Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.

Nestled near the heart of Montmartre and the famed Moulin Rouge, the Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacre Coeur receives accolades for its prime location and cleanliness. While the hotel's rooms are often described as spacious and comfortable, some guests have mentioned noise issues and unconventional layouts. The service quality appears to fluctuate, with reports of both attentiveness and unprofessionalism. Despite the blend of modern appeal and some dated aspects, the amenities, including a satisfying breakfast, are generally celebrated. However, opinions on the hotel's value for money are divided among travelers.

A great hotel with a good location. Walk under 10 mins to Sacré cour and moulin rouge. Good bistros within 5 minutes walk. 30 minute walk or easy metro to arc du triomphe or opera. Fantastic breakfast and comfy beds. Easy to get taxi to airport after early breakfast.

I had a poor experience over Christmas. I’ve been staying at the hotel for a few years due to its convenient location but service standards seem to have declined. This reached a nadir when the reception staff argued with me fiercely over the hotel bill at check-out even after I showed them the email confirming I had already paid. I got very upset. They eventually realised they were wrong and the fault was with their IT system. A manager intervened but never apologised. I finally got an emailed apology after contacting and chasing the hotel via head office but no offer of compensation beyond a vague promise of staying in their privilege rooms which are identical to their standard rooms and which I usually get put in anyway. For a regular visitor, I felt poorly treated. The hotel used to be a good value option but prices have gone up a lot and it doesn’t seem such good value any more. The location remains good and I like their breakfasts and the hotel rooms are spacious (and the cleaning staff remain very friendly and good) but after the recent experience I plan to look elsewhere for my summer and Christmas Paris trips in 2024.

"Amazing Stay for a Birthday Celebration!" My recent stay at Mercure montmatre SC Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. It was a celebration for my friend's birthday, and every aspect of our experience was delightful, the card, the amenities... thank you very much. The hotel's location is convenient, offering easy accessibility. The modern yet cozy atmosphere added to the overall charm. We particularly enjoyed the honey shower amenities in the bathroom, which my friend absolutely adored. The reception and restaurant staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our stay, enhancing our experience. However, there was a minor issue regarding cigarette smoke lingering from the terrace area, outside the restaurant, which was a bit disappointing, our room has windows closed but we can smell it and it was not nice. The restaurant's buffet was exceptional, featuring high-quality, fresh options. The attentive and efficient staff made our dining experience memorable. The inclusion of organic products was a definite highlight for us; we thoroughly enjoyed this thoughtful touch. We missed chromecast options but we survived hahaha. Overall, I highly recommend Mercure montmatre SC Hotel for its excellent service, comfortable ambiance, and fantastic dining options. It's a great choice for a memorable stay!

Lovely hotel that is in the beautiful Montmartre district. Metro line 2 serves and it is relatively easy to reach the centre. Lots of restaurants nearby and lovely Boulangeries as you walk up the hill.  The hotel is great, clean and good size rooms. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We got upgraded to a room with a view of Sacre Coeur as it was my daughter's birthday. They also left her a gift and a handwritten note, which was a lovely touch. I think it is worth paying the extra for a view of Sacre Coeur as it looks lovely lit up at night.  Didn't have the breakfast but did use the bar. The barman was friendly and there was a really relaxed atmosphere.  The water station to refill your water bottle is a bonus. Overall, a great stay and would definately return.

We had an amazing weekend stay in this hotel, very clean, excellent service & brilliant location. Would recommend & definitely come back. Lots of bars & restaurant in the area, short walk to the moulin rogue & just over a half hour walk to the Champs-Elysées.

Lovely 4* hotel. Fantastic location, just a couple of minutes to 2 metro stations. 4 mins to the Moulin Rouge and 15 mins to Sacre Coeur. Plenty of lovely traditional Parisian bars and restaurants on the doorstep. To walk to the Eiffel Tower and the main sights at the river takes a one hour stroll. Rooms are clean, large and modern. Bathroom is fantastic, even including Nuxe products so no need to bring toiletries with you. Breakfast was super, large selection, breads and pastries always served hot. So in all a wonderful stay. My only gripe is the hotel called me a taxi to the airport and he was not a registered taxi driver and charged me Euro 70. He locked me in the vehicle until I paid. Taxi cost should have been euro 41. I noticed the driver gave the employee some money at the hotel. This is poor service from an employee of Accor Hotels. Only registered taxis should be used so I suggest you book your own taxi or take the metro which is quick and easy to use.

Fantastic stay at this centrally located hotel which puts you in the heart of Montmarte with easy access to both touristy attractions and local gems. Great service from the entire team too, from reception to the restaurant staff and housekeeping. Breakfast was a delight in particular. I was very impressed with the spread which went beyond the normal continental selection and even had a freshly squeezed juice bar. Rooms are extremely spacious, well appointed and clean. This has become my go-to hotel when I’m in Paris next time.

Hotel was ok, breakfast ok staff ok , everything … ok apart from some air pods stolen from our room on day 2. We didn’t realise until we checked when we had left but the AirPods were located in hotel then in Paris day after. Mysterious extra room card left in our room and someone enetrered our room at 07.30am on last day of our trip - can only have been staff. Emailed the hotel to let them know but haven’t even bothered to respond. Will not be back to this hotel for sure , make sure you put everything in your safe if you do visit .

The most disorganized hotel I've ever stayed in, it was sureal from start to finish. The hotel and bar staff with very little experience means that the stay can be really bad. Add that the electricity in the hotel often fails (it's a problem with the hotel as the surrounding buildings have electricity), there was no electricity for 2 days in the morning and there was almost nothing to eat at breakfast as there was no electricity.

Found some staff very arrogant and unhelpful. My husband locked his passport and ipad in the room safe and when he went to retrieve it at 6pm he found the lock wouldn't open. Reported it to the front desk, the tech staff had gone home and couldn't do anything until the morning. Reported again in the morning, told job request had been lodged, Reported again at 12.30 again told we had to wait, Reported again at 3 30pm at which time they sent a technician. Took less than 2 minutes to fix. Meant we couldn't go out that day as we needed to be here when tech was available and they couldn't give us a time when that would be. Considering we only had 3 days in Paris, that was 1 day lost waiting for a technician to become available to complete a 2 minute job. Not happy.
