1. Money or Reputation? La Clef Louvre Paris 2. As a 5 Star Hotel, when you are in the industry of tourism. The very first thing to consider is your customer priority always come first. Because You will be facing tourists all around the world whom are SHORT term customers therefore they can give u good reviews. Despite that following yr terms n conditions actually weighs heavier than yr reputation of yr hotel. 3. On 11/9 1.15pm, I was transferred to yr hotel front desk Katherine by yr Global Accor Hotline 1800-2727272 . After explaining n REPEATING yr terms n conditions that it is non refundable rate and Hotel Manager had rejected the cancellation. You can cancel but at the price of paying the full rate of 1400 Euro. She said to transfer me to reservations department n was cut off after making me waiting for 15 mins. What a childish act to push me away. Now I’m also suspecting whether did she gave me a fake name Katherine as I asked for her name for 4 times; she replied as “I’m the Front Desk” for 4 times until the 5th time “ Your Name please?” Then she said Katherine. 4. I know my terms n conditions therefore I’m calling to ask approval but I Put and Cut off like this from a 5 star hotel, otherwise just 1 click to get a free cancellation then I will not be calling from overseas. 5. Why is yr manager so greedy for this 1400 Euro?.. to hit yr target? 6. OR is it because u guys knew that your hotel hardly have any bookings n a deserted hotel therefore u are doing this. 7. I did not make a last minute request.. n down the days to 17 Oct which is my check date there is still near to 2 months in advance in order for yr room to be booked by other guests. 8. Now that I’m being force to stay at yr Hotel after being an unhappy customer , do u think I will enjoy my stay there? 9. I will be coming for my stay, since I can’t get back my $1400 Euro because it’s under a NON-REFUNDABLE RATE. I expect a 5 STAR service and CONDITIONS to be delivered since yr hotel believes everything have to follow terms n conditions, otherwise you will not be fitted to be rated 5 star.

The best thing about the hotel is it’s location - within walking distance to most attractions and across the road from Louvre. However the hotel itself was very expensive for what you received. The elevator kept braking down, the front desk staff had no knowledge of any of the local restaurants or cafes in the area and for a 5 star hotel I would have expected them to be more aware of what was in the area. We were there 7 days and the breakfast was the same daily, Erlina in the breakfast room was lovely but the seating arrangements being couches were very low. My brothers room had a toilet that made a horrendous sound every time it flushed. Hand on heart having worked in the hospitality and hotel industry for a long time I could not recommend this hotel.

The hotel staff heavily influenced my rating of the property. The moment we checked in early we were greeted with enthusiasm and care -“empathy”. I’ve traveled in the past and checking in early only means of your booked rooms are available or not. I’ve had to wait and sit at a Starbucks tired while the booked room is awaiting of the previous guest to check out and room gets cleaned. The location and proximity to sightseeing was also great! There’s many great restaurants around the area as well. I’d highly recommend Le Clef Lourve Hotel.

This was my second time staying at La Clef Louvre, and once again, I was incredibly pleased with absolutely everything. The rooms are like mini apartments with dishwashers, washing machines, kitchenettes, and lots of space to make you feel like home. The staff is friendly and accommodating. And the best part of this hotel is the unreal location it provides. You walk outside and can SEE the Louvre. You're walking distance to not only the Louvre, but Tuileries Garden, Musee D'Orsay, Musee O'rangerie, Place de la Concorde, and just a short walk to Ile de la Cite to see Notre Dame and Sainte Chapelle!

Let it Glow I wrote a review Jun 2023

A few hours after we booked our stay we realized we would not be able to leave on our trip due to some issues that caused us to cancel our trip. I immediately reached out to the hotel to ask if I could cancel or get a credit since it had only be a few hours. It took the hotel 3 days to get a manager to respond to me after multiple emails and phone calls. All I get was a flat out no and I wouldn’t get any future credit. They essentially kept $1200 and could care less. I was told that even if it was a minute later after I made the reservation I could not cancel. This has been a very expensive lesson to me. Do not reserve at a place with such a strict cancellation policy. Most hotels give you at least 24 hours to cancel. Find something else. You never know what will happen and it seems like the manager never works and no one can do anything without her blessing.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to sites and restaurants and parks. My first room was very loud (and not well maintained) and I couldn’t sleep at night so the front desk kindly swapped rooms for me. The new room was wonderful, spacious on the upper floors and a great amenity was the bathtub and the washer and dryer inside the room was extremely helpful after over a week in Europe prior. Staff was very friendly and helped me book a restaurant my friend requested.

From the moment we entered the hotel, we were made to feel welcome. We were always greeted with smiles. All our questions were answered. We were given excellent recommendations on places to eat, visit and shop. They even decorated our room with balloons, confetti and chocolate to celebrate our birthdays. The location is perfect!

Overall I had a lovely stay here at Le Clef and I would recommend! I travelled alone to Paris and this was a great base for me. Pros - Perfect perfect perfect location - in the middle of everywhere, a lovely, safe surrounding area, which was especially important as I was travelling solo. - Room was spacious, clean and modern. By European standards the room was massive! And if you have a baby travelling with you, the kitchen area was well equipped and would be so helpful for prepping bottles and food. - Bed was large and comfortable - plenty of pillows! - Staff were friendly and helpful - offering a coffee or cold drink on arrival, always greeting you back into and out of the hotel! - Room service is available, although be warned it may take an hour and there’s a $20 surcharge for the privilege, given that it comes from a partner restaurant. That put me off ordering, but to be honest there are so so many beautiful restaurants nearby you don't need it. - The room had a small balcony, which was lovely. - The gym is small but has new cardio machines (unfortunately no squat rack or weights but did have dumbells). They also provide water and hand towels there. - I never had the breakfast but I did take advantage of the free coffee in the small restaurant area so managed to have a look at the offering and it looked like a good continental breakfast. Again, so many restaurants nearby, I would personally head out somewhere. Cons - It was noisy in the hotel room (I was room 106 on the first floor on the back of the hotel) Whether it was the various delivery lorries that kept coming up and down the road just outside or the music playing from somewhere on the street until 11pm. Some noise in a city centre is expected, but I'd argue that the rooms are definitely not ‘sound proofed’ as advertised by the hotel themselves. - The honesty bar is a lovely touch, as are the free coffee/tea and the idea that you can help yourself to ‘dessert’ downstairs. Only, when I looked, none of the wine or champagne was cold, the ice had all melted, there was only a soggy pancake in the dessert offering and several items were in need of a refill.

We loved this hotel! Beautiful decor, spacious rooms, comfy big bed, full length windows, super clean bathroom and excellent staff... couldn't fault it. Great location, 2 blocks from the Louvre and Jardins des Tuileries, also just at the end of Rue St Honoré, so many great cafes and restaurants all around. Highly recommended.
