A long tradition of excellence in the art of living awaits you in this grand 19th-century building. An emblem of Parisian life, Le Scribe was originally the home of the very aristocratic Jockey Club. It became a hotel of legend, a stage of modernity on which the cinema was born, a favourite place of artists and celebrities. The Scribe keeps that legacy alive today. In its elegant rooms and suites, its public and reception areas, new generations of personalities are even now adding chapters to the hotel's history.

Very friendly and helpful staff. From the night shift that helped us when we cant find any room in Paris until the bell desk that get our luggage and help us from the tiring night. The hotel is wonderful and clean. The room is cute and pretty. Don’t expect a big room, but still acceptable for a short stay. Thank you for all the friendliness. 🙏🙏🙏

Hotel's Favorite
Being picky and demanding in everything about my upcoming holidays, I made no exception when I was considering to stay in this hotel. I was talking to the reservations office about my room, to the concierge about the plan of my stay in Paris, to the front desk about a billion tiny things. When I stay at the hotel for the first time, I want everything to be checked and confirmed. And everyone at this hotel was friendly and ready to help me with my requests, and they have done everything to make me feel as a precious guest. From the check-in to the check-out, everything was perfectly prepared according to my requests. The staff was amazing. And most important - their beds are just the best in the world. I can't even reckon when I was sleeping so well in my life - it's like you are sleeping on a cloud. It looks likes I found my best hotel in Paris!

Let start with the positives: Our room was on the corner, second floor. Despite facing the road we never heard any noise from outside. The sound proofing is amazing. It had all of the necessities and the bath was a nice size. The breakfast was very nice, although it is in a soulless room in the basement. The location near the Opera was wonderful. The Opera metro has numerous lines. Less than optimal: I'm not sure which room type we had (It was a group package.), but the room was tiny. There was one chair crammed in the corner, which made getting around the bed difficult. The real problem was there was no place to open our luggage! We had to put them on the bed, unpack, and then stack them in the narrow hallway near our bathroom. Fortunately, we did not spend much time in the room. There is so much to see in Paris! Also, the service in the bar area was not great. The first evening we went in for a drink, no one ever came to serve us. There were workers there, but we were ignored and we were a group of eight! We finally just gave up and left. The next time we had to go to the bar and ask for someone to wait on us. The front desk was trying, but the one woman seemed very new. She immediately upon checkin charge our credit card for over $600 dollars as a deposit against "expenses"! The room was pre paid. After a small protest on our part, they changed it to $300. We did not use the concerige.

Magnificent hotel in one of the most desirable locations in the whole city. Quintessential Paris architecture greets you as you arrive, with best in class service from the staff. Assistant Manager Stephanie is a gift who anticipated any need we had throughout our stay, and was so welcoming to our two boys. The rest of the staff - the concierge staff, the front desk team and the bellman, to name some - were excellent at their jobs, attentive and friendly. And the room! Where to start? The suite was beyond gorgeous, with not only every detail considered (absolutely spectacular linens, perfectly appointed bathrooms, beautiful bar area), but also gorgeously designed, painstakingly taking care to respect the building's heritage while expressing an elegant design point of view. You really don't need to look any further - the Scribe is a true gem, and completely heightened our Paris experience.

This was the first time at Scribe and won’t be my last. Generally I book in smaller Botique hotels in the 1st arrondissement but no more. The service at Sofitel Scribe was above and beyond and super helpful. The location outstanding and hotel super classy in its design and lay out. Fab experience for work and play!

An impossibly loud air conditioning engine installed outside our window meant you couldn’t sleep at all. Unfriendly and unhelpful receptionist who hangs up on you when unable to find a solution. Balmain shampoo container was empty. No help with luggage to your room. Long queue for check out on a Sunday morning. Never again.

First time in the Sofitel Scribe since it has been renovated and renamed. This hotel has the big advantage of an excellent location. Some plusses like the very good welcome at the reception and the more modern look , particularly the nicely decorated bedroom and beautiful TV, but unfortunately many downsides - rooms are not sufficiently protected from neighbour noise. Mine had only a door with the adjacent room and I could hear all the conversation coming from there . - rooms overlooking the courtyard are under constant rumbling from machinery. - the bathroom has been renovated to a cost . No partitioning between the shower and the rest of the bathroom with water going everywhere after each shower. Probably this is to not to have to clean the window every day. A towel supporting bar strutting out of the wall next to the toilet bowl forbid any proper seating as we have to seat across. - Bedroom badly lightened with only two lamps. Too much an impression of cost cutting for a luxury hotel.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! This is our second time staying here and we will ALWAYS stay here when visiting Paris. It's centrally located in a great part of the city near many tourist spots and the metro. The staff - everyone from the front desk, the concierge, the bar - everyone is absolutely amazing - very professional, pleasant and very accommodating. The people staying in the room above ours was loud and the staff didn't hesitate to give us another room just so we can get some sleep. The entire hotel was recently remodeled and our room was spacious and well-appointed. You will not regret choosing this hotel for your stay in Paris!
