We stayed here last week and were very happy with all aspects that this boutique hotel has to offer. The bedroom itself was quite small but as a base for visiting Paris, it was more than adequate with a lovely bathroom, great staff, decent price and beside the RER Luxembourg station! Internet connection not great in bedroom but fine in... More

Pros: Location Cons: None really Arrived via Metro from Orly and found the hotel easily. At check in the staff was helpful and friendly providing a recommendation for a place to eat lunch. We were given a ground floor room right off the lobby. The room was pleasantly quirky (window onto an atrium and a boat type window in the... More

I love to stay in here, the location is excellent! Only few step to Jardin du Luxembourg, just 5 mins walk, close to metro station, and you can find also many stalls selling food. The room are nice and clean. The atmosphere of this hotel is calm & lovely.

This is a great hotel in a lovely part of the city. Just a short walk from the Luxembourg metro station ( direct line to Paris Charles de Gaulle). Both Pantheon and Luxembourg Gardens are nearby and great to visit and plenty of pavement cafés to sit at and people watch. We ate at La Ferrandaise, Rue du Vaugirard and... More

Loved staying here! Couldn't be in a better part of Paris and for a decent price. Stones throw from the Luxembourg Gardens, walking distance to Latin Quarter and Notre Dame. So cute from the street, and very cute inside as well. We even had a little balcony. Room and Bathroom were very clean and updated, and free WiFi. Everyone was... More

This hotel is straight off the blue line train that comes direct from CDG. Directly 1/2 a block from the stop, beside the Luxembourg Gardens, in a lovely neighborhood with cafe's, McDonald's, and good restaurants. The staff speaks adequate English, they have heat and air in each room, and the rooms are nicely sized, larger than the standard closet type... More

As many other reviewers have said, this hotel is in an excellent location. The room we were in could do with being redecorated but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Although the room was quite small, it was easy to store suitcases out of the way, which made a big difference. All linen was of good quality and... More

Located a block away fromt the spectacular gardens, and within a stone's throw of great food and markets, this hotel is an economical alternative. As with all older hotels in Paris, the rooms are not that spacious, but there is a nice lobby center to relax outside of the room. Free newspapers in the morning. If you like jazz, visit... More

I recently stayed at the Jardins du Luxembourg hotel with my husband for two nights. The location is probably the best thing the hotel has on offer. We arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport Terminal 2 and jumped on the RER train which brought us straight to the Luxembourg stop about 30 minutes later and the hotel is a 2... More

Enjoyable five night stay at an ideally located hotel near centre of Paris. The hotel was tucked away, in a very quiet side street, very close to the Luxembourg metro station. The reception and lounge on ground floor were small but nicely furnished. The receptionist was very welcoming and efficient. It helped that's she could speak English as well as... More

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
