The hotel is in a fabulous position with a couple of metro stops, a cab rank, ATMs, restaurants, the opera house and the big department store within a few minutes walk. The metro is just outside and is on a couple of very useful lines (8 + 9). The hotel itself is pretty average. The rooms are dated and the...

Booked hotel for a 3 night stay to watch Wales in the Euros. Room was tiny with no view, was clean but very very worn & dated. Staff were very polite & really helpful. Lots of bars, bistros, restaurants & shops nearby, also Metro station around the corner. Ok for a brief footie stop over but not the place to...

This must be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. First, the lift is so small my husband could barely fit in it and there was certainly no room for 2 people. I chose to use the winding staircase to the 5th floor. Next, the room!! It was basically clean but there was a strange smell which I could...

Small basic room with shower above bath. No air conditioning just a portable fan. Window didn't open so don't stay here when it's hot. Great location for such a cheap hotel...not too far from central Paris and near to a metro station (7 euro for a zone 1-2 day ticket). The hotel cost about the same per person per night...

Stayed in a twin room recently, price was very good for Paris and its location. It's not the Ritz but for someone on a budget it's ideal, wasn't staying in the room often so it was perfect for somewhere to just sleep and shower, rooms aren't huge but do the job, tv, fridge, storage all present with some drinks in...

Given the price payed the Hotel offers very small and old rooms, with almost no comfort. The location is very good, and the staff is nice. The elevator is very small, fit for 1 person only, but since our room was located on the first floor, it was not a problem.

Booked rather late for two rooms here on a weekend (which meant that the roads were a lot clearer than on the weekday and in general, Paris was a little quieter than I would normally consider it). The rooms are just what you need: The bathroom was well appointed with a shower that worked easily and towels provided; room was...

Small 2 star hotel just off Hausmann Boukevard. Touristy area, not great food ,but handy to walk to the fabulous Christmas Windows at Printemps and Galleries Lafayette. Really easy to get to and from CDG airport by Roissy bus . Good value rooms, but can hear neighbours, 24 hour desk, breakfast ordinary. Close to subway and a short walk to passages...

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
