Situated just a stone's throw from the iconic Eiffel Tower, the Hôtel Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel garners high marks for its exceptional location, nestled amidst a variety of bistros and restaurants. While some guests have called out the hotel for its cleanliness and modern, comfortable atmosphere, opinions about the value and service are split; issues such as unexpected fees and inconsistent service temper the enthusiasm.
The cozy yet compact rooms, along with the commendable amenities including comfortable beds, contribute to a pleasant stay despite the occasional drawback of small spaces and less than ideal air conditioning.

This is a solidly average hotel. The location is terrific for tourist purposes, being a block away from the Eiffel Tower, a 30-minute walk to the Louvre, and about an hour walk along the Seine to Notre Dame. The rooms are a bit dated, but I appreciated the block out curtains and window that opened (especially because I found it very hot and stuffy at night, even though it was winter). The front desk staff seem like they would rather be anywhere else. They won't even consider early check in unless you pay; which I have never experienced before but there were lots of flight attendants staying at the facility and my guess is the hotel makes a fairly good sum from charging the airlines for them to check in early so the rest of us have to suffer too. No one bothers to explain the unusual elevator system, so guests end up figuring it out themselves or telling each other how to do it.
The breakfast buffet is substantial, with a wide selection of breads, cheeses, cereals with yoghurt, pancakes, crepes, and waffles, and some hot foods. At 21,90 Euros it would be an OK value if 1) you're a big breakfast eater, and 2) your exchange rate is near parity.
Obviously, the restaurants on Av de Suffren are aimed at tourists. Better to go away from the Tower, toward the 15th Arrondissement, for local eating establishments.
I stayed during a work trip and some of my colleagues stayed at a place about 15 minutes walk away, paid about 25% less but said they could barely turn around in their rooms, so I suppose by comparison this is OK.

Overall experience at this hotel was good. The location is great if you are wanting to reside close to the Eiffel Tower which is around a 10 minute walk away. Not to mention the amazing view of the tower when you walk outside the hotel.
The rooms were clean and had facilities such as TV, iron, hairdryer, clothing hangers, plug sockets and charging ports next to the bed. The room was slightly small however, does the job for a short trip for 2 people (obviously depends on how many people you are booking for in relation to what room size is allocated).
The hotel bar is reasonably priced with a good variation of food and drink available. The bar staff were very friendly and attentive.
The only small downfall was that when we went to check in, the receptionist advised the room was ready however, due to check in being at 3pm we had to pay €50 to check in early. I voiced that this was not acceptable as the room was already ready which in turn the lady revoked this charge and allowed us into the room early without the charge.
Besides the above the hotel was great and served its purpose for the weekend. I would recommend if you are looking for a basic, fairly priced hotel in a good location.

This motel had a little more space in the room on our trip so far, seperate toilet room and the shower was over a bath which was a nice change so you could have a bath if you liked. Within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower which was great as after we did the trip up it and then wanted to go back into town to watch it “sparkle” at sunset, it was great not having to get on the Metro to go home to your room. A little expensive though.
It’s within walking distance to cafes, the metro, some attractions and the river cruises. Just beware of the hawkers who lie in wait everywhere around the tower and promenade.
The beds and pillows are comfortable and the room clean. Daily service is offered, however the towels are tiny and thin and need to be upgraded.
Again, it lacked proper coffee mugs so I asked for a couple which we received. The cardboard cups on offer should just be taken out, this detracts from the comfort of the stay. No black teabags are offered, I had to ask for a couple on the first day and there were never any put into the room.

Having visited this hotel for St Valentine's weekend, we left sorely disappointed. The service was frankly dreadful and the hotel tired and unloved. The lounge and bar areas looked quite like a university common room, with harsh lighting, a handful of board games and tired paperback books. We arrived late in the evening, circa 11pm, to be told the kitchen was closed, bar was closed and we were invited to use Uber Eats to get food. Nevermind we thought breakfast would turn things around. Well, given breakfast finishes at 10am (Mon-Fri) and 11am (weekend) we didn't get much change to enjoy it. The staff literally clearing away plates from under us at precisely 10am whether we'd finished or not. They have clearing down to a fine art, removing most of the available buffet well in advance to speed up the process for them. Customer care is clearly not a priority for this hotel at all. The ONLY saving grace for this hotel was the wonderful view of the Eiffel Tower from the window. The bedroom was very basic, too small - for a premium room?? It reminded me of being in a caravan where you could move around if you moved furniture around first of all. There is nothing luxury about this hotel at all. I will not be returning nor recommending it at all

We spent a weekend in Paris. The hotel is in a perfect location to the Eiffel tower, you can even see the tip of the tower from the highest levels. It’s also close to the Bir-Hakeim metro station and Seine River. The rooms are small, but this is a standard in Paris. Very comfy bed, small cruise ship like bathroom but perfectly usable. The room had fridge, coffee machine, safe, TV, hairdryer, bathrobes, just what you would expect in this type of hotel. We also had an optional breakfast, which was basic but very tasty. Look for a freshly baked croissant. We recommend this hotel as a perfect gateway to see Paris.

Great location, clean hotel and friendly staff. This is a great base to be able to explore Paris from, right near the Eiffel Tower with great views at night. Staff were really great and express check out was a breeze. We had complimentary items in mino fridge too that were included in the room price.

I don’t usually write reviews but thought I would start.
Me and my partner are 23 so was looking for a little weekend in Paris for valentines.
This hotel had a great location with Eiffel Tower less than 2 min walk, few shops and bars within walking distance.
The room was ok and not badly decorated maybe could do with a freshen up but for the weekend this was ok. I didn’t like the toilet and shower being in seperate rooms as it didn’t give you much space for opening doors as they clashed together. Comfy bed just small rooms and didn’t have great view but did not pay for a tower view
Lovely free drinks in the fridge and topped up daily
We did have to call up for fresh towels as we didn’t have any put in the room Coffee and milk was not restocked - probs forgot
Lots of taxis outside the hotel 2.40 starting cost on most taxi but around 10 mins drive all in was Aprox €9/10
We didn’t find the breakfast all that but we do like our fry up in the morning. They only had mini sausages, bacon and very milky scrabbled eggs- no beans/tomatoes/ mushrooms etc They did have cereal, fruit, yoghurts etc so definitely something there for everyone, we didn’t go hungry.

Large clean and airy reception area with 3 spacious lifts. Once in corridor I thought it resembled a space ship (not that I've ever been in one obviously) - spacey font lol. Rooms were neat but had everything we needed. We specifically picked here because we knew we could get 2 separate beds. Small fridge which seemed to still chill even when the key card wasn't in place. I quite liked having the toilet separate from the shower room, but my mother disagreed. Safe was simple to operate. Appreciated having ample USB ports for charging devices. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety - lots of staff milling about keeping supplies topped up and tables clear.

Great solution for stay in Paris. Under the eiffel tower and very close to the metro and rer station it also offers a convenient luggage storage for the day of check out. We did not use the breakfast service opting for the bistros but in the end we spent more outside

Very nice hotel, all the taxi drivers knew of the location, room had a really good view of the Eiffel Tower. The breakfast had a really great range of options too. Was also really helpful that they had a room to store suitcases on the day of departure

Hello, I traveled in January so the AC was not an an issue, they do have AC in the rooms. They offer Queen Size beds not sure if they offer King Size as well. Unfortunately this hotel is not one I will recommend, it’s not clean, the facilities are not kept clean. We had to use the restroom in the lobby and it wasn’t clean. If you are able to book at another hotel I would recommend you do. Rooms are not big and they are outdated.
