While the location was good, the apartment was very tired and dated and smelt bad - in fact the smell permeated our suitcases and clothing and lasted our entire trip away. While the bed was comfortable the furniture in the lounge/dining room wasn't.

Be aware when booking this hotel that it is fully self-service - right down to changing your own towels. Location is very near the Eiffel Tower and Metro which can make it noisy in some rooms. Overall I was not impressed - the hotel is tired, it smells a bit, the beds aren't

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for taking the time to detail your experience at Citadines Tour Eiffel and for choosing us for your recent trip to Paris. We are happy to read that you appreciated our location, the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and the friendliness of our staff. On the other hand, we regret that you were not satisfied with the facilities and the décor of our hotel. Please, be assured that we have taken note of your observations for improvements. As for one of our lifts, it is indeed out of order to under go imperative repairs and ensure a better service. We can understand your disappointment but a major maintenance work is necessary to guarantee the safety of our guests. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you again in the near future and show you our improvements. Arianna, Customer Relationship Manager

How exciting for you and your family! This location is amazing. There are numerous restaurants around it. You are surrounded by them at this location. And I don’t mean McDonalds, which is right next door. We never ate fast food while in Paris. You will find many restaurants just a short walk to your right and left as you walk out the front door on Blvd De Grenelle. And up and down Avenue de la Motte Picquet are an amazing assortment of places to dine. We also found lovely restaurants on Rue de la Croix Nivert. Sometimes we just ate out in the location we found ourselves during the day. We used Trp Advisor to check the reviews. On the corner of Avenue de la Motte Picquet and Blvd de Grenelle is a fabulous grocery store, Monprix. The grocery is upstairs and a department store is downstairs. On Avenue de la Motte Picquet there is another small grocer called Franprix. In addition to your usual groceries, they both have lovely pastries. You will find the fruits and vegetables to be so fresh and tasteful. I have missed them everyday since returning to the states. We chose to save money by eating one meal out a day and two in. With the convenience of these grocers we had lovely breakfasts and lunch/dinners in our room. I so miss the delicious yogurts, fruit, croissants, baguettes, salads, cheeses and wines. The Citadines also offers a breakfast, but we never ate there, so I have no knowledge of cost or quality. However, we loved everything about the Citadines Tour Eiffel, so I can’t imagine it would be bad. Coffee is always available in the Lobby. As to travel, use the Metro. It is amazing. The hotel is right across the street from the Metro Station. It is better to buy a carnet(10) of tickets. You will need one for each person per trip. Do not lose your ticket as you will be able to use it on all your connectors as long as you are still under ground. This is the quickest, most convenient and easiest mode of transportation in Central Paris. Read up on the Metro system before you go if you are not familiar with subway/metro systems. The tickets are also good on the bus. I speak some French, but to be honest almost never used it. Unlike, we Americans, the French for the most part are bilingual. However, politeness goes a long way in France. Learn and use Greetings everywhere you go.Bonjour Madam/Monsieur, Au Revoir, Bon Soir, Merci Boucoup, S’il Vous Plait. As them if they speak English. Parlez-vous Anglais, sil’vous plaît? Most of the times you will get a Oui(yes) and then reply with a grateful, Merci(thank you). I don’t know if you are familiar with Euros, but if not, and I wasn’t, one thing I found helpful was to go online and learn to recognize the different Euro bills and coins. You can use Credit cards almost everywhere, but you will need Euros for some smaller pâtisseries and Markets. I ordered 200 Euros from my bank before I left the states. I found that convenient. I know some people use the conversion locations. But I wanted one less thing to concern myself with. If you are planning to do the Museums , I would strongly recommend the Paris Museum Pass. It ends up being less expensive and you save the time standing in the lines. There is another option called the Paris Pass. I have friends who liked that, but our itenerary worked best with the Paris Museum Pass. Another thing we did that really helped us understand the layout of the land was to pre-purchase a tour on The Big Red Bus. We did this the first day we arrived and it really made the rest of our trip easier. I hope this helps you. Enjoy your Parisian Vacation. Wish I was going too!

Is the room fit for wedding anniversary?
No, I would probably advise against this for a wedding anniversary. My aunt had to switch rooms 3 times, the first time the floors were leaking (plumbing underneath the floorboard or something to that effect), the second time the kitchen applicances did not work and the final time all the lights in the bathroom were out. We have tried to ask for help numerous times but specific reception staff have made if very difficult to have a pleasant experience here, which is surprising given the other reviews on here. I think the location is fantastic, but would suggest trying some other hotels nearby to guarantee that you have a relaxed and quality vacation and wedding anniversary

How about trumble train noises? All day? All night?
We never heard any noise from the trains at all. Now our room did not face the street. We faced the courtyard, room 503.

"Quiet room, comfortable, clean and great size."
"如果單單為了風景,請註明要 Room 704。但你得接受那過時的一切。如果有其他酒店選擇,請立刻放棄這間酒店。以一晚 200 € 的價錢,你的確不必屈在這殘舊的小旅舍內,聞著走廊傳來的陣陣人工香草精味道。"
