My wife and I had a weekend in Paris. We'd been before but just wanted someone near some of the sights so we could wander around at our leisure.
The Renaissance Paris Hotel Le Parc Trocadero was perfect for that.

Recently stayed at this hotel, which is ideally located between the Arc de Triomphe and the Eifel Tower. The hotel looks lovely both inside and out, with a nice, small bar area by reception. We had dinner there both nights as the first meal was...More
Vey nice hotel within walking distance of the Eifel Tower. This is not a big boxy hotel like in the US but rather a collection of very old buildings taht have been transformed into a night Marriott. Very nice breakfast. Front desk staff was super...More
We enjoyed our stay at the Renaissance. The hotel was charming for a Renaissance, The room was nice enough - not large, but reasonable for Paris. The staff was friendly and helpful. The fabulous breakfast was probably my favorite part of our stay. We enjoyed...More
The staff made us feel special, Audrey was wonderful. We went on Marriott points and upgraded to a bigger room, lovely hotel. Great breakfast and can't beat the location-grocery, metro, cafes, restauraurants, great concierges. Overall wonderful experience.

This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical
significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.

They are many restaurant at walking distance, more likely you might find English speaking staff at the "le coq" place du Trocadéro. Good food, modern style. Although in most of restaurant you might have menu in English, I really recommend "le petit victor" street Lauriston, you should try in summer time restaurant of the hotel which rather good and in the garden of the hotel, very nice . The team of concierge is very knowledgeable and efficient and will be able to give you many options.

I'd recommend a cab especially if you have a lot of luggage. The Metro isn't very convenient if you've got luggage. We took a cab from Gare Lyon to the hotel at midday on a Friday with no issues. It was crowded but not bad. When we left, we took a cab from the hotel to Charles de Gaulle, again with no issues. Plus, you get to see the city.
