We loved the hotel: staff was warm, friendly and helpful. The location was PERFECT, right in the center of Paris, yet quiet and elegant. Room was perfectly appointed with every amenity one could want in a sophisticated city hotel. Amazing breakfast! When a member of the staff heard it was our anniversary, they sent us a gorgeous celebration cake. Can't wait to return to the Sofitel Paris Le Faubourg
Our hotel room was gorgeous and felt super luxurious - the beds were amazing, the breakfasts were splendid, and the location was fabulous - an easy walk to Angelina's for hot or iced chocolate, or to Laduree for a pastry. And the beautiful Tuileries gardens are right there for a stroll, too. Plus it felt super safe as it's hyper-patrolled due to being right near the US and British embassies. It also had a historic feel being right near the Louvre (which has a very long history and wasn't always a museum!). And it's also right by a Metro stop if you need to go elsewhere in town (but we ubered). If you're traveling with kids, we found our room with a pullout couch to be fantastic. The bed quality was great, it was nice and large, and the staff put the bed back into a sofa during the day and took it down again at night to conserve space. Also, the brasserie downstairs has super tasty chicken nuggets (even I loved them) which was very handy when the kids were hungry at night but the rest of us were still full from the day's other gourmandises. This hotel is pricey but if you can swing it, and especially if you're not often in Paris, I think it's well worth the experience. I've done Paris on a budget during my broke, youthful years and there really is a whole different feel staying in a place like this. We've also found that if you choose a hotel with an amazing breakfast spread you can save money later in the day by only eating one other real meal. The staff we encountered spoke excellent English, but they also humored me in my attempts to use the French I'd been fluent in after my college year in France 22 years ago, but had since mostly lost. I love all things French, including the language, and if ever in France I hate to miss the opportunity to practice so I really appreciated the staff indulging me! Magical location, rooms, beds, breakfast, and staff. We'll never stay anywhere else in Paris!…
My wife and I have just returned from a three night stay in Paris at the Sofitel and we’re very disappointed. The location was excellent but layout of the room was not great, paint chips everywhere and not very good service from the staff. They never refreshed the minibar any day, even after we called the front desk and asked. We ordered a taxi to take us to the airport the day before leaving and it never showed up. For 900 euros a night I can’t see us staying there again.
Second time staying here, location is perfect. Seemingly central to everything, but quiet location with little traffic noise. I loved my room, street side with a little Juliette balcony overlooking the road. Paris rooms tend to be on the small side, so upgrade if you want a bit more space. I love their breakfast too - plenty of choice, with good service. There's a cool little bar too and the Budda Bar is opposite the hotel if you want something more lively. Highly recommended.
The main things I look for in a hotel are a good location, and quiet and comfortable rooms. This Sofitel is excellent. The location is minutes from the main Metro line and Concorde. The rooms on the courtyard are blissfully quiet. AC is great. The staff at the Sofitel is always excellent, and this is no exception.
It was the first time for my family to go to Paris and stay at the beautiful Sofitel hotel. It is a gorgeous hotel in a great location. We had a wonderful time, and the staff were fantastic. They went above and behind their duty to make sure that we were enjoying our stay. We are glad that we celebrated our birthdays at Sofitel with their excellent staff, especially in the breakfast room. Thank you so much for excellent service and we promise to go back to our second home!
I was on a girls trip delayed from 2020. I have stayed at a Sofitel before in New York. This was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish! The facilities were luxurious, and the luxury twin room was decorated beautifully! The beds are a "dream". I wanted to take the time to make some comments with regards to the Staff. Lea was so very helpful as guest relations! Also, Antonoine at the front desk was always cheerful and helpful and truly made a our stay a delight and even coordinated an early breakfast to go. Anthony was also helpful. The person I also appreciated greatly was the concierge Tomas! He was helpful with restaurant suggestions and sightseeing . He was very kind and cheerful, and his knowledge of the city was most helpful. I would definitely stay here again!…
Very centrally located just off La Place de Concorde - as its near the American Embassy armed guards are at the end of the street which didn't cause any issues but might be off putting to some. Rooms were smaller than the photos suggested but bed was huge and comfortable and Balmain toiletries in the bathrooom. We had a junior suite which had a sofa, unfortunately it was a sofa bed which made it quite uncomfortable to sit on as the cushions kept sliding out! We were in room 420 which was the furthest from the lift, our teenagers daughters were in room 421 which sounded like it should be next door to ours but was in fact at the opposite end of the hotel! Staff were a little off hand and cleaners took one of our daughters key cards which was never replaced despite numerous requests. The hotel is nice and centrally located but let down by service - eg we waited 45 mins for suitcases to be delivered and had to chase them in the end. Lifts were intermittent and spoke to other guests who had been trapped in a lift. I was a little disappointed with the hotel - it's fine but I thought could be a lot better.…
The rooms are very small, and the bathroom is tiny. Terrible room size; I doubt it is as they claim in the website. In addition, they never care about Platinum elite for upgrades, although they has better rooms as I checked in the website. It is my worst stay in Paris ever. I will never come back to this property.
Great hotel for business trips with a superb location in the 1st arrondissement. Small hotel with good menu in bar, Fitness Centre on the smaller side but you can still have a good workout. Rooms are comfortable and tastefully designed.
