What a beautiful boutique hotel. Beautiful rooms, comfy beds. Kudos to Manuel,Tebo, and Alexandra for their friendly, courteous, and always helpful ways. They went out of their way to locate a rental scooter for me. Would definitely stay here again.
I originally gave this hotel a two-star review because there were several things in my room that needed repair and when I told the front desk, the never-crack-a-smile, unfriendly clerk had an answer for everything and treated me like I had no brains. I even told him these didn’t need to be fixed for me (I didn’t want the maintenance department in my room while I was staying there) but should be repaired for the next guest. Within a day of writing the poor review, however, the hotel responded to my review and stated they would be discussing it at the management level. So, I decided to remove the two-star review. I understand that just as in a person’s private house, things in hotels do need maintenance and repair. I decided encounters with one grumpy employee shouldn’t result in a negative review for the entire establishment. (I’d had an earlier dealings with this same clerk and he was just as unfriendly the first time. I think he needs to be moved to a position where he doesn’t have to deal with guests.) The things I told the clerk about and his responses are below: —The shower alternated between painfully hot and very cold by itself every couple of minutes while I was showering. The front desk clerk told me many rooms have this problem and they couldn’t figure out why. I believed him until gave me his responses to my next two problems. —The hairdryer overheated and went off after 45 seconds every time I used it. It took several minutes to cool down enough to come back on. The clerk told me it was a safety feature. OK, I thought it was by some strange French law governing hotels but I moved to the airport Marriott/Sheraton at Charles de Gaulle Paris airport a day or two later, and that stayed on until my hair was dry. —I always check to make sure my hotel door locks before I leave. It once took five minutes of fiddling with it before it would lock. The clerk told me that by design, all the doors are on a seven-second delay before locking, in case I want to go back in. Then why did it lock immediately the 30 other times I went out? It means the lock wasn’t working properly those 30 times or that one time, so they need to repair it to make it do one or the other. On a good note, the bar tenders were really friendly and fun.…
We always stay at the Atmosphere while in Paris. It’s like going home. You will always feel like you have gone home! Service is awesome…no matter whether checking in or having an incredible breakfast in the morning. Here I am with Marjorie and Talib! Incredible staff!
Near Saint-Jacques Metro and and a lovely Globine park i stayed in a classic great business hotel of Marriott. Comfortable beds, good working table in the room helps to be fresh and well prepared for meetings. The attached conference center can be accessed conveniently through the higher floor walkway, without going down to the lobby or out of the building.
Warm welcoming by helping staffs impressed me. It might not be luxurious as the other Marriott hotels expected or used to be, but the staffs behave excellent. Especia The gala & dinner were well arranged and service was so excellent.
We have stayed here in the past when it had been the PLM Hotel and have fond memories of being high up on the 18th floor and seeing parts of Montparnasse and Saint-Germain-des-Prés. We’ve also attended a well-run conference here but this time we returned to walk in the footsteps of the great Irish writer, Samuel Beckett, whom we had the honour of meeting briefly in the lobby back in 1984. We passed by the apartment block where he shared a seventh-floor flat at 38, Boulevard Saint-Jacques, which he shared with his wife, Suzanne Deschevaux-Dumnesil. We then crossed the road over the railway and a short detour to relive our meeting in Paris Marriott Rive Gauche hotel had a drink in his honour in the alcove where he liked to relax and read the newspaper, pressed very close to his face, as we encountered him.…
Great hotel in a good location ideal for business and personal travel. The hotel being a Marriott offers everything you would expect with that little French touch. Great rooms, clean, large and comfortable. The staff were friendly and hospitable.
Clean, well-designed rooms; tight security requiring room-key for elevator operation above public floors; good breakfast with excellent to-go boxes for early-morning check-outs; helpful lobby staff including business connection (WiFi) assistance; 1/2 block walk to #6 Metro line
The Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel & Conference Center immediately caught my eye. However, traveling with my wife and children, the suite was above our budget, initially too expensive. I am a Bonvoy member and I found later that you could use your AAA membership and got a great rate for a week. I read some TripAdvisor reviews that were a little negative about the property so I reached out to Sonia, a general manager in Paris about my concerns. She not only e-mailed me back but met me early on a Monday morning to greet me upon check-in. Our suite was amazing - 11th floor view of the Paris skyline including Sacre Coeur ! The room had a king-size bed in one room and a queen in the other. The staff, especially the concierges, were amazing. We were able to book , d'Orsay, and, for an amazing price of 68 Euros, tickets to Disney! Normally, Disney is 107 Euros at the park. The Glaciere station is a 3-minute walk away and you are in Central Paris in 15 minutes or less. It is an above ground train which was outside our window but we never heard. My son and I went running at Parc Montsouris just around the corner; there are plenty of Brasseries in the area as well as two grocery stories, a wine seller, and shops in the neighborhood. The hotel has a security team that makes themselves visible. Housekeeping is awesome and were very flexible with our late-sleeping vacation hours and did a great job cleaning our room. Needless to say, we had a great week and we will be coming back soon. …
Money and credit cards stolen from room. Safe locked. Night manager did not even look up while typing "theft" (ha) report..as he didnt care one way or another or it happens so much at this hotel he was nonchalant. We had to seek out day management. She did not give a dam*. She spoke as if we had lied and asked if we were "sure" that we hadnt misplaced most of our travel$$ and credit cards. I am well traveled and would never recommend this hotel. Just trying to save the next guy from theives working with or around hotel.
