The worst costumer service, impolite personnels at the concierge! Irresponsible! Never expect from them to give you good service based on the amount they are charging u especially if u have a kid never do the risk to hire babysitter from this hotel !because they really not taking responsibility of that!
Had wonderful experience at hotel 5 years ago. Dissapointed to find that this time I had a less enjoyable experience: 1) card machine not working upon check in which caused delay and bad feeling at start of stay 2) housekeeping can do better - eg small details such as putting away the hair dryer. 3) Turn down service coming very late at around 9pm.
I’m a huge Fan of MO hotels so when I knew I was going to Paris I had to visit the hotel and take my friend and family for cocktails. I had tried to reserve the Bar 8 garden weeks in advance but was told it was first come, first served. I found this a little stressful as I didn’t want to get people to meet me here only to be told there was no table available. I would have been happy to give a card on booking and agree to a minimum spend which would be charged if I didn’t show up. That’s what other popular bars did. However, what I was most disappointed with was that when I did arrive I was told the garden was closed for maintenance works for 2 weeks. There was no information about this anywhere and in fact their social media was showing stories of the garden that very morning. And continues to do so now. Had I known the garden would be closing I wouldn’t have waited until the final day or I would have made alternative arrangements. The cocktails and food were fantastic but service was below par. Repeatedly we had to stop the staff and ask to order more food or drinks. In fact I can’t recall a single time when a team member approached us to offer something, even when our glasses were empty. We ordered a bottle of water for the table and had to ask for it twice as the first person obviously forgot about it. I felt embarrassed because I had been talking up how amazing Mandarin Oriental service is and how this was going to be the piece de resistance for our final day in Paris. I live in Dubai and we are regulars at MO Jumeirah where the service is faultless every time. The teams in Netsu, Beluga lounge & Tasca greet us by name and know our preferences. It’s like a second home and we love taking guests there. I obviously wasn’t expecting that here, but the reason they know us so well is because of how attentive they are during our visits. Taking the time to get to know us, suggesting what drinks to try next, telling us ‘it’s not on the menu but the chef does this fantastic dish we can arrange for you’. They get us to spend more money but we’re having fun and feel special which is what luxury hospitality is all about. Having looked at the menu, I had estimated around 1,000 to 1.500 euros for my spend in the garden here. But the final bill was only 550 including a 10% gratuity (both of which would have been higher had the service been more attentive).…
We were pleased to have a lovely suite at this continuing example of how Mandarin Oriental (MO) distinguishes itself from the other luxury brands. Our room was lovely and evidenced the brands modern leaning and elegant understated design. But what made our stay truly wonderful is the staff at MO Paris. Laetitia from Guest Experience was on hand to not only welcome us to the hotel but helped us with little things throughout and made us feel welcomed and well cared for. We had asked ahead of time that we have a small freezer in the room to k=hold certain frozen items that we travel with and it was in place and in great working order for our stay. I note this because although a small thing it is, in my view, the ability to meet a guest request with ease that makes the stay lovely. Note also that the Concierge staff, each and every one of them, are of the highest calibre and that this also showed from the moment of arrival by the flowers that were in place in our room exactly as ordered. The F&B at this MO is superlative indeed. Although we ate our first breakfast downstairs we thereafter luxuriated in room service breakfast. Astonishing croissants and orange juice squeezed fresh...OMG I am getting hungry (and fat) just thinking about it. The location of the hotel in the middle of the best part of the Rue St Honore is lovely and we were there for the buzz and spectacle of Fashion Week. Each time we came and left the hotel we were greeted by name and, as always, that is the hallmark of comfort when traveling. Having said all of the good stuff; the sinks in the bathroom are a bad design and do not drain. The wonderful shower is designed in such a way that you cannot put a bathmat down because there is no clearance to open the door. All things pale, however, to the sheer comfort and overall feeling of service and welcome at this lovely property. This was our first trip without kids in 6 years and MO Paris was the perfect place to be.…
We didn’t stay overnight, but I would definitely recommended it if you want to experience the Parisian savour faire! You will find lovely and chic bedrooms, one of the most beautiful hidden “jardin” , amazing outlets and the most important outstanding personal service that will make your stay memorable. This time we just came for a drink at Bar 8 but Natalia and her team make us feel very special !! Very tasty cocktails with fantastic atmosphere! THANK YOU so much Mandarin Oriental Paris we will definitely be back soon.
Best of the best. Much better than that rubbish hole called scribe sofitel opera. Service + check in took less than 5 minutes , used amex so early check in + guaranteed 5pm late check out. Literally the best hotel in Paris I've been to and will definitely return in the near future. Hotel staffs are so meticulous and the service offered makes me feel at home again and again (my 3rd stay in a year when I travel to paris)
We love the outdoor patio but we were disappointed that we couldn't sit at a real table & only could sit at a high top. We only ordered 1 drink & left because of that. It is very expensive but pretty. Staff is my overly friendly . I went years ago and it was much better.
Amazing experience for a family dinner at Camelia. The "dégustation menu" from Thierry Marx is delicious & complex. 5 courses to have a great variety of flavors from all over France. Louis took great care of our table, he was knowledgeable on the product, its origin and also advised us on a great wine pairing. The design & atmosphere of the restaurant, with its lightfull garden in the heart of Paris, are magnificent, almost magical. A memorable experience, we will definitely come back. Merci Louis.
The Mandarin Oriental is a modern hotel. If you are looking for a historic stay in Paris, this is not your choice. However, for everything else, this is the perfect hotel. Firstly, I have to say, the MO experience is a class above. I always go out of the way to be at an MO property. Their service is impeccable, like no other luxury hotel group I have experienced. The moment I booked the hotel, the team was attentive with communication. They helped me arrange a bunch of dinner and lunch plans. As I arrived, my check-in was very easy. I had arrived via an early morning flight, and Julia had made my check-in experience very comfortable, and offered a glass of champagne and water at the lounge, while she arranged my check-in. The location is perfect, on the rue faubourg, which has lots of luxury boutiques. It is quiet enough, but in easily walkable area. The rooms are large, clean and modern. The amenities are Dyptique, one of my favourite brands. The housekeeping service is always perfection, as well as their turndown service. I am visiting Paris again in August, and I want to stay in again.…
