Please read this review to the end to get the full picture. The family deluxe room was very spacious and nice in all ways. The location of Blanche residence is very convenient at the border of Praha. Peter the host treated us nicely during the stay and made varying breakfast every morning. HOWEVER, our room and another room occupied by friends were charged roughly two months in advance a euro sum that was 7,5% higher than confirmed by Booking.com. Peter said that was due to his currency conversion costs. To avoid this cost, we offered to pay for the rooms in local currency (CZK) in connection with the check in. Peter accepted the offer, we paid the agreed amount in CZK and Peter promised to return the original charge (made 2 months earlier) to our credits. Now a month has passed since our checkout and Peter has promised on several occasions to return the double charge to our credit cards, yet no refunds have been received. After contacting Booking.com for support, they have asked us on 5+ occasions to send them documents of the payments (which were sent to them in connection first request), but have done anything but asked us a customers to enter in contact with Blanche Apartments. DEAR BOOKING.COM - PLEASE ASK YOUR COUNTRY EXECUTIVE OR CUSTOMER SERVICE DIRECTOR TO ENTER IN CONTACT WITH ME VIA TELEPHONE TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE. If we had been able to resolve this double charge in a smooth and respectful manner, I would have recommended Blanche Residence to any traveler visiting Praha. However, due to already losing five hours fighting with Booking.com, I cannot recommend booking a room at Blanche Residence - unless you've no better things to do than making claims to the apartment and Booking.com. …
It was a very compact apartment in a very good location. Walking distance to many of the sites we wanted to see great shops etc. Central heating was also great and very needed, a super market right below the building which was convinient. We were 4 people and it was too small for us. There was a double bed and a double sleeper couch but in a very small area so It was a bit crowded for 4 people. I would say it’s perfect for 2 people, maybe maximum 3.
Very friendly staff that were very helpfull in answering questions about sightseeing - even before we arrived. Spoke good English. Windows are very efficient in keeping out street noise. Not a luxury hotel, but well functioning for our family of four. Close to metro station. No air con, but fans in both rooms.
Upon arriving at Residences Blanche we were horrified to discover that we had in fact been given what looked and felt like a prison cell. Dirty, run down and small do not come even close to the diabolic establishment that is being sold to tourists at over inflated prices. It must be questioned whether cleaners ever even enter the rooms such was the presence of dust and markings all over the floor. Trying to stick it out, we folded out our tiny sofa into a bed and attempted to sleep on what felt like a stone mattress. In the morning we decided we could not stay any longer so enquired to the man at the reception whether any other rooms were available. Unfortunately, he only shrugged and replied that all the rooms were the same, despite the pictures clearly showing different rooms to that of our studio. This forced us to move to another hotel which led us to pay for two apartments as this was clearly ruining our stay. I will not advise anyone to stay at Residences Blanches, at least not in a studio.…
I booked this trip as a present for my partner who is about to undergo chemotherapy. We were looking forward to a weekend away in Paris and when looking at the website, it shows that these rooms are clean, comfortable and well looked after. Unfortunately, our room was disgusting. We requested to move rooms and at first glance, it wasn't as bad. After a minute we discovered a cracked window, broken lampshade, marks on the wall, filth in every corner possible and a bathroom that compares to a prison. I've stayed in places for €60 a night that are far better. They're changing $150 for this! 1/2 hr after arrival, we decided to find somewhere else. We were lucky enough to find a very nice hotel down the road for €100 per night. I'll be making every effort to get some money back from booking.com. DO NOT STAY HERE!…
