Nice hotel in a very convenient location. The room was a little small but tidy and clean, the bathroom comfortable. The included breakfast was delicious and variegate. Only notes: the room was a a little noisy as it was at the first floor; we asked for a double bed but we got twin beds one next to the other.

This is the only place, so far, where we have stayed with a "walking score" of 100. This was our first trip to Paris and we had planned on taking public transit to get around. We didn't as this place was well-placed to allow us to walk everywhere we wanted to see. 5 mins to Notre Dame, 10 mins to...

I stayed here with my children ages 15 and 10 and had a great experience. The hotel is very clean, safe and the staff super helpful. My daughter had a small medical issue and the young lady at the reception called her father, a retired doctor who lives around the corner to check on my daughter while we waited for...

The hotel was lovely. I didn't bother with breakfast, as the American diner, a few doors down was more appealing. The rooms are small, which is typical of Paris, but beautifully decorated. I loved the bathroom sink area. Sheets were changed daily and complimentary toiletaries were provided. The location was perfect and the view from the balcony was pretty. The...

This is our fourth stay at the hotel-- we love the neighborhood, the staff is friendly, and the breakfasts are good. The one down side is the nighttime noisy level-- no fault of the hotel, but the cafe across the street stays very noisy with people crowding outside and drinking.

The staff at the hotel were friendly and informative. The gentleman who checked us in to the hotel spoke excellent English and was able to give us lots of information about what to see and which buses and Metros would make travelling easier. The continental breakfast each morning had lots of choice and our room, although small had a view...

Very nice hotel. A typical small place in the Latin Quarter, about 10 min walk from the Notre Dame. A small but nice room, a small but cosy lobby with a chessboard! Very good service: I arrived at 7:30am (check in time is 2pm) but was allowed into the room which was great/ Of course, students have fun outside well...

My husband and I stayed at The Hotel Quartier Latin from November 12th-November 16th. We visit Paris frequently but fancied staying in a different hotel this time. The hotel is perfectly situated. Metro Line 10 is closest but a short walk to Line 4 is also convenient. The rooms are 1930s style and not over cluttered. It's Paris, so you...

My husband and I only had a short two night stop over in Paris and wished we could have stayed at this lovely boutique-style hotel much longer! We had two little balconies: one out the spacious bathroom and one out the main room, which overlooked the Notre Dame Cathedrale, a ten minute walk away! The lobby had a very welcoming...

We recently stayed at this hotel and I have to give a shout out to Fanny and Lucy for their excellent customer service. There was another young man of Brazilian decent that was there Oct. 2 that was also extremely helpful. Staff at hotels can really add to someone's experience in a city. The hotel was decent and reasonably priced....

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
