The Best Western Hotel Ronceray Opera presents a mixed picture, with travelers expressing a variety of experiences. While its central location is often lauded for convenience, guests have called out inconsistencies in room quality, citing maintenance and noise issues. The hotel's charm and Parisian character are appreciated, though a dated atmosphere and occasional noise disruptions are noted.
Reviews on service and cleanliness reveal a spectrum of opinions, from commendations for friendliness and modern amenities to criticisms for surface-level cleaning and occasional lapses in professionalism. Amenities, especially breakfast, are a point of contention regarding cost and value.

The hotel is located in a busy district within an arcade. Metro and bus are easily accessible. The area is well suited as a location for a city break.
We arrived a little early. The reception was very eager to find an already cleaned room and then allocated us a very large corner room with roof terrace. The terrace was a positive surprise. However, we could hardly use them due to the weather. The table was pretty mossy anyway.
The room was very large and therefore a bit uncomfortable. The equipment was recognizably old in style and also the signs of wear.
The bathroom had apparently been modernized once. The hair dryer was of mediocre strength. If this is important to you, bring your own hairdryer. The faucet was calcified and the bathroom door difficult to close.
On arrival the room was clean. The following days it became apparent that only superficial cleaning is carried out. We didn't have until the 3rd. Day one hand soap available. Coffee and milk were not completely replenished daily. In the morning, the cleaning staff was quite noisy in the hallway.
The air conditioning was not adjustable. She gave off a constant rattle until 10 p.m. No more at night.
The bad light at the desk is not suitable if someone has to work there longer.
It was practical that once you have the room card you can go directly from the ground floor by elevator to your own floor.
Breakfast we have not booked here.
Conclusion: overall we were satisfied with the accommodation, because it is difficult to find affordable but central accommodation in Paris. The hotel is just getting old. If the old furniture doesn't bother you, the hotel can be recommended - partly due to the location - as a mid-range hotel.
Tip: go to Café Le Valentin Jouffrey (a few meters from the hotel in its arcade) for breakfast. There is very good coffee, wonderfully crispy pastries and top service.

We stayed here for a week. The hotel is conveniently located, metro 8 and 9 on the corner, bus stops all around and shopping arcades with “supermarkets” on the doorstep. Breakfast buffet is good, the coffee tastes delicious. The bathroom was newly renovated, air conditioning works quietly, New insulating glazing. We had rooms to the courtyard and slept quietly on good mattresses every night with open windows. But for romantic nights the small old building room is not suitable.

The first night a little noisy because on the boulevard side above a club bar, the 2nd night perfect, nothing heard. The rooms were ready when we arrived at 1 p.m. which was very nice. Small but very clean rooms Breakfast taken just one morning, 14 euros per person, quite a choice, but the canned fruit salad doesn't do it... otherwise everything is perfect The hotel is located perfectly on the main boulevards, lots of restaurants, you feel safe.

The hotel enjoys a privileged location in the heart of Paris, a stone's throw from the Grévin museum, ten minutes from the Opera and the famous Galeries Lafayette as well as Place Vendôme. This establishment, steeped in history, would have a certain charm if it benefited from appropriate maintenance. Unfortunately, several elements tarnish this image: peeling wallpaper, a faulty electrical outlet, and a refrigerator whose incessant flashing disturbed my sleep. The lack of soundproofing was also a negative point, allowing me to clearly hear the neighbors' conversations. Access to the room requires passing through four successive doors, and the corridors lack warmth and welcome.
As for the staff, their friendliness leaves something to be desired. During breakfast, while trays were placed next to the plates, I took one to place my cup, my fruit juice, my bread and my jam. A very unpleasant reaction from a member of the service was sent to me when I was ordered to put the tray down. Finally, the breakfast, although expensive, does not reflect the expected quality or variety

Very good location, spacious room, and a breakfast with great variety by French standards. The downside is a rather worn house and very warm in the room despite autumn. Recommended mainly for the location in the middle of town, walking distance to much and metro outside the door. We went with a travel agent at a reasonable price where the room was included.

The location didn’t work for us. Street is busy with lots of cars and people. Couldn’t find a nice park area to just sit. Hotel breakfast wasn’t worth the 14 euro. Hotel is dated, but the air conditioner was great. One of the front desk staff was just rude. We asked to check in early and she just said come back at 2. We were tired from traveling so after two hours of walking we decided to sit in the waiting area next to the front desk. At this point 12pm the co-worker of the rude employee was able to check us into a room. And was accommodating with switching us to a courtyard side room from the busy street, her rude co worker could learn a lot from her hospitality. One last thing that was odd, we left a couple of coin euros on counter in room from shopping to use for later but cleaning staff helped themselves to that when they were refreshing the room. We usually leave tips for staff after we check out.

Reception staff not very friendly, hotel totally worn out: carpets wrinkled, laminate flooring in rooms old and swollen, paint on edges, doors and railings coming off, wallpaper coming off walls and ceilings in places, formerly beautiful stucco ceilings cracked. Floor in breakfast room dirty because waiter simply wipes crumbs off the table and shakes plastic coasters out on the floor. He must have not had a cleaning cloth. Breakfast service bad-tempered and inattentive. Breakfast very basic, coffee machine with powdered milk. In the museum next door there is a disco until late on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, so sleeping is out of the question. Music is so loud it's as if you were in the next room. The few positives: rooms clean, Eastern European chambermaids very friendly. Metro nearby, good area with nice restaurants.

This is my second time staying here, and this time the service was really terrible. The room I was assigned to at first was like an inorganic storeroom, with holes in the ceiling and tattered mattresses underneath, the lampshade was stained, and the bed was so high that it was scary and I couldn't sleep well. I asked to change rooms because it was a long-term stay, but they said they were fully booked and that the beds were too expensive for Japanese people, and there was no room to speak of. Even though I paid a reasonable price. I was finally able to get a manager? through the reservation site and was able to change rooms. However, outside the window of the room I changed to was construction scaffolding, and there was no water heater or cups, only a paper cup. It was so bad that I got tired of complaining. The staff other than the manager were really terrible and treated me badly. They were angry, suspicious, and glaring. It was so bad that I felt stupid to pay the accommodation fee. It seems like the last time it was good was a lie. I've stayed in many European hotels, ranging from the best to the worst, but this is one of the worst. Just because it's convenient doesn't mean it's cheap, and there are plenty of other decent hotels for that price. Usually, I feel relieved when I return to a hotel after a long day of sightseeing, but this hotel made me feel like I didn't want to go back. This is the first time I've ever felt this way. If you want to truly enjoy your stay in Paris, this is a hotel you should never stay at.

Location was good with metro very close and easy walking to main attractions. Hotel itself was rather tired and room was in need of refurbishing, air conditioning was not available as it had been switched off for winter. The room became very hot in the day and with the window open the street noise was loud. Breakfast average with limited choice and coffee machines which were often out of action. I had expected better from Best Western.

The hotel is located in a truly central position, close to the "grands boulevard" metro 8 and bus stops, always full of people walking or hanging out in the many clubs present there. Despite this, my boyfriend and I never heard any noises at night, luckily we were able to rest peacefully. The staff was really very kind and welcoming, the breakfast is the classic international one that satisfies all tastes (everything was really delicious 😋). I certainly recommend it also for the simplicity of the style of the room, everything was always clean and well arranged when we returned. Excellent for those like us who walk a lot and want to visit the most touristy places: in 20 minutes on foot you can reach the Louvre, in about 30 minutes you can reach Montmartre and the cable car that takes you to the Sacré-Cœur, in general in a short time you can go everywhere and this is in my opinion the strong point of the hotel!

I am not sure about the early check in but you could email the hotel in advance and ask if they can hold your luggage. Most hotels offer this facility. I have done this many times.
