Nestled away in a quiet and secret street in the Saint Germain area, Relais Christine will be my go-to hotel whenever I visit Paris next. The hotel is hidden away from the bustling of the city noise, providing an experience not many properties can offer in Paris. Walking through the busy streets of Paris, the route to Relais Christine leads one on a serene walk to a sanctuary where the city noise can't enter. The hotel is exceptionally well-maintained, the staff goes over and beyond to meet your needs, and the atmosphere in the hotel is something I didn't know could be found in a city as busy as Paris. The staff in particular proved to the deciding factor in making my stay at Relais Christine transcend from "Good" to "Excellent". Everyone part of the staff is accommodating, respectful, and readily available, creating a sense of familiarity with everyone I interacted on the first day itself. Due to my early flight, the check-in staff ensured I was in my room by 11:30 AM, much earlier than the standard 3:00 PM. The staff at the entrance and bar were also a delight, providing interesting conversations around shared interests. I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Jean-Luc Chomat, the General Manager of Relais Christine, who sought me out personally to ensure everything during my stay met and/or exceeded my expectations. The breakfast on offer was also excellent, providing a great variety of fruits, breads, meats, and other breakfast items that were both fresh and of the highest quality. The breakfast staff was also quite accommodating, with someone always readily available to take special requests. Lastly, the room was beautiful, full of character, and very spacious, much bigger than the standard room size in Paris. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel because of its service, staff, food, and overall comfort during the stay.

Whenever I go to Paris, the 6th is where I want to stay. So you can't beat the location of this hotel. I also like the boutique hotel experience. Honestly, for 700 euros a night, I expect perfection... and maybe I'm spoilt because I've been living in Asia for 20 years. Not acceptable to find hair on the shower math and 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner instead of 1 shampoo, 1 body wash, 1 conditioner. And when I complained to the reception they made it sound like it was normal and a soap bar was the best I could hope for. We booked an additional night because we wanted to be able to check in early morning after a long flight. The room looked like housekeeping hadn't done the final cleaning/check or maybe they let someone use the room for day use and forgot to tidy up after they left. Breakfast on our last day was a mess. Not enough tables, not enough staff. Nobody ever set the table, I had to ask for cutlery and wait forever for coffee. I think you should think of some system to regulate number of people in the breakfast room, if you can't handle all your guests having breakfast at the same time. Either that, or get more staff. Overall I would still recommend this hotel because the room is nice and the location is unbeatable but I feel like the service doesn't match the price tag.

Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing Relais Christine for your Parisian stay and are pleased that you enjoyed the decoration of our rooms and our unique location. We are sorry to read your experience with us did not completely meet your expectations, and that you were disappointed by housekeeping and by breakfast one day. The elements you mention are not at all characteristic of the Relais Christine, where we put extra care in each detail and where our breakfast buffet is widely praised. Should you accept to give us another chance, we would make sure you have an absolutely perfect stay throughout. Yours sincerely, Jean-Luc Chomat

We were unsure about this hotel as it came with a caveat when recommended...it looks good, but we haven't stayed there. It was our first time in Paris and we absolutely loved Relais Christine. The staff were more than willing to help and greeted us warmly upon our 11pm arrival on a chilly night. We booked a spacious duplex suite. The bathroom & sitting room on the lower level and bedroom upstairs. A skylight & two large windows overlooking the courtyard, offered plenty of natural light. The hotel itself is intimate with a stylish salon where you can enjoy a drink from the honesty bar in the peaceful surrounds. The breakfast room, off the salon, is comfortable with a small, but well thought out selection of options. Delicious fresh fruit, pastries and hot selection as well as great European breakfast offerings. We found, for a small hotel, there was great variety and the food was fresh & of a high quality. The hotel is centrally located and we walked to all the nearby attractions. Plenty of options for restaurants close by with the famous Blvd St Germain, Cafe de Flore & Relais de L'EntrecĂ´te all only a short walk away. Booking tip for guests with limited mobility: the hotel has one lift servicing guests and staff, this wasn't an issue for us as we used the stairs. Request a room with a walk-in shower, our shower was over the bath and could be tricky climbing in / out of the bath. We would definitely return to this hotel and loved every minute we were in Paris!

Staying at the Relais Christine was one of the best experiences of my life. The room was so beautiful that we never wanted to leave. the bed was extremely comfortable and the room was very quiet. We especially loved the extra attention from staff to make sure our room was turned down and we had enough water or coffee. The breakfast was fabulous. There was so much to choose from and the pastries and bread were out of this world. The location couldn't have been better. We easily walked to metros or to sites like the Notre Dame. We can't wait to return to this beautiful hotel.

On the surface it is a lively hotel in a great neighborhood. But there was a lot to dislike about our experience. Our reservation included breakfast and a spa credit. But upon check in the person at reception declared that there was a fee for breakfast. We never had breakfast at the hotel as a result and instead paid for breakfast out at cafes. At checkout though a different person at the desk noted that we never enjoyed our complimentary breakfast. Pretty annoying
In addition, we had a spa credit as a part of our reservation that they disavowed it until I produced documentation proving that they had promised the credit.
More significantly, our room, a junior suite designed for three, was very uncomfortable with a rock hard bed for our son, almost no storage, and a bathroom that was downstairs from our bed. Don't stay in the junior suite.
In fairness, we had just stayed at the Rosewood in London which was amazing. So this hotel had big shoes to fill. On the other hand, this hotel room was much much smaller despite being more than $500 more each night than the Rosewood London.
At these prices I am confident you can do better even in St. Germain.

My husband and I had an fantastic stay at Relais Christine in Paris. Situated in the heart of St Germain, the hotel's location was perfect, offering an authentic neighbourhood vibe with bustling restaurants and cafes. The location felt tucked away from the touristy areas although very easy to get to any of the other areas in the city.
The rooms exuded charm and character, though they were on the cozy side. The details were beautifully done and felt very authentic. All the staff in the hotel provided exceptional service, going above and beyond to help us plan dinners and other activities.
With no downsides to mention, we would 100% recommend Relais Christine to any friends and family visiting Paris and look forward to going back again ourselves.

Dear Guests, Thank you for choosing the Relais Christine and sharing such a lovely review about our property. Indeed our central location on the left bank is the perfect place to enjoy a friends and family stay while exploring the city. Nearby cafes, bistros and art galleries offer an authentic Parisian feel and we are happy to read that you could capture this very unique atmosphere We thank you again for mentioning our staff, it is so precious for us to be recognized for our dedication! This gem is nestled in a side street in the wonderful 6th Arr. The grand salon is furnished with elegant and comfortable sofas and chairs as well as an honor bar stocked with champagne, wine, and spirits. Our room was very comfortable with an excellent bathroom with a tub, stall shower, makeup mirror, and heated towel bar. But the most outstanding feature is the gracious and accommodating staff who are multi-lingual and very patient with my struggles to speak in French. The hotel is steps away from two great bistros as well as the famed Rue Buci. Nour Reviendrons!

I researched hotels in Paris for over a year and Relais Christine ended up being our top choice. We had never been to Paris before so we wanted to be in a central location for visiting the Louvre, D’Orsay, Sainte Chapelle, etc. We also prefer a smaller venue with a more intimate atmosphere. All communication leading up to our visit could not have been more helpful. And once we arrived the experience got even better. The property is exquisite and the staff is even better. My friend and I also had a spa service which was fantastic. We hope to visit again soon as a week was not enough! Thank you to the entire staff for making our first visit to Paris an unforgettable adventure!

My wife and I have stayed in many hotels in Paris over the years, but Relais Christine is at the top of the list (together with Le Bristol, which is 3x the cost). The property is beautiful and well maintained, and it is located in one of the most interesting and diverse arrondissements of Paris. Our room was well decorated and superbly quiet and comfortable - in particular, the sheets and pillows were luxurious. The front desk staff could not have been more friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and general info. When we arrived, the room wasn't ready so the concierge made a reservation for lunch for us at Chez Fernand, just down the street, where we had an excellent lunch. We look forward to visiting Relais Christine again next year.

Relais Christine is a gorgeous boutique hotel in a restored townhouse on a quiet street in a convenient neighborhood. The turndown treats from Angelina were delicious. The hotel is an easy walk across the Seine from the Louvre. The breakfast is outstanding-try to get a room rate that includes breakfast. The hotel has been renovated with excellent taste. Our two rooms had large glass-enclosed showers that were separate from the tubs. One of the concierges recommended an excellent, atmospheric nearby restaurant, Les Editeurs, for dinner on our last night. The rooms are accessed most easily by stairs and there are steps to the breakfast room, which might be an issue for people with mobility issues, although there is an elevator. We enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.

Thank you so much for staying at the Relais Christine and for your kind words! Set in a 17th century mansion built on the remains of a 13th century abbey that can still be admired at our Guerlain spa, the Relais Christine is the ideal compromise between luxury and authenticity, a central location and peace, tradition and romance. We offer accessible rooms and have two elevators to make sure all spaces are wheelchair-accessible. We are very happy to read you enjoyed your stay and hope to have the pleasure of serving you again in a near future. Yours sincerely, Jean-Luc Chomat

Bonjour, most of our besds at 1.80 meters wide (2x 0.90 meters made as one bed) which amounts to a king in Europe but is not quite a king in the US, we usually call them Californian queen beds :)
We do have king beds in some rooms on request though.
There is a lobby/living room in this small hotel where folks sit and have drinks. We had breakfast every morning. at the hotel. What is really nice is just around the corner are many cafes for drinks and meals
