A long tradition of excellence in the art of living awaits you in this grand 19th-century building. An emblem of Parisian life, Le Scribe was originally the home of the very aristocratic Jockey Club. It became a hotel of legend, a stage of modernity on which the cinema was born, a favourite place of artists and celebrities. The Scribe keeps that legacy alive today. In its elegant rooms and suites, its public and reception areas, new generations of personalities are even now adding chapters to the hotel's history.

Beautiful property. Neatness and excelence all around. The rooms impecable and comfortable. Great bed. Nice bathroom. The staff is great helpful and very kind. Conviently located close yo lafayette opera and vendome. Breakfast top quality. Only thing to improve is the restaurant recommendations from concierge that do not match the hotel excellence

I recently stayed here for four nights on a shopping and sightseeing/museum trip. The hotel is in a great location, near to Galleries Lafayette, the beautiful Opera building, and lots of shops and restaurants. There's also a Metro stop a few steps away and two small supermarkets for drinks and snacks. It's within walking distance of the Louvre. The hotel itself is lovely – I was in a 'luxury' room which was more spacious than a standard one and although there was only a courtyard view, I definitely appreciated the extra space. Everything was spotlessly clean. The bed was soooo comfortable, as Sofitel beds usually are. The bathroom was a good size and the toilet was separate, plus you get all the normal things you would expect in a 5 star hotel such as robes and slippers which I know some hotels have removed as an anti-covid measure. There was also a fridge drawer which came in handy for the Apricot Nectar given as a welcome gift!

Staff were all helpful and friendly. I had breakfast in my room a couple of times which was okay – there was no menu in the room so I just went off the menu on the hotel website. I think I got charged incorrectly (unless I had the world's most expensive hot chocolate) but didn't forcefully challenge as everything else had been great.

This hotel is beautiful. The location made it possible to walk to many important sites. Our room was large by hotel standards with a most comfortable bed and extra closet and drawer space. The bathroom included both tub and shower, plenty of counter space at the sink, and a private toilet area. Staff kept the room very clean and always replaced the bottled waters. Our stay included breakfast each day with a large variety of delicious foods, coffee and other beverages. The waitstaff was helpful and friendly, and we were always greeted upon arrival by the most pleasant Maitre D. Last, but so very important, the friendly Concierge in the main lobby was always at our disposal to arrange tours and answer any questions. We especially appreciated the help we received from Clotilde, who spoke both French and English. We would not hesitate to stay there again if we are ever lucky enough to be back in Paris.

My sister and I came to celebrate her birthday and her first trip ever to France. The room was very clean, bright, well-maintained, with a lovely balcony with our twin bed premier room. Our housekeeping lady was amazing and never missed anything during our week-long stay, always made sure we had everything needed and came to service our room with a clockwork schedule and turndown service. The location is very central to everything we planned, my sister wanted to go shopping most of the trip and this hotel is a great easy walking distance to everything and a plethora of brand name stores right next door. The staff are pleasant and the bellman was très gentil, however I only wish they had recognized my sister’s birthday since that was our main focus for the trip. I had written it in the comments and the date when I made the reservation but there was no mention of a happy birthday for her at any time of the visit nor any nice small birthday surprises (not expected really but after our trip have seen others comment that they have). Maybe it is based on your tier status and I am starting out as a regular Accor member but it would’ve been the cherry on top for her to enjoy her birthday in paris

We stayed at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra for 3 nights in March, booked via AMEX hotel collections, which provided us with a $100 credit to use during our stay.

We were delighted with our decision to book this hotel for several reasons:
1. Perfect Location: The hotel's location couldn't have been better. Situated close to the Louvre Museum, shopping districts, and the opera house, we found it incredibly convenient to explore the city's attractions.
2. Peaceful Rooms: Despite its central location, the rooms were remarkably quiet, allowing us to enjoy a restful night's sleep without any disturbances.
3. Comfortable Bedding and Impeccable Cleanliness: The bed is exceptionally comfortable, and the room is spotlessly clean. The hotel staff did a fantastic job with housekeeping and provided thoughtful amenities such as sleep well kits during turn-down service.
4. Exceptional Service: The service at Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opéra was top-notch. A special mention goes to Christopher at the breakfast restaurant, who went above and beyond to assist us. When I mentioned that my daughter wasn't feeling well and preferred to stay in her room for breakfast, Christopher graciously arranged to have her meal delivered to our room free of charge.

However, I have to mention that the hotel's choice of breakfast and dining options is limited, but you can always find many restaurants and cafes within a few minutes' walk from the hotel.

Due to flight change by American Airlines we arrived at the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris Opera after being awake for 36 hours. Needless to say we were exhausted. I asked the desk clerks - 4 of them on duty at 8 am on March 26, 2022. If they could please accommodate our situation by giving us early check-in. Not only did they display a total lack of empathy for our situation but they made no effort on our behalf. They told us check-in was at 3 pm. When I came up to the desk at 2:55 pm they refused to check us in until it was precisely 3pm. I almost laughed out loud. Are we to believe that all the rooms at the Sofitel Le Scribe Paris magically clean themselves at 3 pm simultaneously? By the way, the clerk checked us in way later than 3 pm due to a long line of very unhappy customers. Surely, a hotel this mired in their own rules does not deserve to call themselves 5 star. I am sure one or two rooms were ready before 3 pm. I have never been subjected to such a thing in any other hotel and I have stayed in many. The customer here is having to bend to the hotel’s convenience. We were booked at the Prince de Galles by Viking River Cruises who switched us to the Sofitel 5 days before our cruise. A very poor decision. The one saving grace at this hotel was Irina an excellent concierge. If you do not want to be treated as a valued customer stay at this hotel.

Please rest assured that we strived to provide a superior service experience for every guest; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Very nice hotel with some minor hiccups. This hotel is in a great location in downtown Paris. Very close to Galleries Lafayette and many shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was very good, service is quick. We had a king room on the third floor (may have been a superior room). Room was decent size, did not feel cramped and the air conditioning worked very, very well. Rooms were recently redone so everything still looks new. Bed is comfortable and bedding is high quality. The bathroom is where I have some minor issues. First of all, there were zero hooks or towel bars in the bathroom so there is NO place to hang a towel or robe while using the shower or bath. There is a card by the sink saying if I reused my towels for 5 days, I would save a tree - unfortunately, without any hooks or towel bars, it is hard to reuse a towel for one day let alone 5! Also, as is the trend, shower gel and shampoo and body lotion are in larger containers bolted to the walls. Housekeeping doesnt always check so we ran out of body lotion and the containers are bolted next to the faucets in the bath which made them very awkward to use while bathing. Finally, the bathtub/shower controls are not intuitive and hard to turn on without getting soaked by the rain shower faucet head. However, I would gladly stay here again. Ask for a room facing a courtyard to avoid street noise.

A beautiful, recently renovated luxury hotel in the heart of Paris. The staff was top notch and very helpful with directions, especially early in our visit as we got our bearings. There are 2 metro stations within 500 feet of the front door that will take you anywhere in Paris. Forget Uber or a private car, the only way to move around Paris efficiently is the Metro. Buy a day pass for zones 1&2 for 8.50 Euros and you are all set. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious and when we picked up a bottle of Champagne on our way back one evening, we called ahead and asked for an ice bucket and two Champagne glasses and they were waiting when we arrived. The only notable exceptions were the lighting system in the room that controls every light, but only on or off. If there was a way to set mood lighting we didn’t find it. Finally the toilet paper was fancy and embossed but extremely coarse. All-in-all, a wonderful experience!

This is a five start worthy hotel with a few issues that should be given attention. It might be covid but my suite was somewhat understated. No decoration, nor the announced magazines. Compared with the photographs on the web site not a space to lounge in. Luxury is in the details and perhaps a check is in order to straighten the crooked doorknobs and other faults that have been left after the redecorations.
Breakfast is great if somewhat chaotic. No menu was offered in an atmosphere of ‘you can ask anything you like’. That almost worked as French toast was not possible.
Starting in the nice restaurant, breakfast was then served in the basement, in the kind of space that gives more of a three star feel. Buffet this time and a menu card.

There seems to be some improvisation going on which needs to stay in the back office but shows in the interaction with guests.
Having said this I would not mind coming back at all. I trust that this hotel is focussed on creating an even more perfect experience all the time and treasures the feedback guests give.

Added to that: perfect location, wonderful beds, well decorated, kind people.

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for 4 nights...here are my thoughts.

The good: location is perfect, staff is very nice, we received an upgrade to a beautiful room as we booked through our Amex, and they let us check in early which was amazing after a red eye flight from NYC.

The not-so-good: housekeeping is pretty terrible. We had to call numerous times for them to replace mugs and toilet paper, they left used glasses and room service items after daily cleaning, and after a day or two we sort of just gave up. Additionally the room service food is lacking (I know...but we were too tired to go out), and the room had some noticeable damage that should be attended to (a giant hold in the wall of the bathroom).

Overall this was a great stay thanks to the upgrade. Had we received the duplex we booked at close to $1k a night I'd probably feel differently. Still, I'd definitely return!
