Hotel Francois 1er left my family a great impression 11 years ago. This time, when we planned to go to Paris, we decided to stay here again.
The hotel was charming and exquisite, offering romantic vibe and decorations, perfect location, solid and luxury furniture, comfortable room and delicious breakfast, which we really enjoyed. We also loved the perfume smell of the hotel.
Their staff was very friendly and insightful. Mr. Wang gave us good tips to prevent from being handpicked, and took photos of us with the beautiful settings in the hotel. Mr. Chen served us breakfast very professionally and politely and filled my thermal bottle with hot water every day.
Look forward to returning to the lovely place the third time.

It was mine and my sisters first time in Paris and it took us a while to find a traditional Paris hotel which had the oldskool balcony windows but also offered a luxury rooms. Hotel Francois 1ER really did meet all of our needs, rooms were modern and extremely clean and not to mention was PERFECTLY situated and walking distance from all tourist attractions. Loved how convenient the hotel is situated and also in a nice and quite area too. Will defiantly be recommending the hotel and will be visiting again!!! Thank you to all at HOTEL FRANCOIS

At this Pension I feel at home.
The staff is more than available it is already the family. The room is comfortable. The products are of very good quality both in the room and in the restaurant. I never miss breakfast😍 so much it is greedy and varied.
The Inn is conveniently located just behind the Louis Vuitton store on the Champs Elysée.

prepaid a reservation for an executive room for 16 nights as I had been given a tour of the Hotel in September of 2021 and liked the larger room that included a comfortable chair. When I arrived I was given the smallest room and after three days of complaining, I was transferred. Basically, the reservation I made was not honored by the hotel. The room I was transferred to was great except the plumbing needed repairs. I also checked out one day earlier and gave four days notice. There was no offer to refund the last night or the difference for the first three nights. The manager never apologized and suggested that I didn’t need the larger room. I suppose I should be grateful for the lessons of powerlessness after prepayment. I did want to go to another hotel, but was stuck. Oh, and they made it clear to me that my booking was currently below market rates and they wanted to give the room I reserved to higher paying guests. I did not enjoy my stay. With the exception of two people, the reservation manager and the weekend front desk man, the staff was great and tried to help. This hotel needs to pay attention to details and fix the plumbing and wardrobe doors that don’t close properly

I stayed for 5 nights at Francois 1er last month and was deeply disturbed by your staff at the breakfast area. There were 2 Asian workers who greeted me when I went down on the first day (25th march) for breakfast. After serving me coffee, he proceeded to show me the songs he downloaded on his phone and continued to harass me to purchase a free download card for him. He is an employee of the hotel and such action is totally unacceptable and inappropriate. After I ignored him and said I am busy, he walked away but came back again to show me the songs on his phone. I left without finishing my breakfast.
His disturbance caused a lot of discomfort in me and I did not dare to go down for breakfast for next 4 days of my stay there. I did not dare to order breakfast in room as well lest he discovers which room I am in. I did not complain on site the very same day as I worry he might gang up with other staff to make things difficult for me during my stay at the hotel. Besides this incident, the aircon vent of my room 407 was so noisy, rattling the whole night and I could not sleep at all. I’ve a video of that, recording the sound and let the concierge staff listened. He changed my room for 28th and 29th when I rechecked in. There were many times when I left or enter the hotel with my big baggage(s) but no staff assisted in any way. I am very disappointed in hotel Francois 1er at 7 Rue Magellan, Paris, France, 75008. This is No premium hotel at all but most importantly you MUST discipline that Asian staff who harass your in house guests.

I've since received a reply from Stephanie addressing this issue that "For your information since last Monday he went on long-term sick leave."

However, I question which staff and how would Stephanie know which staff mentioned was the problematic one?

To conclude, there was no compensation of any sort offered and no remedy could be provided now. I maintain the impression I have of Hotel Francois 1er and would definitely discourage any traveller(s) from staying here despite its convenient location.

Friendly but reserved staff, asked in the booking for a quiet room, was well located but heard everything from the street and if the neighbors where taking a bath or a shower you could here the running water if it was in your room. Definitely very bad sound isolation. Also heard the neighboring rooms talking. Clean hotel small and cost but overall no 4 star rating in my kind of view.

Exceptional location: in the heart of 8•, in a reserved and quiet area, central for those walking and right next to the metro (George v).
Old hotel, in traditional French style. Everything has been renovated and has an elegant and discreet finish, with great taste.
Discreet team, but always available.
Excellent buffet style breakfast, with a good variety in a pleasant and always calm location.
Excellent room. Reasonable size, fine workmanship, very comfortable and quiet. Impeccably clean, with daily tidying and changes. Mine had a kettle and Nespresso machine available, for free use. Every day they left us chocolates in bed; They didn't provide a bottle of water, as is the case in some hotels in Paris, but in the room there was a minibar with drinks, at adequate prices.
Check in and check out easy and organized.
Very satisfactory stay. Definitely an excellent option for a stay in Paris. I would go back without a doubt.

What a fine discovery, this elegant boutique hotel near the Champs Elysees.
Our executive room for 3 people was already ready for check in at 11am , what a service!
A dream of a room with king size bed, small but beautiful bathroom with large bathtub , balcony and style furniture.
The sophisticated decor throughout the hotel is a delight to the eye.
Very accommodating staff at the reception as well as in the cozy breakfast salon.
Four star luxury, warmly recommended.

Excellent location, that was the only positive thing for us.

It has no heating, we had an electric heater in the center of the room.
It wasn't possible to use my daughter's cot due to how uncomfortable it was, so the three of us slept badly for three nights.
Cleanliness leaves much to be desired, a strange smell persists in the room.
The air extraction didn't work in the bathroom... moreover, despite having run out of soap and shampoo they were not replaced/replenished... meh!!!
And finally, a very noisy room, noise coming from both outside and inside.
We definitely won't be back.

Hello from the Francois 1er, Thank you so much for your question. Unfortunately all the rooms do not have a balcony, it's only a few so if you wish to have one when you book, kindly send us directly your booking by email and we will take care of this. If you use a world wide website like expedia to make your booking, we can not guarantee a balcony for you even if you put that to your comments. Have a great week and should you need any further assistance, please dont hesitate to contact us. Kind regards The reception team

Looking for nearby restaurant recommendations for excellent local cuisine. Merci!

Ahhhh, there is a perfect spot just down the street, "Philippe et Jean-Pierre" ... and it was recommended by the hotel as a locally owned and managed dining spot appropriate for lunch or dinner. We had dinner and one of the two named owners (Philippe et Jean-Pierre) ran the front of the house and the other the kitchen. We found it to be excellent. Look for the TripAdvisor rankings, you'll be pleased. Enjoy.
