The hotel has an excellent location; within a walking distance from Opera Garnier and Les grands magasins (La Fayaettet and Le Printemps). Breakfast is nice and very simple, only basics are available. Staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a wide array of restaurants all within a walking distance from the hotel.

We stayed at the Hotel Excelsior Opera for 4 days, and loved every moment of it. The rooms are small but very well laid out, and we were lucky enough to have a room with a balcony. The hotel is located in the shopping district, with Gallerias and shops an easy walk away. It's also right around the corner from... More

It is located in a convenient location - Lafayette Department store and Metro station Chaussee d'Antin La Fayette are located at the next block - 2minutes walk away! The Metro is an interchange with two lines. Quite easy to get here from Gare du Nord via the Metro by taking Line 4 and 7. We headed to Charles de Gaulle... More

Good location but the room (431) is the smallest I've ever stayed in. And you will hear the subway all the time though I stayed on 4th floor. Can only imagine the noise on first floor.... Rooms are fresh though and good wifi

On our friends trip to Paris we needed a triple room, not easy to find in Europe. The room was located on the top floor, with a great view of Paris rooftops and Opera House. Really close to Lafayette stores, subway and has a lot of surrounding cafe/bar/restaurants. The room was big enough to accommodate 3 beds, with a renovated... More

was only one night, but I can say is the best location, when we just check in I feel worry, thinking in the noise but we did't hear anything at the night, the Opera and Galerie Lafallet is only a few step away

Awrsome intro to paris. Clean rooms and great location. The front desk staff was top class. I believe his name is Rene. Speaks very well.and more than willing to help you with any questions and a true service with a smile! Breakfast was good. Only minor would be the close proximity to the subway so if you're a light sleep... More

I experienced my first trip to Paris two weeks ago with my daughter and granddaughter. We had a great time and the hotel was lovely and close to all the main attractions. There was a lot of wonderful restaurants, our favourite was an Italian restaurant next to the hotel called Pizza Tivoli. The food was delicious and the staff were... More

The best city hotel I ever stayed. Centrally located, near shops, metro, restaurants, etc. Yet the price is fair. Spacious triple room with three balconies. Very friendly and helpful staffs. Free coffee, tea, water, snack in the room. Clean and comfortable.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
