Good points : spotlessly clean, modern and very central
Room has a phone, alarm clock, iron and built in wardrobes,a safe and drawers to put stuff in
BBC world news available on a 40' TV (all the rest were French)
Staff very friendly and helpful
Bad points : Tiny rooms,I was in a privilege room and frankly would be worried about the under privileged
It was so tiny, you wouldn't swing a cat in it
There was no balcony, you'd be forgiven for thinking there might be having seen the website and you'd certainly wonder what you paid extra for
There is a window that opens wide
You will have an awful lot of street noise
Breakfast : if you want a fried egg or an Omelette, you're handed the pan and the cooker is turned on for you..
There are some luke warm 'hot breakfast items, cold meats and various continental breakfast items
Coffee is brought to your table for you (from a machine I think),nothing else
Basically you're getting a 2.5* functional experience here
Would I stay again? Not really
Too small and too basic

Stayed for 4 nights in July and was really pleased by the warm friendly welcome on arrival at this small but beautiful little Hotel in a brilliant location. On the doorstep of the historical Sorbonne within strolling distance of Notre Damme and a plethora of restaurants, cafes and shops to suit every budget. We stayed in a ‘Privilege’ room which was very clean and well equipped, with the added bonus of a gorgeous little balcony overlooking a pretty street. Blackout blinds and double glazing meant that we slept soundly, and the air conditioning was really welcome as temperatures were in the mid 30’s. Space around the end of the bed was a little tight but didn’t take away from enjoyment of the room. Fridge with complimentary soft drinks and water was an added bonus. The bathroom was a quirky shape but the shower was fantastic and the toiletries of a high quality. Breakfast was pleasant with plenty of freshly prepared choices, again served by friendly staff. Overall a really enjoyable stay. Highy recommend this little Gem in the heart of Paris. Christine

First of all, I would like to highlight the extreme kindness of the staff, who made our stay a truly wonderful experience. Their friendliness and professionalism were remarkable, adding a warm touch to our stay.
I was also delighted with the quality of the products offered at breakfast, the choices are varied and the staff takes great care.
Although the rooms are certainly small, this is normal for a hotel located in the heart of Paris. The hotel's prime location allowed us to take full advantage of all the nearby attractions.
We would like to thank you once again for your warm welcome and your special attention during our stay from 11/28 to 12/01/2003 in room no. 68 in the name of Mr. Hamouda.
We will definitely recommend your hotel to our loved ones.

A tourist trap ! A fine-looking hotel but it needs to be seen closer. First, the displayed room price at the desk was 298€ but became more than 380€ on my bill. We were in a prestigious room but the access to the bathroom is so narrow that you must enter by positioning yourself sideways ! We were offered the minibar but the fridge was opened when we arrived in the room with a very hot temperature in the closet were the fridge was placed. There was only two bottle of tap treated water and another bottle of fruit juice. The water bottles were not sealed ! The bathroom and shower floor was very slippery… The room was very small and slanted, difficult to move around the beds. Breakfast OK but nothing extraordinary. Yes, prices really increased in all Paris hotels but I know much better places for the same price.

Putting a bathrobe in a 12 m2 budget Ibis room does not transform it into a 4-star Mercure...
No decoration, low-end Formica furniture,
Tablet as a desk
2 single beds pushed together to make a double.
I definitely had the worst room in the property (hopefully).
But paid full price...

The location is ok, but needs to lift its game a bit.
Towels were old and like old tea towels, small and tired. Hot water was almost non existent, never used the cold water in the shower, and the pressure was terrible. Air conditioning was very weak, thankfully the first couple of nights were quite cool, but became more uncomfortable with the warmer weather. Rooms were tiny, Staff were very helpful.
We had drinks in the lobby on a couple of occasions and it is just the reception staff pouring the drinks. Not all of them know what they are doing!

I was extremely underwhelmed and disappointed by my stay at the MERCURE Paris Notre Dame de Près hotel. I specifically chose this hotel because I had previously stayed at a MERCURE hotel in Germany and was very impressed by the staff and quality of the rooms and the breakfast.
Despite having notified the hotel in advance that I would be sharing a twin room with an adult male sibling, I was shocked to see when I checked in that the room size was extremely small and that the two twin beds were essentially a queen size bed because they were joined together.
Hotel management did not seem to think this was a big deal because the bedding was separate; however, given that my sibling and I are grown adults of the opposite gender, the accommodations were inappropriate and hotel staff should have mentioned the room size and the bed situation ahead of time throughout our email conversations.
Due to the accommodations, I had to pay for a separate room at a much higher rate. I would not stay at this hotel again if I were travelling to Paris, nor would I recommend it to anyone I know.
Further, the breakfast option is extremely limited.

The Location is amazing, you're only 2 streets away of the most adorable restaurants and bars (at the seine with a beautiful view) however the street itself is call so your sleep won't be disturbed.
The staff was very helpful and if you need help booking tickets for the eiffeltower or moulin Rouge, anything actually they will gladly help you (they even got me a babysitter)
The rooms are a bit tiny but hey welcome to paris! That being said, the rooms are clean and roomservice is quick as well.
The breakfast was delicious, good variety.
We enjoyed our stay and I will return to this lovely hotel!
Thank you Menel and Walid!

The rooms, clean and well maintained, of the Mercure Notre Dame Saint Germain des Près hotel are renovated, a certain cozy charm results. The hotel enjoys a very good location close to the Latin Quarter , Saint Germain des Prés, the Panthéon, the Mouffetard district , the Jardin du Luxembourg and of course Notre Dame. Various buses and metro are also close by. The whole team is very attentive, attentive, always ready to help.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Paris. The location is excellent, very close to Notre Damme and the metro and rer b so it was super easy to get from the airport to it.
The service at the reception was very efficient and we even go the room ahead of check-in time which was very useful. The lobby looks modern and good, it was a nice place to get some tea/coffee in the morning. The room itself were small but modern and clean. I would have preferred it to be a big bigger, but to be expected at this location with small hallas and not enough space anywhere. The only minus during our stay was the fire alarm that happened on Saturday morning before 7 AM without them bothering later on to apologise since it was a problem in a kitchen.

I am not sure about whole wheat bread, but they do serve all the other items you have mentioned. I have mainly missed fresh vegetables, in their buffet.
Taxi - €50. From this hotel you must take the train to either Stade de France or EuroDisney as each is on different outskirts of the city. The hotel is central. The Eiffel Tower is not too far away - you could walk but you might find it a longish walk. You could take the metro. Check a map!
yes I believe they do..if you have any doubts email the hotel
Dear Madam,
