Dear Valued Guest, I recognize your time is valuable and appreciate the feedback you have taken the time to provide. We have well understood your disappointments regarding your stay and we feel deeply sorry about the issue you experienced. Obviously, the state of the rooms you describe does not meet our standards of operations. And of course your feedback will be shared with the rest of the teams and concerned managers. Please note that at the moment half of the hotel went under renovations and next year we expect to renovate the second half. My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver. Sincerely,

Hotel's Favorite
Our first post-pandemic visit abroad confirmed that exceptional service and hospitality does, in fact, still exist in the world, at least at the Marriott Champs Elysees hotel. After a series of barely palatable Marriott experiences stateside lately this stay has reaffirmed my brand loyalty and reminded me of what it’s like to stay at a fine hotel. During our five-night stay a portion of the hotel was under renovation but the work was so well organized and segregated that absent a lack of available upgrade suites we never would have known. The hotel’s location in the heart of Paris’ most exciting boulevard was a perfect launching point for all the typical Parisian adventures, and the Concierge was actually informative and helpful in every manner without once trying to sell us on some tour or upgrade where she might have gotten some commission. Front desk staff was consistently pleasant and helpful, greeting each guest with a genuine smile and inquiry as to the day’s activities, and the rooms themselves were immaculate and comfortable — the standard room we booked accommodated a (comfortable) rollaway for our daughter and was actually quite large by European standards. The included breakfast (Elite benefit, but this one I would pay for if I had to) was full of top quality fresh fruits, cured meats, salmon, pastries and juices. Plus it included kitchen-made to order omelettes, crepes, and French toast, as well as unusually good choices of hot eggs, meats, and vegetables on the buffet line. And did I mention coffee to order prepared by attentive and enjoyable wait staff? This is what breakfast at a fine hotel should be. Aside from the outstanding personal service, the nicest thing about this stay was that the hotel exhibited none of the failures of service (daily housekeeping, toiletries, room service, overall maintenance and presentation) that Marriott and others stateside seem to have embedded as pandemic-excused compromises that have undermined the guest experience. This Marriott deserves its name and shines as an example of what the brand should be. Highly recommended.

the location is great but room to renovate, dirty and ultra old carpet. I wonder how they can ask for € 400.00 for such a room. the staff is nice but this does not compensate for the negativity of the room

We arrived early, and were allowed into our room. Very lucky. We had a renovated room, and it was lovely. Big bathroom, comfy bed, great coffee machine. We did not use the honor bar, too expensive. The concierge Zuhair, helped us every day. He drew out our walking routes to the museums we wanted to see, gave restaurant suggestions for each area we would be in, and gave us exact train directions to the Palace of Versaille. The lobby is beautiful, and the bar tender friendly. The doorman was always pleasant, and works hard to hail you a cab. It is very hard to hail a cab on Champs Elysees. Stay here, the location is perfect, you can walk to Eiffel Tower (15 minutes) and the Louve (30 minutes). All the shopping is right there too!

I am a lifetime Marriott Gold member so generally like their hotels My rating reflects the “value,” ie the experience relative to the cost and self assessment Marriott Champs Elysees refers to themselves as a 5 star hotel and charges ~$800 a night The location is obviously fine and the rooms spacious and clean, the lobby beautiful. The defects were as follows; 1 The concierge service was among the worst i have come across One man, Zuhair, spent 20 minutes arranging for me to buy a ticket to the Army Museum for $20 ( plus $5 tip) when in fact the museum was free on Saturday and Sunday He generally was curt as well, providing little advice as to the quality of said museum vs others Leandre would not provide receipt for refund for Museum, forcing me to call front desk manager to do it He also reserved an awful restaurant for dinner, and would not tell me how hard it would be in the morning to grab a taxi or uber (since Sunday is no car day starting 11am) They were unhelpful and rude 2 The gym is ill -equipped The only stair master did not work There is one non Peloton bike and a treadmill, along with a crappy set of weights, and no universal The technician could not fix the stair master 3 It is a bit awkward to navigate the place To go to gym one must go on 1st floor, take bridge over and then go down to basement There are two elevator banks to separate room blocs, with poor demarcation as to which rooms go where Furthermore the elevators are finicky in allowing the room cards to activate floor selection Being on floor 2, i often could not get it to work fast enough, forcing me to go to a higher floor and then come down 4 The bell captains are unethical, mercenary. One would not get a taxi for me so I was forced to hail one After getting into car, the bell man ran out to my driver and said he had called for someone else, trying to kick me out!! The taxi driver said this was untrue and that these bellman do this to get 15% of the fare and/or a large tip from rider So more like a 2-3 star experience

Obviously, the service you described does not meet our standards of operations and the service we strive to give to our guests. Of course your feedback will be share with the rest of the teams and managers. Please note that regarding the taxi situation, our bellmans do not get any percentage from the fare or any tips from the drivers. The taxis our bellsmans call on the street are all external professionals and do not have any links to our hotel. I have taken good note about the difficulty you encountered to go to the health club and we will do the necessary to improve the sings that indicate the way. My hope is the next time you are in the area, you will give us another chance to provide the guest experience we strive to deliver. Kind regards,

From the location, two blocks from the “Ark”, to being cordially greeted on the side walk, we knew we were in for a treat. It’s hard to write a review listing the 20+ staff that went way above the norm to make our stay perfect. If you could hand pic the perfect hospitality team, to staff the perfect hotel, this would be it. Thanks to all!

We arrived on a Saturday morning from Dallas and based on reviews I didn’t expect an early check in. But Fabian made it happen. Fabian is INCREDIBLE. He provides a red carpet welcome and such pleasing arrival experience. Also want to mention the staff at the breakfast area who were terrific. The room was great and nicely sized for those who prefer American standard room sizes with wonderful AC - in August such a necessity. I had booked various hotels before and all of them had terrible AC reviews. So glad we stayed here. The location is very central albeit outside is incredibly crowded with tourists as can be expected. But it’s super easy to get to all that paris has to offer. Also the hotel has great security and that’s a huge plus in champs elysee. I would stay here again as the entire experience was great! One improvement needed - the service at the Concierge- very unfriendly Zuhair. Had to add the name or this wouldn’t be helpful in improvement.

I have rated this hotel 3 stars because it has great location and good service. Other than that, there is nothing good I can write about. My husband is a Bonvoy Platinum Elite member so we have been to our fair share of Bonvoy hotels. This one, given how pricey it was (whether paying cash or points) is extremely outdated and lacks major amenities. The rooms we were given had disgusting old carpets with big stains. The room hasn’t been renovated probably since the 80’s or something by the looks of wear and tear of the furniture and the decor. Our room door lock was broken and wouldn’t close properly without a lot of hassle so we finally had to ask them to change the lock. I’m surprised the housekeeping wouldn’t share this details with the maintenance and we had to. Speaking of housekeeping, it was unpredictable whether they will refresh some things in the room or not - IF they didn’t forget our room. They forgot to clean our room 2 separate days, and we had to remind them. We would leave our There seems to be renovation going on by the sounds of drilling that began at around 8 am or so and lasted the whole day till 5-6pm. I hope they are planning to update the rooms too.

My husband, grandson, and I recently returned from Paris where we stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We reserved a parlor suite to insure privacy for our teenage grandson. Not only was the two room suite ample in size, it also included a 2nd full bathroom. We were more than pleased with the amount of room the suite provided. However, the most exceptional part of our visit was the care provided by the staff. Upon our arrival from the airport, I discovered I had left my carry-on that contained meds, jewelry, etc in the luggage area of CDG. Zuhair, the concierge, immediately began trying to contact the airport. He also filled out a lost baggage claim for us online and and continued to try to reach American Airlines. At this point, his associate, Anjana, volunteered to go to the airport with my husband, on her own time, to look for the missing bag. Her help was invaluable due to the language barrier. After Anajana spoke to several airport employees explaining the situation, my bag was located! In all of our travels we have never received such personal service. And this extended to all the staff members with whom we came in contact. Truly exceptional!
