Does the job but seemed very expensive for the level of the hotel. It’s just a fairly basic hotel. It would be $150/night at most if it wasn’t in Paris. There was a problem with the hot water and breakfast is so so. Nothing like what you’d expect for the money. It works I guess but for the same money you could get a lot more, even in Paris, so I would shop around and find somewhere else.

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and some friends and I had stayed in this lovely Renaissance hotel in April, 2009. We found the concierge staff to be most helpful and the location near the Eiffel Tower to be very centrally located. Thus, we booked a trip for the summer of 2022 at this same location. I am Titanium Elite with Marriott, so I/we have stayed in many Marriotts or their other brands. I booked a prepaid garden room with a king bed for June 25-29, 2022. After booking the room, I read a review in Trip Advisor. It indicated that the terrace and the restaurant were under construction, which made it very difficult to be in a garden room location. I called Marriott’s customer service and spoke to a lady who advised me she would contact the hotel by email and ask them to contact me. I indeed received an email from Damien Belaud in reception about a month prior to my stay. Damien advised me that the construction of the Terrace had been completed and that it was in the final decorating stage. He assured me that the terrace work would be completed by the time of my arrival. It was completed when we arrived and the terrace was absolutely beautiful! We were able to eat breakfast on the Terrace several mornings ~ what to delightful place to begin your day! The Concierge staff at this hotel is incredible. Prior to my arrival, Oliver Dubray assisted me in finding a location of a business that was near the hotel, since it had many locations in Paris and I was unfamiliar with the geography. Upon arrival, Gael took a Paris map and pinpointed multiple places that we wanted to visit during our stay. Since we had visited Paris on prior occasions, we decided we wanted to take one of the bus tours to allow us to see some of our favorite things and places once again. Gael booked the trip for us. Later, we embarked from the hotel to traverse to the bus stop. We walked down three or four different streets and every single one of them was totally blocked by firemen and police officers, as there had been a significant fire in an apartment near the hotel. Out of desperation, I called the hotel and reached Lea Baillivet. I explained the situation to Lea and she asked me where we were located. I told her and she said she would come help us. Being from Texas, we drive our cars everywhere. We made the assumption she would drive to where we were located. Imagine our surprise, when we saw Lea jogging down the street towards us in her black Renaissance dress and jacket. She directed us to a street that wasn’t blocked and closed. She was so kind and humble, as if she had not done anything. Lea, by far, went ABOVE and BEYOND that of what most employees would have done. Her comprehension and delivery of customer service excellence is amazing, especially given her very young age. This concierge staff at the Renaissance should be given commendations for their efforts in helping their guests have a fabulous vacation. We will certainly return to this hotel when we return to Paris! We highly recommend it to you!

Very disappointing experience. The location is nice and the staff is friendly but the hotel is very far to be even close to a 4star For €600/night you would expect much better experience The rooms are very small The breakfast is sub standard The bathroom is small and needs a refresh And to make it incredible I couldn’t even take a proper hot shower on the second day

Dropped off luggage for storage and returned to hotel in afternoon. Check- in smooth and friendly Another Paris hotel with small rooms but I hoped for more in a more modern brand. Two bags of luggage a problem and had to put in entryway area along wall. No luggage rack. Bathroom nice although counter space minimal. Windows open which provided some fresh air. Sleep quality very poor. The bed has a nice soft diver but the bed itself is hard. Not at all comfortable and my back pointed that out to me. The previous 2 nights at another hotel put this bed to shame. And then in early morning around 6 a sound started me co to use about every 5 or 6 minutes. A cross between a drill or impact sound that would last about 2 seconds. Especially noticed in the bathroom. Breakfast continental was OK. Would not stay here again and I have stayed in many Hotels in the Marriott family. Certainly not worth the cost and this was called a deluxe room with view of courtyard.

Great hotel. Well located. Fantastic service. From Osna in front desk, Breakfast Team, Lea at concierge and finally Ahmed the fantastic porter. A little story. I forgot my bag at the hotel leaving in a taxi. While driving I see a car approaching with Ahmed in it. He took a cab and brought me my bag. That was unique top notch service. I am still amazed of his entrepreneurial action. Thanks a lot for the amazing stay

I stayed here with my mother in May 2022 to celebrate her milestone birthday. I’ve been thinking about the trip over the last few months and was compelled to write a review. The service from Gaël at the concierge desk was absolutely exceptional and truly made the trip better than I imagined. I emailed ahead of time for help booking a restaurant I wasn’t able to get a reservation for and within the hour, he emailed me back with a reservation with the exact date and time I needed. He asked if he could help with anything else, so he helped us book a tour of Versailles, which picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off again. Just what I had been searching for but couldn’t find online. In my email, I mentioned it was a trip for a milestone birthday, so when we arrived there was a bottle of champagne and a small cake with “happy birthday” written on it. When the concierge staff made us a reservation, they would call our room with a friendly reminder or mention is to us in the lobby (amazing how they could personally know guests by name). I really cannot say enough good things about the service. We stayed in a garden view room, which I found a bit small, but it was what I expect in a major European city. The location is wonderful on a quiet street, but easy to walk or take a short Uber anywhere you need to get. Thank you again to Gaël and his concierge team for the memorable trip and exceptional service.

We had a nice stay here for 1 night in a Garden View King room. The room and bathroom were plenty spacious. The bath/shower were tucked oddly into the corner of the bathroom, so it was a bit awkward to get in/out. The hotel is in a good location, within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, but not in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the area. The staff were very pleasant and the hotel was clean. While not my favorite place I've stayed in Paris, overall we had a nice stay and would recommend for a mid-range hotel in this neighborhood.

Hotel is modern, staff friendly and accommodating. We booked a suite for our family and the room was actually 2 levels - not ideal for small children. The pull out couch was surprisingly comfortable and the pack-n-play provided by the hotel was great. There is a bathtub which is wonderful for children and relaxing. The glass door only partitioned off half the tub which allowed too much water on the floor when bathing. If you love a very firm mattress, these beds are ideal for you. I did request a mattress topper to provide some soft comfort but one was not available. The bar staff are lovely and the areas is recently remodeled. Great for an aperitif. One interesting bit is the beautiful courtyard. Breakfast buffet seating is in the courtyard however it is a separate restaurant in the evening at which you cannot get reservations.

Came to the hotel in the early morning and was told that the check in time was at 3pm. It looked more like a boutique hotel than a chain Marriott property. No problem, we dropped off the luggage and headed out to explore the city. The location is very convenient as it’s within the walking distance to the great Eiffel Tower, Arc d’Triomphe and the bridge where Inception was filmed at. As a platinum elite, I wasn’t much recognized as my suite upgrade certificates were denied and I was asked to pay €200/night in order to upgrade to a family room. In fact, unless I was staying at Courtyard or other more economical tier Marriott properties, this was the first time an upgrade wasn’t granted neither through the platinum status nor the upgrade certificates but it’s okay as I know they are running a business. Breakfast was okay as it included continental breakfast, croissants, juices, and some cold cuts. Omelets could also be orders through staffs. Friendly staff handed a piece of paper for us to tip should we feel the service was good. Staff was definitely friendly and helpful. All and all, the hotel is at a good location, close to restaurants but with small space.
