We have now stayed twice at this hotel, same room. Top floor facing the Boulevard. Very quirky but wonderfully atmospheric and great views. Great location and very handy for seeing Paris, particularly the Left Bank. And don't miss dining or at least having a drink at the brasseries next door and opposite the hotel.

A very quick stop over in Paris, allowed us one night in the city. Great location, 5 mins from the metro, attentive and helpful staff, very comfortable, quiet room! We definitely hope to return, for a longer visit next time!

The staff was attentive, the room we had was clean and comfortable but small. Great shower and amenities. The location for tourism and transportation is ideal. If I were to return, I would make sure to ask for a larger room. Do ask for a street view since the rooms are soundproof.

Regretfully a short stay, but overwhelmed by charm, position, helpful accomodating staff Have stayed in bigger, more expensive hotels in Paris, this easily a better choice, small things that count, love their discrete charm and elegance. Staff get a big plus in everything they do. Followed their tips on restaurants nearby, judgement is outstanding Next visit to Paris, this will... More

This hotel is located in the best street on the Left Bank of Paris. The hotel staff are excellent and very helpful. Hotel rooms are spacious by Parisian standards and very nicely decorated. High quality is what you get here.

Gracious and helpful front desk staff. Made us feel at home right away. Cozy sitting and breakfast areas. Wonderful little elevator that went from ground floor up. Amply sized rooms. Good seating. Honor bar. Firm mattress. Good SG location but on a very busy and noisy street. Not a bad value at all.

We loved it. The hotel was clean and charming. The staff was friendly and very helpful. With Brasserie Lipp, Les deux magots, and cafe de Flore within feet, you can't go wrong here. Tiny lifts, but they were cool. Nice bathrooms. Bathrobes and slippers included in the room and mini bar, a big plus. Free wifi as well. Loved it,... More

The rooms were well appointed and had both a new and an old world feel to them. The drapes around the bed and the chairs along with the tile bathroom did them well. The breakfast, though small and continental, was perfectly good and the little dining area in the back was adorable. The hotel is located right across the street... More

The hotel has a great location just across cafe flore and brasserie Lipp. The breakfast was a little disappointment, the rooms are clean but old fashioned. Should need some redecoration and update. The bathrooms has been refurbished and is okay but overall it's not fully 4 stars

Tiny wee quirky hotel just across from Les deux maggots and cafe de flore, 2 famous French cafes. The price you pay is for the area. We walked everywhere from there. 1 day got a pass for the hop on hop off bus which is a must. The rooms are quite small but it's Paris. Big bed and room around... More

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
