We were very happy to find Hotel Montholon. It was very good value for money compared to several we have stayed in in Paris. Staff were very friendly and our room, though small (usual for Paris) was clean, comfortable and stylishly designed. Breakfast was very nice, including freshly cooked omelet and freshly squeezed orange juice (you squeeze it yourself!) Conveniently...

Rooms are clear, very comfortable beds and pillows, courteous and helpful staff, good breakfast with freshly squeezed juice. The only problem is the noisy street, rooms 22 and 24 look at the street, 26 is back side and quiet. The location is also very safe! (this is important these days for this area).

We stayed here for a few nights as a birthday treat and was very happy with this hotel, very modern and clean, and our room was very spacious with a bath which is hard to get in this city. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!

First off, Hotel Montholon is located in a great location. Only a 5 minutes walk away from Gare du Nord, while the department stores and the Marais are all within walking distance too. Staff are also pleasant and I thought the breakfast was worth the extra charge. The hotel is newly renovated, so visually in good condition. The room was...

I was very pleased with this Hotel located in the 9th arrondissement of this Magic City. First, the location is excellent, you are in front of the beautiful Montholon Square (typical green garden with benches) and if you ask for, I'm sure you ask for a room with a view if available. The hotel was recently remodeled with a lot...

Good location and nice area with good food around. It's away from the busy and bad of the train station yet it's just walking distance. Nice room and friendly staff. We had a joyful stay there. The hotel is closer to the Cadet station and just 7 mins walk from Gare du Nord.

The hotel is very well-located and the rooms are decorated in an original fashion. The Maroccan-style bathroom was a great surprise. You hardly hear the noise from the street and the view on the park is quite refreshing.

Staying in Opera / Bourse

Neighborhood Profile
Opera / Bourse
The neighborhood around Opéra and Bourse is a belle époque paradise of grand boulevards, refined arcades, and mass-market art-nouveau entertainment. Here, modern day workers continue to take advantage of the legacy that nobility and finance left in the 19th century. Brightly-lit brasseries, theaters, and cinemas sit side by side with French bistros predominating in one area and Japanese restaurants in another. The area is most famous for the Palais Garnier opera house and glamorous department stores.
