Hotel's Favorite
I had to travel to Europe for a very difficult work project during lockdown and decided to treat myself with a weekend in Paris before having to quarantine back in the UK! It's my second time staying at the Crillon this year, and the trip we had in March was made so special that I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. I needed to relax on my own and knew that Serge, our butler extraordinaire from last time, would take good care of me! I arrived absolutely exhausted and was shown to a beautiful room (my new favourite!) and it was wonderful to be greeted as though you're coming home! The next day my boyfriend arranged the most incredible surprise - photos of us in the room, a jacket potato a la Caviar Kaspia, a massage, the works - even a packet of Cheeto's (how did you find these in Paris!). The butler team, led by Adrien and with the help of the concierge and the chef completely blew me away in their ability to do this all on a Saturday in Paris while my boyfriend was in London. I felt completely spoiled and I think whether you're coming for a special occasion or for business you always leave the Crillon feeling like this. Nothing is too much effort. Everything was spectacular, above and beyond - from their drivers to the bar staff. I'm already looking forward to next time. Thank you!

I recently spent 4 nights at the Hotel de Crillon in a Grand Premier Suite. This is the best room category before you get to the named suites. While the suite was very pretty, it was quite tiny. I was in Paris several times during this trip and on other occasions stayed at the Plaza Athenee and The Ritz, all at similar price points. The Crillon accommodations were not on a par with either of these hotels; in both cases the suites were considerably larger. It was the hotel's pettiness in other small things that really got to me. As we all know, the hotel industry's latest rage is to pretend to be ecologically conscious and generally ask the guest to place a card on the bed if a sheet change is not required. We know that this is a flagrant attempt to save money, the environment be damned. At the Crillon, the guest must place the card on the bed in order to have the sheets changed. Who can remember to place a card on the bed when they are racing out to see all that is Paris? Remember, we're talking about a suite in the range of 3,600 Euros per night. Another tiny but annoying matter was turndown service. The night maid would come in and remove all of the dirty towels, but not replace them with new clean ones; that appeared to be the job of the day maids. On a high point, the L'Ecrin restaurant, a small space hidden inside the ground floor, is a gastronomic gem which will succeed despite its pretenses of creating a meal around the wine chosen. I am not partial to wine, but the food was excellent. The Crillon was my late parents' hotel of choice in Paris, and it was mine as well in my younger days. Sadly, Rosewood has spent a lot of money on the place, but the dedication to hospitality appears to have gone. I won't be returning.

My stay at Le Crillion could not have been better. The property is beautiful designed. Every space was unique and inspirational. Much to my husband’s disappointment, the hotel makes me want to redecorate! The spa is a cannot miss. I had a wonderful massage and dip in the magical indoor pool. The restaurants and room service were fast, the food presentation lovely, and of course delicious. I also enjoyed an evening in the bar area, with unique speciality cocktails. I stayed at Le Crillion because the George V was full. I’ve now completely forgotten about the George V. This is where you stay in Paris!

what can i say, the most beautiful hotel in Paris. service is fantastic, a shoutout to the maids. the sweetest crew i have ever met. every time my wife and I were in the hall on our way to the room or leaving, all of them would greet us, ask us if we needed anything etc. amazing! i could go on, but let me just say the place is a palace, and you would be making a mistake if you stayed anywhere else.

This is my third stay at Hotel de Crillon and my first since it because a Rosewood property. I am a experienced and picky traveler and can write you a litany of long read and just say, if you are wondering if you should stay at Le Meurice or de Crillon, it's Le Meurice, if you are wondering if you should stay at La Reserve or du Crillion, it's La Reserve. To mention a few glaring shortfalls: 1. You can't control the temperature in the room. You have to ask them to do it and they never get it right. You are either freezing or waking up in a pool of your own sweat. 2. Their concierge is useless. Has no pull anywhere. We got into everywhere we wanted to, but not once was it with the help of their concierge. This team is so inept, that they couldn't even ship items back to the USA for us and took days to figure hot out. 3. The manager was very apologetic about out 5 nights of poor sleep and comfort and offered us a free drink at the bar... You should have seen my inner eye roll... 4. Also we did not eat our breakfast there after the first day, because life is too short to have mediocre food in Paris... I think you get the point... If you want to spend big dollars, pay an establishment that warrants it, this one simply doesn't.

The hotel was magical as we travelled during Christmas 2021. The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. The rooms were also very clean and spacious. The concierge helped us to book many of our restaurants and booked a private tour for Versailles Palace. Can't wait to visit again!

Happy to resume my travels after a 2 year haitus ( for obvious reasons ) and I decided to book this hotel. Actually I booked this hotel way in advance in 2021 when Delta was still raging on. Crillon is one of the historic “Palace” hotel in Paris and after reading reviews and also watch some youtube videos of the property, I was very eager to try. Arrival My hotel comes with round trip airport transfer and I arranged for them to pick me up from train station instead as I was taking the Eurostar train from London to Paris. A staff from the hotel was available to greet me at the train platform and in no time, I was whisked to a luxurious Mercedes car and on my way to the Crillon. On arrival, I was warmly greeted by name and escort to the reception area for check-in. The check-in area is a dedicated room with guest able to check in sitting down. First impression was already very good. After the check-in formalities, I was introduced to my Butler, Ms Guiliana. She showed me around the hotel and the property’s many facilities before I was escorted to my room. The hotel underwent a full scale renovation several years ago and it shows. Truely live up to it's "Palace" status, the common areas are palatial, high ceiling, gleaming crystal chandeliers and tapestry and artwork everywhere you turn. I was enchanted especially by the beautiful Hiver dinning room where I will be having breakfast everyday. Things were off to a very good start! Guiliana then lead me to my room. The Room I got a Premier Suite at a high floor and it's spacious and luxurious. Entering the room, one feel the homely residential look while same time also posh and luxurious. And as a surprise bonus, it has not one but 5 balconies, one of which is spacious enough to have a relaxing coffee sitting down. I wasn’t expecting this but the hotel has clearly chosen the best suite in this category for me. The full size living area has comfortable sofas, and a humongous LCD Television which I can enjoyed watching my AppleTV contents on. The bedroom features a hidden TV that rises on the press of a remote. The bathroom is also full ensuite with its own outdoor balcony. The suite is full of natural light and the balconies features gorgeous views of the Paris streets including a side view of the Effiel tower. Only minor nitpick is that the ceiling is a bit lower than normal as typical of European historic buildings, lower floor higher ceiling and higher floor low ceiling. The minibar area has a leather clad coffee machine for that extra touch of luxury, very well stocked minibar and even a cocktail setup. Of note also was that the suite is well stocked with many books and reading materials. The Common Areas and Restaurants The hotel feels large and spacious, with many sitting areas full of comfy sofas to relax in. The overall interior design of the hotel is classical with a bit of contemporary touch thrown into it. I particularly love the Bar and the Hiver restaurant with the soaring ceiling height conveying a real sense of space and the luxurious decoration and finishing. The hotel has a large spa but the gym is a bit small. They apparently over-dose on deodourant so I did not used it as often as I did. There are three restaurants in the hotel, the all day dining Hiver restaurant, the L’ bistro which unfortunately was closed during my stay, and the L’Ecrin fine dinning restaurant. I had my daily breakfast at the Hiver restaurant and tried out the L’Ecrin also, which I have reviewed separately. Breakfast was ala carte but basically I ordered what I wanted. I also frequent the hotel’s bar to try out the amazing Les Ambassadors cocktail. If I had stayed long enough, I could have tried everyone of them. They are pricey though but very nice and well mixed. The hotel also have a lovely spa and swimming pool, which I did not try. I did tried out the gym though and it’s kind of small and smelled too strongly of deodorant. One of the very few negatives of the property. Service The hotel provides Butler service and this is no housekeeping or customer service staff doubling as butler like some hotels do but they are dedicated butlers. Even better, every room has butler service regardless of category. The butlers are incredibly responsive to any requests and they can be reachable by a dedicated whatsapp number which is incredibly convenient. So I just type my request in the phone and within minutes ( sometimes seconds ), a butler will turn up at my door with the things I want. Butler service when done well provide focal point to guests service and significantly elevate the experience. And I made many many requests during my stay, including re-arranging some furniture in the suite to my liking and add a small working desk, all done with no fuss and superb efficiency. Now one of the highlight of the service I got was definitely this. I recently has a fondness for hibiscus tea that I brought some with me and left in the pantry and the butlers noticed it when servicing my room. They then proceed to provide 2 complimentary hibiscus tea sachets, made in house by the hotel. Now that’s service! Another case was when I asked the concierge to find me a rather rare Rose champagne and they manage to find it after like calling literally all the wine palours in Paris. Every where I went while in the property, I was always greeted by name without fail, by the staff and this include the bellhop, the concierge, the butlers, the waiters, the Managers and literally everyone. All the staff were eager to please and always asked what more they can do for you. I literally never waited for anything. Also to mention the attire and level of grooming of the staff are also uninformedly excellent. My morning breakfast at the Hiver was something I always looked forward to during my stay. Love the beautiful dinning hall with its exquisite decoration and also the food goes without saying was grea, freshly baked pastries and bread, delicious coffee, fresh juice and eggs cooked to perfection. One particular waiter is very affable and always and greeting me every morning with a big cheerful smile that really brightens my day. It’s really gratifying to see someone that that loves his job. Conclusion Crillon is an amazing hotel and manage to surpass my last favourite hotel in Paris ( the Ritz Paris ) in terms of excellence of service and the overall enjoyment of my stay. The public areas and rooms are beautiful, the staff are wonderful, you are basically cocooned in luxury staying here. It’s the highlight of my 2 weeks vacation and I am delighted to report that this hotel measures up and in most cases exceed my high expectation. It is not easy to impress me but the Crillion did it in spades. I cannot wait to return. Top top marks for this property – 5/5

My partner and I love to travel but by the end of a trip we are always ready to go home to our house/bed. The Crillon was so amazing that we, for once, did not want to leave. We were actually sad to say goodbye to the lovely suite and all the employees that made every moment of our stay special. The staff is genuinely happy to see its guests and attend to their needs. Edi at the restaurant remembered our plans each day, the airport attendants were seemless and our Butler, Claire was alone worth the price of our stay. She was perfection.
