ten minute walk to the Seine where there are great views across to the Eiffel Tower.
Thank you to all the staff at Opera Opal Hotel for making our stay so special.

This 4-star boutique hotel is located near the main monuments and museums of Paris.
Several metro stations (Madeleine, Opéra) and RER (Auber) are accessible in less than ten minutes on foot.
The value for money seems correct for a hotel of this type in this district. We nevertheless consider it a little high.
We stayed in room 401, Deluxe Room category, overlooking Rue de Castellane. It conforms to the description of the establishment. Large enough, it has a bathtub. Nuxe care products are available.
She was perfectly clean.
Air conditioning with low speed ventilation is quiet enough to be used while sleeping.
The noise of the subway passing every 3 to 5 minutes is noticeable, but bearable. The metro sounds louder on the lower floors. The windows provide perfect sound insulation from street noise.
If you don't need the housework and bed made every day, consider hanging the corresponding sign on the door handle.
Luggage storage is available on the ground floor, as is a small lounge with self-service coffee, tea, apples and jars of sweets.
The buffet breakfast is taken in the first basement. It is sufficiently stocked. The mini muffins filled with jam are particularly tasty.
An area for improvement could be explanations of the hotel's services and schedules upon arrival.
We accidentally found all this information in the application accessible via the QR code placed in the room. It also contains the access code to the Wi-Fi network.
In this room are also available apart from the minibar, a small bottle of water, a coffee machine and some tea bags.
The service staff is courteous and helpful.

The Opera Opal Hotel provided an extremely comfortable and positive experience for my family and I. My family and I spent a week in this hotel because we were travelling throughout France. The bedrooms that we stayed in were nice and spacious and had sufficient room for me temporarily ''live'' in. The view from the window that we booked was really nice. It overlooked the streets of France and made me feel at ease at night. The beds were a bit smelly but apart from that it was a pretty good stay.
The food that was quite nice as well. They served breakfast, lunch and dinner at just the right time. These times perfectly fit in with the times that my family and I were in and out of the hotel. The food they served was nothing like the 'french cuisine' they have in Australia. It was very authentic (of course, considering we were in France). They were quick to take into consideration my brother's dietary needs which was greatly appreciated. The hotel had such a wide variety of cuisine to choose from. It was such a good experience to eat such a diverse platter of flavours.
The service was subpar compared to the other aspects of the hotel. The people at the front desk were slowed to process our reservation when we arrived at the hotel. They were also a bit rude because my family isn't very good at speaking french. Other than the interactions with the staff, the price was very suitable to my family's budget. The building was quite easy to locate and their systems were easy to adjust to.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and other travellers. I am happy that you have enjoyed your stay from our superior and deluxe rooms you have a very Parisian view on the Rue Tronchet. Our buffet breakfast is served from 7 to 10.30 am, and we are happy to take in consideration any wish from our guests when possible. The Hotel Opéra Opal is located near Printemps and Galerie Lafayette, and you have a perfect spot to visit all Paris. I am very surprised that you have had the feeling that our staff was rude, we are welcoming guests from all over the world every day, and we are used to people not speaking French, please accept our apologies and be assured that this will never happen. I hope to see you during your next trip in Europe, Best Regards, Charlotte Jensen

I have stayed here many times back from when it was a Best Western Hotel. It is a great little hotel in the heart of Paris, the people working there are really nice and make you feel at home. They have a history of upgrading guests for free and I think this is a good business practice.
The view of the street is absolutely charming, the metro stations are very close, as are restaurants, cafes, the Opera and the main luxury stores, Lafayette and Printemps. The building itself is a haussmanian building and it just feels like quintessential Paris.
Also, the city has changed a lot after the pandemic. They cleaned everything, the metro, the buses, the Rer and the streets; many buildings have been renovated or are in the process of being renovated. I was told that they are preparing for the Olympics in 2024, but the effect was that you simply felt transported in a postcard and this hotel and its staff contributed so much to this great vibe.
Thank you for a lovely stay! We will definitely come back.

We have stayed here every time we’ve been to Paris, over a period of about 15 years. The hotel is in a great location. However, in recent visits the service has declined quite dramatically. Last time, the breakfast service was terrible, a poor selection of food and completely disorganised. The bedding on our bed was inside out, and we had to ask three times before it was eventually changed. Staff are just generally not as attentive as they used to be. Most bizarrely, however, we discovered that they turn off the air conditioning during the winter months. This is just about acceptable when temperatures are cold outside, however the rooms are naturally very warm, and they keep the air con off into spring. In fact they don’t have a set time when they turn it back on, and they claim it depends on the temperatures. To be visiting in March/April and not to have the option of air conditioning in the room feels pretty unacceptable for a four star hotel in a major city. For all of these reasons, we have decided to look elsewhere in future - Paris is not short of high-quality hotels. It’s a shame though, as we had always loved our visits here until recently, and the location is perfect.

Dear Guest, We thank you for taking the time to share your Experience with us, although we would have preferred it to have been more pleasant in every way. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed our location. We have also taken note of all your comments. Please be assured that we are continuously improving our breakfast offer to better meet your needs. Concerning the radiator, it is a system that is generalized with two possibilities: either to have cold air or hot air. Unfortunately, we do not have the possibility to change the system for each room at the moment. Your feedback is very important to us, as it helps us to improve our services on a daily basis. Please be assured that your comments have been carefully passed on to my team to ensure that you receive the best possible service during your next stay. If you give us the opportunity to regain your trust, it will be a pleasure for us to welcome you again. For this, do not hesitate to contact me at the following address maria.baaklini@groupecentaurus.com so that I can personally organize your next stay. We had a very great time there, the room was big enough, the lobby is lovely, the crew was really accommodating and helpful.
Just 2 things which can be slightly improved : we got charged 4€ for a bottle of water we got from the minibar (there was only one bottle for free for 2 people for our 6 nights stay)
The room chair is not designed practicaly, legs slightly blocking the way. Mind your steps!
But most of our stay was really nice, I fully recommend!

The hotel is a pearl in the middle of Paris. Close from les Grands Magasins Le Printemps and Les Galeries Lafayettes. So much good restaurants French, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, Italian. The environment can serve a cosmopolite range of tourists.
We enjoyed to stay in Opal hotel, which has a good breakfast and great service, all people kind and having the will to help.
A small issue is the Air con was insufficient and reach a room temperature which can be not cool enough. Management of the hotel will have to fix this as soon as possible. I can give the note of 4 over 5 because of this. If not the hotel deserves the note of 5 without hesitation
