The front of house staff and the courtyard garden were the highlights of our 4 night stay. The room size was reasonable , problems with the lighting and housekeeping were solved and overall the stay was very pleasant.
The hotel was amazing, the staff were super helpful and friendly. The room was gorgeous it was actually quiet enough for a room in Paris. The location was great super easy to get to the underground. The area was lovely.
We just had three nights . Room 202 and it was exactly what we expected . Nice room . Good bathroom . Good breakfast . Good location and finally very nice staff . Nothing was too much trouble and they also spoke good English Good restaurants a few streets away and the Metro about 10 mins slow walk We would definitely go back
We spent 6 nights at room #501 in mid September 2021,the reservation was made through Agoda. Our first impression when entered the (premium) room was that it looked smaller than in published pictures and indeed it was very small. I checked the mandatory floor plan located in every door as evacuation information and our room was among the "biggest" of that floor. I was curious and as frequent travelers, we always carry a handheld luggage weight and a measurement tape that I used to measure all the spaces, the total room size was 16.41 m2 including spaces occupied by walls, the door alley ,the closet, the bathroom and the window(they advertise 18 m2); for example the main area where the bed(180cm X 200cm) is located ,measures 325cm X 300 cm which is just 9.75 m2(approximately 107 square feet). There is barely space for the small tables 1 small couch and to walk around it, my wife had to unpack her whole suitcase and put it inside the closet because it was impossible to keep it outside as we do in every hotel. When she was standing up I had to be at the bed and vice versa. The bathroom has the minimum space for one normal person at the sink or the toilet with a wall in the middle, the shower is bigger but incredibly there is nothing to place the soap or shampoo that needed to be placed at the shower floor so the user has to bend over and stand up back and forth while showering, by the way the rain shower is delicious, strong and hot enough and the there were nice bathroom amenities available .I have to mention that since we mostly used the stairs to be fit, we had the opportunity to see for a moment ,from outside another room when it was cleaned by the housekeeper ,the #306 and it was much smaller than ours with a tiny double bed. My point is that I am very aware of the room sizes in Paris but the pictures made me to expect something bigger, in fact I dismissed other properties because of that. The air conditioner worked perfectly and all in all we had a very good sleep regardless the soundproof works perfect from outside but not too much from the alley. The area carpet below the bed should be cleaned since it is stained. The wifi is strong but it was unavailable in room for almost two days since they were waiting for the technician ,in the meantime they provided a login information at the lobby. The hotel is nicely decorated and is also in very good condition, the lobby area is beautiful, the staff in general is very kind and serviceable although I had a brief conversation with the lady manager, regarding the needed shower fixture and felt that she did not took it very seriously. We never tried the breakfast because of the jet lag and also wanted to keep those calories for other French preferences. Finally, we liked very much the location and give an applause for the use of non-plastic water bottles that are complimentary provided .…
Had just one night here and was charmed by the hotel. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms. Delightful breakfast room with excellent buffet selection. Very courteous staff. And in the middle a small courtyard that would be a delight to sit in during the summer months. I will certainly go here again. Charming, romantic, small... everything you want from a Parisian hotel.
Stayed for a short city break with my partner. Very friendly and helpful welcome. Clean and stylish interior. Small but very pleasant room, we were on fifth floor facing street but traffic noise was not a problem. Good continental breakfast served in the “cellar” restaurant. A little more guidance at breakfast would have been useful e.g. how to use toaster, coffee machine etc? Would definitely recommend and will hopefully return!
Nothing bad to say about this hotel. Sits in a quiet area in the Latin Quarter, minutes walk from Rue Mouffetard with bars and restaurants aplenty. Buses run from across the road, nearest Metro 7-8 minutes walk. We had a warm welcome from the gent on reception and a good recommendation for our first night restaurant choice, thankyou! Rooms on the small side but presume that might be the norm in Paris? Breakfast was very nice, served in the cave in the basement. All in all everything was just as we wanted and would use again next time we visit.
I don't have a bad thing to say about this hotel! I went with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary. The rooms are lovely and the staff are even nicer, we got to the hotel before our check in time so they took all our luggage and put it in their storage so we could go out. The hotel is beautifully done up, like something out of a book - it's all got a very elegant yet quirky style. When we came back to check in, we were given a room on the 6th floor (top floor) which we had no issue with. However when we got in a few minutes later the fire alarm went off, the lifts then stop working so we ran down 6 flights of stairs (we passed a painter and decorator on the way who didn't look bothered so it must have been set off by accident) but it shook us up a little bit. They swapped our room without so much as a question. For one night we were given a ground floor family room which you get to from the garden, they are very lush if you are thinking of booking for more than 2! Sadly, they had guests staying in there the next night so we got a room on the first floor which I had no troubles with. It was on the main road side of the hotel but I never got woken up by any noise so that's nothing to worry about. We got breakfast included which was served from 7:30 to 10:30 I think, they had a nice continental selection, lovely dining area and always someone there to refill the buffet. Croissants, pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit and juice etc, I thought for the price it was very good. One member of staff in particular spoke basically fluent English, she was amazingly helpful. Everyday we'd ask them directions to wherever as the people at the buses and metro are pretty useless. She looked them up and wrote them down for us everyday and we never had an issue with getting anywhere thanks to her! They seemed genuinely caring, one older man warned us of lots of pickpockets near the Sacre Coeur when we told him we were going there and said to be careful in crowds which I thought was very lovely of him. This hotel is situated in a great location - Port Royale is the closest metro stop, you turn out the hotel and walk right to the main road and it's straight from there so you can't get lost! Jardin de Luxembourg is a 5/10 minute walk at most, I definitely recommend giving it a visit, it's really beautiful. Pantheon, Notre Dame and the river aren't too far either, maybe 10/15 minutes away. The hotel is close enough to walk to many things but far enough that the area is very peaceful and we had no trouble which I was a bit wary of being in Paris. Shop virtually opposite and more cafes than you could ever visit, a bus stop at the top of the road and quite a few not so fancy restaurants nearby. On our last day we realised there is a restaurant directly opposite with a Michelin star! It's really hidden so unfortunately we never tried it, most the restaurants nearby were a bit rubbish, we tried a different one every night. but they were all very casual, burger type places and we were hoping for something a little more classy one night. All in all, I cannot fault the hotel in any way and I would definitely stay here again if I had the opportunity!…
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this small, charming hotel, with courteous, warm and helpful staff. The neighborhood is lovely and close to bus and metro and walking distance to some fine restaurants, the Pantheon, and the Seine. We recommend highly!
Loved every minute staying in this hotel. Nice traditional rooms & tasty breakfast. The staff were incredibly helpful and really went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Great public transport links if wanting to explore rest of city, if not, the Latin Quarter and nearby Rue Mouffetard are great to explore! Would highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon !
