The Hotel Britannique, located in central Paris on Avenue Victoria near the Chatelet Metro station, is a six storey, boutique hotel. It is beautifully decorated in classic style. The quietest rooms face away from the street, but even those facing Avenue Victoria are well sound proofed with double glazing and integrated shutters. Rooms vary in size, but the room I... More

This hotel was everything we needed it to be. Stayed at this hotel with my teenage daughter and we both loved it. The location is perfect, many sites within walking distance, and the metro and bus stations just a few steps away. The ladies and gentlemen at the reception were extremely welcoming and so very helpful. This will definitely be... More

WE stayed at this hotel 28 years ago and decided to try it again on this trip. We were very pleased we did! They have done some modernization in the right places (bathrooms, wifi, etc) but the charm remains and the location on the right bank cannot be beat! Staff was very friendly and welcoming and we even had a... More

Love this charm of a small hotel. We stayed here over 25 years ago and returned recently - quite updated with nice amenities, decent sized rooms, comfortable pillows and beds, updated bathrooms, solid wifi reception, all of this in a fantastic, convenient location. Quiet street due to the one way entrance, plus it is an easy walk to Notre Dame... More

We stayed at this hotel on 7/9-7//10. Front desk staff was pleasant and informative. Room was nicely appointed. The location is VERY close to shopping, Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle, and many other sites. In fact a little too close as the area is more commercial than residential. Some might like that. We were supposed to have a "city view" -... More

Dear Guest, Please accept our sincerest apologies for the disturbance regarding the air conditioner during your stay. The 10th of July being a Sunday, a full inspection of the air conditioning system by an external specialist was not possible until Monday. Furthermore, as the hotel was full during your stay, we were not able to propose you a change of... More

Newly married and ready for an adventure, my husband and I wanted a hotel with an older, quaint, turn-of-the-century feel. We've previously stayed in hotels with a contemporary aesthetic, and wanted to stay somewhere with charm. With Hotel Brittanique we found exactly that. Exhausted and a bit worn from our flight across the Atlantic Ocean, we arrived at Hotel Brittanique... More

My husband I stayed here last weekend while we were in Paris . The hotel is very well located, within walking distance to the metro, and a longer walk to the Louvre and the Musée D'Orsay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was clean, but there was no hand soap which was odd. The shower was small but... More

I had booked this place for my parents and their friends. They had only good things to say about this hotel. Rooms were done up nicely , neat and best was the location. They said they could walk down to Notre Dame and several other places.

Our second time staying at Hotel Britannique was once again a pleasure. The staff is most accommodating and helpful. Our room was small but comfortable-loved the balcony. Great location and very charming decor. Very helpful staff. Hope to visit again.

Staying in Les Halles

Neighborhood Profile
Les Halles
Historically the central iron-clad market of Paris, Les Halles has evolved architecturally since then but the pulsating energy has stayed the same. Now it houses the main shopping mall, which nestles underground surrounded by fast-food take-aways and international restaurants coupled with beautiful churches and the old commodity exchange. Parallel to it are the high-street stores of Rue de Rivoli and just parallel to that the Seine. The area bustles with faces from all continents and all ages at all times of the day. If enjoying high-street shopping with easy access to fast eateries and lively bars is on your agenda, this is the place to go.
