prepaid a reservation for an executive room for 16 nights as I had been given a tour of the Hotel in September of 2021 and liked the larger room that included a comfortable chair. When I arrived I was given the smallest room and after three days of complaining, I was transferred. Basically, the reservation I made was not honored by the hotel. The room I was transferred to was great except the plumbing needed repairs. I also checked out one day earlier and gave four days notice. There was no offer to refund the last night or the difference for the first three nights. The manager never apologized and suggested that I didn’t need the larger room. I suppose I should be grateful for the lessons of powerlessness after prepayment. I did want to go to another hotel, but was stuck. Oh, and they made it clear to me that my booking was currently below market rates and they wanted to give the room I reserved to higher paying guests. I did not enjoy my stay. With the exception of two people, the reservation manager and the weekend front desk man, the staff was great and tried to help. This hotel needs to pay attention to details and fix the plumbing and wardrobe doors that don’t close properly

The hotel is located in a neighborhood in CHAMPS ELYSEES and when the taxi dropped us, we thought he was mistaken. From the outside, you don’t feel it’s a 4 stars hotel. However, when we entered, we just felt like we stepped back in the times of NAPOLEON, with luxurious vintage interiors. The person at the front desk was heart-welcoming. Reaching the room, I was surprised at how small it was. I have traveled with my sister, and we booked a double room and the room looked too small for two persons. I thought that the staff who attended us was mistaken. We had difficulty walking in the room and placing our luggage. I would rather say that it was a single room and definitely not a double room. You should consider that this is a boutique hotel. I was devastated when I opened the window and I saw that room is facing a wall. You definitely don’t feel that you are in Paris until you go outside. I went to the front desk and requested to change the room; the receptionist was very helpful and tried his best, however; no rooms were left. I just have to accept the room. CLEANLINESS: The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are sophisticated with NUXE brand products. The only this is that pillows aren’t that soft. VENTILATION: the room wasn’t that warm, the first night we stayed, was a bit cold. The wall next to the bed had a window that leaked cold breeze even though it was closed. In the morning, the room was warmer, and later in the night, it was a bit cold, I had to request an extra bed sheet to feel warm. I assume they should work on the ventilation system. BREAKFAST: there is a variety of food and you can do a special request on any plate you want. I like that they offer on the table a wide selection of marmalades. The only thing is that the restaurant is downstairs, and it got no windows. Plus, they should consider changing the wallpaper, it’s outdated and gloomy. LOCATION: excellent location, the CHAMPS ELYSEES main street is just a few steps outside, I couldn’t ask for a better location. I could say that my stay was an average.

Dear Reinafifi, Thank you so much for having chosen our hotel for your Paris visit. We are happy that you liked our location which is exceptional in a calm street just one minute walk from the Champs Elysees. We totally understand that the rooms in Paris are small because of these old buildings but we do have different room types and executive twin rooms are large and even the superior rooms have are good size too. We have taken note of your suggestions as we always try to improve our services. We all wish you a wonderful summer and kind regards Alain Lagarrigue and team

It was mine and my sisters first time in Paris and it took us a while to find a traditional Paris hotel which had the oldskool balcony windows but also offered a luxury rooms. Hotel Francois 1ER really did meet all of our needs, rooms were modern and extremely clean and not to mention was PERFECTLY situated and walking distance from all tourist attractions. Loved how convenient the hotel is situated and also in a nice and quite area too. Will defiantly be recommending the hotel and will be visiting again!!! Thank you to all at HOTEL FRANCOIS

I have been to many hotels in Paris and I can easily say that Francois 1er is one of my best stays so far. For first-time visitors to Paris, it has the best location: it's very close to the metro station Georges V and a few steps away from the famous busy Champs-Elysees. (Yet the hotel street was very calm, good for sleep and rest.) The lobby interiors are very cozy, French chic, as well as the rooms. I especially liked the marble bathroom with a large bathtub. The service is quite attentive and hospitable, where they serve you every day with chocolate treats and water bottles. I guess the owner is Lebanese, which may explain the many Arab clientele that stayed at the hotel. As for the breakfast, it is a little restraint, but it has all that you basically need. The only remark I would have is that the soundproofing is really bad. I could literally know which channel they were watching in the other room. At 1:00 am I even heard the alarm and luggage noises. It may be standard to have the same problem in other Parisian hotels, but here I felt it was paper-thin. But this detail stays minor comparing to all the other positive things about Francois 1er.

Dear Jimmy N, First of all thank you so much for having chosen our hotel for your Paris visit. We are delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and liked the hotel and our staff. The owners of the hotel are French but depending on the vacations and long weekends of different countries we sometimes have lots of clients coming from the same country. We are very sorry for the noise that you heard from the room next to you. These old Parisian buildings are sometimes difficult to soundproof but as we are renovating our rooms at the moment we are adding new things that should help. We all wish you a wonderful Christmas time and hope to welcome you back again soon. Kind regards Alain Lagarrigue

2 min walk from Les Champs-Élysées you find this hotel. It's 4 stars and it deserve them. Good service, clean and good location. Because it's in a side street, you don't have much noise at night. If you want to be central, this is the place to be. No parking, so grab a UBER from the airport (45 EUR)

A charming boutique hotel 656 feet from the Champs Elysees. Small but elegant rooms, a delicious breakfast buffet each morning, and a truly wonderful staff. We especially love Francois ( who really runs the place) and the gentleman in the breakfast room who laughed at my French each day This is Paris!
