The location of this hotel is perfect, the island is easily the best part of Paris to stay in. The staff were very friendly and helpful while we were there. We managed to get a good deal booking on Expedia and thought it was good value for money. The room was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was basic but enjoyable,... More

This is a great little boutique hotel on the Ile St Louis, convenient to Notre Dame and all the major sights of Paris. The lobby offers a casual "at home" atmosphere, with a small dining area for breakfast (usually included with the room) and the rooms, although small, as is to be expected in European hotels, are quite comfortable. We... More

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. The location is wonderful. There are many great restaurants on the same street. It is also convenient to the metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We have never met a women as wonderful as Shanthy. She was always smiling and made every breakfast a very enjoyable experience. The food was very good as... More

We were three girlfriends on a Paris trip and chose this hotel because they could put all three of us in one room. We were concerned that it was going to be really cramped and we had serious concerns about the size of the bathroom. Our concerns were for nothing. The room for the three of us was perfect and... Room was small, but very efficient use of space with lots of storage space. Very clean. Beautiful little street with lots of shops and restaurants... And walk up the street, cross the bridge, and there's Norte Dame!!!! Staff was very attentive. Our fifth trip to Paris, our second time to stay at this hotel. Will stay here again. Only downside... I am about to leave Hotel de Lutece to return home tomorrow, and I have been so happy during my past 15 nights. The hotel is located on the Isle Saint Louis, which is in the 4th arrondisement. Centrally located, the hotel is a 5 minute walk to either left or right bank, but because it's on an island, it... More

This hotel is perfectly located in Paris. Our room was spacious and quiet. We love the island and the must see sights close by. The walks along the Seine were spectacular. The staff was very helpful. We first stayed here in 1975 and try to come back each time we are in Paris. We booked this 9 months in advance... More

This hotel is a gem hidden away on the Isle St.Louis. A quiet and private hotel with a warm and caring staff who seem always looking to help their guests. It is always clean and neat and calm a true haven from the sometimes madding crowds that one will encounter in Paris these days. Walking distance to Notre Dame and... More

We were in Paris for three days and this hotel suited our needs perfectly. The central location made it easy to visit places like Notre Dame, which is literally a five minute walk. But the location also made it easy to access the many modes of public transportation and navigate the city with relative ease. Staff at the hotel are... More

We were there on Valentines weekend 2015: We had a lovely but small Room with a big Bathroom. And we where nearby The Notre Dame (walking distance) and a lovely neighbourhood with restaurants and bars . (first night we ate at a very unfriendly indian restaurant where the brought the bill even thought we didn't asked for it!) The hotel... More

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighborhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
