The hotels is excellent. Very nice rooms and friendly staff. Comfortable and in a good location as it is in Monmartre, one of the best areas in town. In 5 minutes walking you can be in Moulin Rouge and ten minutes more in the Sacre Coeur church. The area is not so classy however, but that's Monmartre. Very good the...

Arrived for check-in an hour early after a long, exhausting journey and were able to check-in with no fuss. The very pleasant girl on reception upgraded us to a privilege room on the eighth floor. The room was spacious with a large, comfortable bed, tv, small fridge but big enough to hold a bottle of wine, laptop-sized room safe. The...

Stayed 4 nights at the Mercure Paris Montmartre Sacré Coeur. Came in from Amsterdam to the Gare du Nord train station, transferred to the Place de Clichy metro station (just a couple of stops) and a quick walk to the hotel. Kind of an interesting area. Upon check-in, which can be a little bit of a bottleneck, I was assisted...

Received this hotel in a package deal and had never stayed in the Montmartre area of Paris before. We were delighted to find a modern, clean, spacious hotel with all the conveniences in a place very close to several metro stops, excellent restaurants, and interesting places to walk. Very busy area, yet safe. Breakfast was sumptuous with everything and anything...

Hotel was fine. We had hoped to eat in the restaurant one evening and waited to be served for quite a long time. When we were eventually approached for order to be taken, we were told that two of the dishes were unavailable, one of which was the vegetarian option. This apparently because the chef had changed. This left us...

Efficient, modern, clean hotel in the Montmartre area only a couple of blocks from the Moulin Rouge. It's a busy area with lots of activity at night in the bars and restaurants. We took a flight that arrived around 9 a.m., and we wondered if they would allow us to check in early. They did. We were happy to have...

We visited Paris for 3 days at the end of March. We purchased a package deal and were given this hotel, so we didn't choose it, nor would we. It is not in a good location for seeing the major sights in Paris. It is near the Moulin Rouge and not a great location for family. We didn't feel comfortable...

Due to the fact that the Mercure was rated a 4*, the ibis next door only a 3* hotel and the quite good reviews, we decided to book this hotel. The lobby really looks nice. Once you go up to the room floors it's different. The room looked quite used up. The carpet in the room had spots, the bathroom...

The staff was SO friendly and helpful (glad they all spoke English)! The breakfast was amazing! Very clean, and quiet. Would go back again. Very centrally located. Loved that they provide a mini fridge with free refreshments. I just wish they provided washcloths for the bathroom.

This hotel is located near Mulan Rouge and is within walking distance of the train and many tourist sites. The rooms are spacious and have a modern decor. There is a bar/restaurant which is convenient as well.

Staying in Montmartre

Neighborhood Profile
Montmartre
Montmartre is a bustling mix of cultures, colors, and styles which changes from one street to another. Ride the funicular (or, for a real workout, climb the steps) to the sublime Sacré-Coeur (Basilica of the Sacred Heart) with its inspiring view of the city. The church is surrounded by provincial streets and piano bars where tourists, artists, and street entertainers thrive. At the foot of the hill, Boulevard de Clichy features shops not intended for young audiences, while residences are scattered to the north and east. The diverse population includes a large part from the Arab-speaking world, Africa, and Turkey. It’s a corner of Paris full of life and dynamism with charms that can’t be found anywhere else.
