    ...My only gripe is the marketing, and subsequent cost, of the Opera View Rooms. We booked a Premium Opera View Balcony King Room, and were provided a nice room near the front of the Opera... We realise this is not the hotel's fault, however when these rooms are being charged at significantly more than other rooms in the hotel, we were left feeling pretty annoyed to be honest... I wouldn't hesitate recommending this hotel, but just be warned about these rooms for the foreseeable future (ie... the renovation work will apparently be completed end of 2024)...

    ...We booked a Opera View room for 6 days on a recent stay and was surprised to find that the 2nd floor view of the opera house was just a view of the contraction scaffolding surrounding the building. I then noticed that subway station directly underneath the room would cause the room to shake every minute or so... I tried calling the front desk from the room but after 3 calls and waiting for 20min for a call back I had to walk down to the front desk to enquire about a different room... The front desk representative seem to be aware of the issues and told me that this is a frequent complaint about those rooms but that they did not have any other opera view rooms available so they would have to move me to a different non-opera view room if we wanted to change... We agreed to the change as we would not be able to fall asleep in that room given all the noise and shaking... The staff was nice enough have our luggage moved for us but when arriving to our new room, we found that we were still over a subway station and the room shook every few minutes... At least this room has less street noise which helped a little bit...

    I was very happy and pleased to stay at this beautiful lovely hotel. All of the front-of-house staff from the doormen, and valet to the room attendants always genuinely smiled, welcoming me and my family... The front desk club room staff including our attendants Arsene and Guiseppe (the kind Italian gentleman wearing spectacles) were very hospitable to me and my family... The club room was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and always stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks... I highly recommend the club room, you will not be disappointed...

    Not money worth place with unprofessional and helpless people, train station like. We book a room for 2300 euro, we arrived at 18.00, the room was not ready (when it should had been by 14.00)... It took me almost 2 hours to cancel and get a refund at hotels com as this hotel didn't do anything to contact them to solve the problem... They don't deserve this cash for the service they cannot provide... Pitty overpriced place, crowded and ugly... Support independent boutique hotels instead who care about you...

    ...The shower is so small that you have to spin in pace to rinse off and their soap and shampoo bottles are so large that they don't fit on the holder that is in the shower so they are all placed on the floor which is it's own issue since the shower is so small that you cannot bend over to pick them up. You'll find yourself doing a death-defying squat while trying not to slip in order to get the soap, shampoo, and conditioner...

    ...Our (upgraded) room was not ready when we arrived and the gentleman at the desk invited us to relax in the hotel's Lobby Bar for a complementary glass of champagne until it was ready... Our room, once ready, was by far the nicest one of our long trip... The breakfast was sooo delicious and everyone on the staff was helpful... The concierge desk was terrific and recommended some delicious dinners..thank you Jean... and lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance... The water pressure is very low and the water never got very hot...

    We spent 6 wonderful nights at Intercontinental Le Grand in rooms 3134 and 3211... Housekeeping: 10/10 Morning and turn down service daily was impeccable... Concierge team: 10/10 I communicated with Louise prior to our arrival and she arranged some tours for us which were amazing and the ladies and gentlemen at the desk were all extremely helpful with restaurant reservations and recommendations... The STARS of this hotel were the wonderful staff at the club lounge... Mr. Joseph, Mr. Gilbert, Mr Henri and all of the other members of the club lounge provided the most amazing service!... Our family thanks you for making our stay all the more special...

    ...I tried calling the front desk from the room but after 3 calls and waiting for 20min for a call back I had to walk down to the front desk to enquire about a different room. The front desk representative seem to be aware of the issues and told me that this is a frequent complaint about those rooms but that they did not have any other opera view rooms available so they would have to move me to a different non-opera view room if we wanted to change... I then found that the first representative we worked with never gave us the welcome packet of wifi information...

    I was very happy and pleased to stay at this beautiful lovely hotel. All of the front-of-house staff from the doormen, and valet to the room attendants always genuinely smiled, welcoming me and my family... The front desk club room staff including our attendants Arsene and Guiseppe (the kind Italian gentleman wearing spectacles) were very hospitable to me and my family... The club room was very comfortable, clean, quiet, and always stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks... I highly recommend the club room, you will not be disappointed... When inquiring about reservations to a certain exclusive venue, the concierge Lea, was most helpful and willing to accommodate... It seemed like anything you needed, the staff here was always willing to help... I am so grateful for the kindness and warmth that I received from this hotel... Thank you to all who accommodated us at the Intercontinental Paris - Le Grand...

From the front desk (thanks to Valentine and her colleagues) to the concierge desk staff, not to mention the great staff in Cafe de la Paix, everything was top notch... Being Platinum members (IHG), the buffet breakfast was offered daily which was exceptional serving every diverse group of cultural foods imaginable... The wait staff was wonderful, both at breakfast and at dinner... Our rooms were immaculate and turndown service was nice to come back to after a day out in Paris on our feet...

    The hotel had an an ideal location, was beautiful inside, and the service was exceptional. We were traveling to celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make the experience even beyond what she dreamed... A particular thanks to Qi, with whom I had communicated in advance and who we then met while at the hotel - we have deep gratitude for all the ways in which you made this experience special... I would absolutely stay here again should we travel back to Paris...

The entire staff were so accommodating and kind..from the front desk employees, to the bar staff, to our waiter at Cafe de La Paix as well as the doormen, valet and maid staff we encountered... Walkable to so many things, as well as close metro/underground stops that were very convenient...

    ...All I can say is, this hotel is a no-brainer for anyone who expects American 1st class service in Paris. The staff are truly wonderful, from the bellhops to the manager... We had an issue during our stay, and the hotel could not do enough for us to correct it... My honest opinion is that more 'Leading Hotels' would succeed a lot better if they followed customer service care as well as Christophe and his superb team at The Intercontinental Paris Le Grand...

    ...We book a room for 2300 euro, we arrived at 18.00, the room was not ready (when it should had been by 14.00). Hotel didn't care, instead they offered a smaller room to wait untill out room is ready... It took me almost 2 hours to cancel and get a refund at hotels com as this hotel didn't do anything to contact them to solve the problem... They don't deserve this cash for the service they cannot provide... Support independent boutique hotels instead who care about you...

The lounge is now quite large and never really crowded... The lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea and "drinks and canapés" in the late afternoon/early evenings (1700-1900)... Unfortunately Le Grand does not score high here: what is offered for afternoon tea and evening canapés was pretty much the same every day: nothing warm in the evening...

    This hotel is amazing at the moment of check-in we felt so welcomed by Marianne she greeted us with a smile and great service. We waited for our room in the club lounge which turned out to be our favorite spot in Paris... The hotel is in a great location, and the service is exceptional... The club lounge is the real star of this hotel together with its manager mister Gilles, he made sure we felt like royalty during our stay, he keeps the lounge going like a fine-tuned clock... His kindness and friendliness is amazing and he plays a big part in why we loved this hotel, actually so much that we booked again for my birthday in February... Arsene, Gilbert, and Henry also did an excellent job in serving us and letting us feel welcome and valued guests... And Leo in the lounge was very friendly and helpful too... We can't wait to stay again I still daydream of all the tarts I got in the lounge, and can't wait to stay again in February and spend my birthday in this beautiful hotel surrounded by amazing staff... This hotel has it all, location, beautifully decorated and exceptional service you won't find easily around the world... I give the hotel 10/10 without a doubt...

Despite my diamond status in IHG Rewards and having checked in after midnight, we were offered late checkout until only 14:00... When guests pre-notify their arrival and departure times, it shouldn't be difficult to organise housekeeping so that guests can enjoy each paid night for almost 24 hours...

    ...But what made this hotel exceptional for us was the concierge service. They provided helpful information via email before our visit... When we arrived early in the morning after a long flight, they were able to accommodate us with an early check in... They helped us get a table for dinner at a wonderful neighborhood restaurant, Le Petit Regalade... And when we were leaving on a Sunday morning, and were surprised to learn that the streets were closed and there were no taxis to take us to the Gare de Lyon train station because of a 10K race, the concierge on duty gave us Metro tickets and personally accompanied us to Auber Metro, carrying both our heavy bags and showing us where to find our train... Exceptional service like that is rare these days, but it is clear the Le Grand has an exceptional team... Thank you for all your staff did to provide us with a wonderful at your beautiful hotel!...

Yes, I didn’t get my guaranteed upgrade as an Ambassador member but I get it that the hotel is so full and appreciated that they gave me a very large Premium room on the top floor as per my request and even threw in a bottle of champagne and platter of macaroons to celebrate my anniversary with my hubby... Room was nicely refurbished, bed was very comfortable and the housekeeping team was excellent...

    We spent 6 wonderful nights at Intercontinental Le Grand in rooms 3134 and 3211... Hotel location is perfect and I loved running to Jardin des Tuileries on my morning runs... So much shopping and dining steps away from the hotel... Concierge team: 10/10 I communicated with Louise prior to our arrival and she arranged some tours for us which were amazing and the ladies and gentlemen at the desk were all extremely helpful with restaurant reservations and recommendations... Mr. Joseph, Mr. Gilbert, Mr Henri and all of the other members of the club lounge provided the most amazing service!... Our family thanks you for making our stay all the more special... We looked forward to our breakfast and afternoon break in the club...

    ...I then found that the first representative we worked with never gave us the welcome packet of wifi information... The shower is so small that you have to spin in pace to rinse off and their soap and shampoo bottles are so large that they don't fit on the holder that is in the shower so they are all placed on the floor which is it's own issue since the shower is so small that you cannot bend over to pick them up... You'll find yourself doing a death-defying squat while trying not to slip in order to get the soap, shampoo, and conditioner... Lastly, the hotel has a beautiful entry way with two sets of large double doors although they 3 of the 4 sets are closed off and they have a bellman opening one of the double doors so you'll find yourself opening the first door from the street then having an awkward dance with the bellman to get into second door and into the hotel lobby...

I also can't stress enough how ideal it's location is... I know some may complain that it's in a "touristy" area, but it is central to just about everything in Paris, with loads of subway lines and bus stops just a few feet away, and walking distance to many of the best attractions...

    Beautiful, grand hotel in a central location in Paris. Booked a King Premium balcony room and the bedroom and bathroom were both very spacious with beautiful decor and a very comfortable bed... The room had 3 small balconies with incredible views... The entire staff were so accommodating and kind..from the front desk employees, to the bar staff, to our waiter at Cafe de La Paix as well as the doormen, valet and maid staff we encountered... Highly recommend for an upscale, yet comfortable hotel in the beautiful city of Paris... Walkable to so many things, as well as close metro/underground stops that were very convenient... Would love to return to this hotel in the future...

All I can say is, this hotel is a no-brainer for anyone who expects American 1st class service in Paris... The decor is beautiful, the entire atmosphere is so elegant, and the beds (of course) are spectacular... If anyone is looking for a high-class stay in the 'Opera' district of Paris, this hotel requires no further thought, just book...

    ...We had a great (upgraded) room (Rue Scribe) on a high floor. Great beds, clean room... We had also booked lounge access to avoid the crowds in the main restaurant... The lounge moved to the 1st floor and is quite large... The lounge staff is very friendly and helpful and you can check-in and check-out at the Lounge... Breakfast at the lounge was Ok but somewhat basic... It was possible to order from a limited menu as well... The croissants are excellent (which has become rare in hotels around the world) but we are in Paris so you would expect it... The lounge is now quite large and never really crowded... It's a really great place to be if you want some peace and quiet after a busy day and it really feels "at home"... The lounge offers breakfast, afternoon tea and "drinks and canapés" in the late afternoon/early evenings (1700-1900)... As we stayed in other Intercontinental and their lounges in London Park Lane and Tokyo ANA we could compare... Unfortunately Le Grand does not score high here: what is offered for afternoon tea and evening canapés was pretty much the same every day: nothing warm in the evening... So management: please do something about this so you can rank amongst the best lounges... But overall we had a great stay and will be back...

    The hotel is in lovely historic building in a fantastic location next to Opéra, very close to department stores and other shops, as well as several métro and RER stations... Breakfast is a hefty €45 per person, but was free because of my diamond status in IHG Rewards... We liked the way that the hotel gave us fruit and water in the room... It also means that there's no paper in the bathroom... The hotel provides no bars of soap, not even on request... In a 5* hotel, I expect bars of soap, at least on request... There were power sockets on only one side of the bed... Does whoever designed the rooms believe that only one person in a couple needs to charge a smartphone (and smartwatch) at night?... Despite my diamond status in IHG Rewards and having checked in after midnight, we were offered late checkout until only 14:00...

We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, it was very good and there are lots of restaurants with various price points within easy walking distance... The bed was very comfortable and it was extraoedinary cleaning. The rooms were very small as were the bathtubs! Overall the hotel was beautiful and servoce was great. We received a charge for lunch that wasnt ours and they took it right off. The service in the bar was very slow though and twice we left before ordering drinks because we had waited for over 20 mins. It is not located in my favorite area of Paris but most of the people we were with loved the neighborhood for the shopping.

I quit writing reviews, unless something far exceeds or falls severely below expectations. Well, FAR EXCEEDS! It was absolutely perfect in every regard. Yes, it was a bit pricey and excellence was expected. The rooms are lavishly, tastefully decorated. Clean, with all modern conveniences. Great linens and mattress. Turn down service with towels replaced nightly. Friendly personnel everywhere! The bellhops, doorman, concierges, front desk, restaurant, housekeeping… I was constantly greeted with a smaile and sincere ‘Bonjour Madam!’ The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Staying here ‘made’ my trip to Paris simply perfect!

This was our second stay at a convention at Le Grand. We are in the IHG loyalty program, so I guess that helps. Our junior suite was truly excellent with great staff service, including turndown. Large bathroom with tub and separate walk-in shower; plenty of closet space; super clean and nicely appointed. The included breakfast in La Cafe de la Paix was excellent, also with really nice staff. The bar is nice, though small, and sometimes closed inexpicably for private events (why do that at a hotel bar???). The bell staff was also very helpful. An easy place to get a cab or Uber from, right in the heart of the shopping area across from the grand Opera Garnier, and a block away from Galeries Lafayette and Printemps. A truly nice place to stay at prices far more reasonable than the famous hotels. We look forward to returning.

A beautiful Paris hotel. My fiancé and I stayed here for a conference. We upgraded to a little larger room, which was well worth it. Turn down service every night with fresh robes and towels. The ballroom was spectacular. Great location easy walk to many attractions.

The public areas are great. The location good. Service in general was fine. But we are unlikely to return. The room set-up is not up to my standards. The bathroom is large but with a very small and low shower. No ledge so soap, etc. was left by housekeeping on the shower floor - but the shower was to small to pick it up. The shower also flooded the floor. A massive bathroom but only one sink. These bathroom are ripe for renovation and far from luxurious. The room itself was quite small - not an issue in itself but there's a lack of space for luggage. The minibar has sensors - and when I tried to put medications into it it automatically charged my account for half a dozen drinks. No issue to get these taken of the bill but it is a convenience for the hotel - not the guest. The room was quiet and the bed good. Housekeeping also very good. But at 5AM in the morning a recurring alarm sounded from the vent system and it took over an hour to resolve. On check-out they offered me points as a goodwill gesture, which I appreciated, but I had to contact customer service several weeks later to receive them. While guests that have selected the right room may be very happy I don't think we will be returning.

This is a very bad hotel, in terms of service in particular! The rooms are old and not what you could expect from a hotel of such category. Mine had an awful smell. We missed our appointment because at reception there were only 2 people although it was checkout time. No one helps with luggage, employees are unfriendly and don’t understand English well. A nightmare.

Intercontinental Paris Le Grand is a fantastic hotel. I keep coming back to it and I'm planning on doing so in my future visits to Paris. The historical building is an attraction on its own, the location is perfect, the room comfort is excellent, but this time I want to acknowledge the service by the staff. This time I booked through Hotels.com and they had made a mistake in my reservation. The Reception manager, Ms. Chaimaa not only was able to solve the issue, but she was efficient, kind, supportive and professional during the whole incident. She managed to turn an inconvenient into a wonderful stay for me. I want to thank Ms. Chaimaa for her professional and personal approach and for all the attentions during my wonderful stay at your hotel. I will keep coming to this hotel.

I selected the intercontinental Le grand based on its location as well as the reviews that it was remodeled during Covid by a famous designer. The Hotel was remodeled in 2021 and it is an outstanding blend of the old and the new. The designer for the renovation also designed the Waldorf Astoria in Beverly Hills and that is one of my favorite hotels in the world . I can report that The physical design and condition of the hotel are excellent . Everything is very clean and like new - except where they have chosen to keep parts of the original hotel which have been reconditioned to keep their historic character. The Service is excellent and very much up to a 5 star standard. If you don’t speak French everyone speaks English very well . The lounge managed by Gilles is exceptional and on par with Ritz Carlton standards. Gilles greets his guests by name and was very helpful for all my needs. The other lounge staff were terrific as well. Room service and housekeeping were likewise Five star and all of my requests were accommodated quickly. As a traveler who has over 2000 nights in luxury hotels, this hotel is certainly one of the best and I highly recommend it for those visiting Paris.

Something is wrong with this hotel. The building is in a great location. We did eventually get an excellent sleep. Three of the four reception staff I met were exceedingly friendly and helpful. One guy really went out of his way for me (eventually). However, the room we received at first was a sauna. It was unbelievably, sweatily hot up there. Nobody downstairs believed me. Despite a visit from maintenance, it took three hours of phone calls and visits to reception to get anyone to take the problem seriously. Having worked out the air conditioner was indeed broken and the room uninhabitable, it took a further 90 minutes to move us. We arrived at 7 and couldn't go to bed until almost midnight, missing dinner as a result. During those hours I felt ignored, belittled, and angry when one receptionist emerged to explain that my status at the hotel was low because I booked through a third party site. Jerk, I paid more than a thousand euros. All I want is a room we can sleep in. Don't tell me those expectations are too high. I was not alone with this problem. I met other people in the lift also complaining their rooms on the fifth floor were boiling hot. I hope they also got moved in the end. On top of this, the TV didn't work, the breakfast selection in the club lounge was oddly small (mixed sweets for breakfast anybody?), and the concierge desk messed up my taxi in the morning.

Another wonderful experience at the Intercontinental Le Grand - possibly one of our, if not the, favorite hotels in the world. From the gorgeous ornate atrium area to the classic surroundings of the Cafe de la Paix and the newly refurbished rooms it was again a pleasure to stay there. Without exception, all the staff were so helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble. We were extremely fortunate through my Ambassador membership (well worth the annual fee) to get a double upgrade to a small suite on 5th floor overlooking the Opera House - so close you could almost touch it. Room was luxurious, quiet and the beds / pillows really comfortable. Spend time with a coffee (or Kir Royals as we did) in the beautiful atrium area and just enjoy the atmosphere and people-watching - lots to see! The buffet breakfast in Cafe de la Paix is excellent, offering plenty of choices including eggs cooked to order. We had dinner there also - the sole meunière was filleted at the table and my wife said was delicious. I had the lobster tagliatelle and was less impressed, lobster beautifully cooked but I think they finished off the pasta with some some fish stock which combined with the tomato dressing was too overpowering and stodgy for my taste. Service always superb and wine choices aplenty. The hotel is a great base for walking - 15 mins to the Louvre or the bottom of the Champs Elysee for example. Can't recommend this hotel enough, you'll not be disappointed.
