My wife and I wanted to see Paris when life was less frantic than usual. Little did we expect a week before that the mass killings would have occurred. We arrived in the late afternoon as dark was falling over the city. When the cab from the airport drove up the Avenue Poincare, the city seemed shrouded in a hush.... More

Friendly hotel located between two metro stations, Victor Hugo and Trocadero. Eiffel Tower is either a 20 minute walk or 2 stops on the metro from Trocadero. We had a large room with a sofa bed for our daughter. Very comfortable for Paris. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The concierge gave us very explicit written instructions how... More

This is an expensive hotel. It is in a prime location, but If you're splashing out this much, you expect a reasonable level of service. The decor is suitably luxurious and the rooms beautifully kitted out, and yet the basics weren't all there. We arrived late and hungry, to find food was no longer being served, despite being within the... More

We had a fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived the stay were courteous and attentive, from the front desk to the cleaners to the restaurant staff. All had a smile and we ready to assist. The room was well appointed and clean, a great suite with enough space for the whole family (4 of us). The hotel location was... More

My group stayed here for two nights as an opportunity to stay in a different area of the city that would make our trip to the airport easy. This is a beautiful property, that is surprisingly spacious (especially for Paris). I loved how easy it was to find a good meal nearby as well.

We were pleased with hotel including our room (size and cleanliness). Another family (parents and one adult child) in our party had a suite that didn't meet their expectations (too small). The location is very good (you can easily walk to Eiffel Tower) and excellent for metro. I used metro every day incl solo trips (day and night) to go... More

First class property with great service in a great location. We arrived early in the day and were able to check in early, freshen up and get our trip started in a very positive way. We enjoyed breakfast onsite each day of our visit in an indoor/outdoor dining area... the courtyard is beautiful. Service throughout our stay was cheerful and... More

My husband and I flew to Europe for an American Football game in the UK. As a birthday present we decided to fly to Paris for an overnight stay. Since we would only be in Paris two days and one night, we wanted to be stay somewhere relatively close to the attractions we wanted to see. I chose this hotel,... More

We love this hotel--the location is perfect for us, tucked away in a posh neighborhood with plenty of bistros/brasseries around, but quiet so you can sleep, nice sized rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are very clean, beds very comfy, and you're a 10 min walk from the Eiffel Tower, maybe 15 from the Arc d'Triomphe. We do not... More

Lovely hotel, I stayed here for one night and was extremely impressed. On first arrival the staff were very friendly and really helpful, I was even escorted across the beautiful courtyard to the block where my room was pleasantly surprised by a very clean and nice room with a great view of the courtyard. The bed was probably one of... More

Staying in Trocadero

Neighborhood Profile
Trocadero
This is the neighborhood of grand and impressive Haussmann-designed apartments and buildings. National museums overlook the Eiffel Tower and embassies fill the avenues and streets. Locals head to the butcher, florist, or bakery on their daily rounds amidst luxury and splendor, all with a view over Paris and its most famous tower. Snuggled in between the grand buildings are small art galleries and homes of historical significance. With a rich legacy from 19th century politics, art, and architecture, you can’t help but be reminded of the belle époque, the Universal Exhibitions and the nobility that have frequented and shaped these streets.
