Once again, as in my stay here last year, the first room assigned to me (this time, room 45) had a horrible window that looked into an air shaft. (I later saw a layout map displayed in the hotel, where these air shaft spaces were marked puits de jours and it showed which rooms had windows to them.) I went... More

Randomly stopped in Paris and selected this hotel based on location and what looked like a reasonably attractive hotel. Location ticked all the boxes but the room was a massive let down. Small tired and some what haunted dodgy shower and rough towels. While the night staff was accommodating the manager in the morning was rude and so were the... More

In nice section of Paris (St. Germain de Pres) with lots of shopping and cafes and reasonable walking distance to major attractions (e.g., Notre Dame, Louvre). On a side street so a bit quieter. Close to metro station. Clean room, larger than the usual Paris hotel room with decent size closet and full en suite bath. They don't have the... More

This hotel fits a lot into a small space. The rooms are nice, relatively well appointed and individual. We stayed on the very top floor (le grenier) and there is a tight, circular stair-case that winds through the center of the hotel, plus a small elevator. Breakfast is provided "sous-sol". The staff was very helpful. This is perfect spot for... More

I have stayed here many times over the past 10 years, and my most recent visit was last week. I'm done with this hotel. The rooms are very tired, even the toilet flusher broke this time around. The worst part, though is the staff. One day I came down to the lobby with a post card and asked them to... More

We stayed here for 1 night for the Euro 2016. the prices during this time were expensive, but i guess all of paris si expensive during that time. Hotel was nice and clean, only issue was the small elevator that did not come as often as required.the staff was friendly and efficient.

Lovely little boutique hotel with funky little rooms in a great neighborhood. We walked everywhere! It was my parents 50th wedding anniversary and we had ordered a cake to be delivered while we where out sight seeing. Not only did they keep our surprise a secret, they provided plates and forks and a cake knife for us from their kitchen.... More

Small hotel. Tiny, clean rooms but amicable, helpful staff and the hotel is in a perfect location. There is value in the price per night especially during the cusp of the peak season. My first booking was through an on-line service. I booked my second visit directly with the hotel without any marked change in rates. I will call directly... More

We chose this hotel because we know and love the area of St. Germaine and indeed this hotel is well located just a half block off the Boulevard on a small side street. The room was quite spacious by Paris standards and the bathroom clean, and fairly recently remodeled. I appreciated the separated toilet room at this price point. The... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
