Location : The hotel is very well situated, within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysees. There are shops, bars and restaurants all within a 5 mins walk.

Room: We selected the smallest room size and found it to be a perfectly adequate size for our 3 night stay. The bed is very comfortable, it has a nice street view and external noise was not an issue when the window is closed. The room is fairly modern and clean.

Breakfast: Breakfast is served until 10:30am . The selection comprises of fresh pastries, cold meats, a small amount of hot meats, cheese, cereals and eggs. The area is small however so you may have to wait a while depending on when you go down. By 9:20 both mornings the scrambled eggs and hot meats were gone so would recommend going early. Service is also quite disorganised as a previous reviewer mentioned in that you have to seek out glassware and bowls etc.

Reception: both day staff and night staff were always very pleasant and helpful.

Room Service: A low point of the stay was the housekeeping. First morning a lady came to the door and said "service." We said no thank you. She then said "towels?" and again we said no as we did not want new towels. She pushed past me and went into the bathroom and started picking up towels and saying
"ça et ça" and checking the toiletries that we hadn't yet used. We had only arrived the night before and didn't want the room serviced. My husband was in his underwear and she briefly said excuse me but continued on. I find this highly unacceptable.

The second day we ensured to have the do not disturb on the door when in the room.
She opened the door and said service. We said no thanks. She said no service ? We said no. She proceeded to walk in anyway. While we were lying down on the bed she picked up a towel from the chair in the room then went into the bathroom and started emptying the bin etc. If the do not disturb is not enough to stop staff entering your room. I don't know what to recommend.

Overall I would recommend the hotel as the price per night is very competitive, the rooms are nice and the location is excellent. I would recommend room only and get breakfast elsewhere and would also like to see that housekeeping etiquette is improved.

Dear Guest, First of all, Iwould like to thank you for the review you left for your last stay at the DURET Hotel. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your room and the hotel in general. We are disappointed to hear that the breakfast was not a pleasant experience for you and that you were not able to have all the products offered. We are trying to select quality products, most of which are organic but I will insist that my team refill the buffet more frequently to avoid the lack of products. As for my maid's attitude, I am truly sorry. I will have a discussion with her to prevent this situation from happening again. We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Best regards, Melvin YAGUE General manager

I stayed at hotel Duret for more than a week, in two different rooms. Everything was perfect: the rooms are beautiful, with a very Parisian view, high standards for cleaning, you can choose to have your breakfast in the room with no extra charge, there is working space both in the room and at the lobby of the hotel. The location is ideal: smaller street so no noise, everything close-by: metro station, lots of restaurants, shops, pharmacies, supermarkets. The manager, Melvin and the other staff are all very kind and attentive to your needs. I would definitely chose hotel Duret for my next stay, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

My first stay at the Hotel Duret was in 2004 and I returned yearly for about
7 years then went back in 2021. Everything was still as special and top-notched as I recall. The management and staff are always friendly, helpful, and welcoming to all sas they have all seemed to have mastered excellent customer service skills in hospitality. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and now equipped with organic toiletries. The breakfast is fresh, delicious, and exquisitely French and available by room service or in the lobby dining area. My return to the Duret in 2021 was like coming home after having been away for too long. Everything was as I remembered yet exceeded my expectation.

Finally, the property is located in an upscale residential area, in walking distance to the Champs-Elysees and near a main Paris Metro station which makes it accessible to all of the City. Nearby are shops and stores to buy essentials and staples as well as chocolates and other specialty gifts. The Duret staff recommended some restaurants in walking distance where I experienced some of the best food in Paris.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Duret with our two young children. Our room was exactly as pictured but bigger than expected. The rooms and bathroom were clean, tidy and very spacious. The first room had two single beds, TV, a desk, complimentary tea and coffee station, safe and fridge. The second room had the king bed (USB port on either side of bed), TV and another seating area. The windows are floor to ceiling with access to the veranda from all rooms. The veranda overlooked Rue Duret from both sides as well as the side street. It definitely had that Parisian feel we were hoping for. The street was quiet and quaint. Lots of little shops, grocers and a small supermarket which was very handy. There is also an artisan Boulangerie on the corner. The location is very close to Arc de Triomphe and champs élysées. It was also close to the Metro, Argentine station, which was ideal for travelling with the kids. There are lots of little cafes, restaurants and boulangeries around the hotel as well. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had lots of variety. Cold meats, multiple cereals and muesli, yoghurts, cheeses, pastries and fresh bread. The hot breakfast consisted of scrambled or boiled eggs, bacon, chicken and sausages. Plenty of condiments to choose from as well. Having breakfast included was ideal as the kids get up early. If we were on our own, we likely would have ventured out for breakfast instead. Overall, we were very happy with the hotel and would recommend.

The location is amazing. It so close to champs Élysée and many other touristic sites. The metro station is super close and there are many restaurants, bakeries, pharmacies and a supermarket within less than 5 minutes walk. With that said, the hotel is also located in a very quiet and upscale neighborhood. The rooms have everyone you need. The decoration is simple and elegant and the rooms are bright. The beds are confortable. We had a triple room (1 couple and 1 kid) and it was a good size. Overall very clean. Good value. Will come back for sure!!

We have stayed at the Duret numerous times over the past 20 years and never been disappointed. It is located very near Line 1 Metro stop Argentine. It is a great location yet in a quiet area with stores and shops nearby including a great bakery/patisserie!

We loved staying at this boutique hotel. Everyone was very friendly. The room had a beautiful typical Parisian view. The room was clean and confortable. The hotel is centrally located. The street was nice a quiet. Close by to the arc du triumph and Champs Elise. The full breakfast was delicious with a very large array of delicious choices from fresh fruit and juices to delicious French baked good and cheese to fresh cooked eggs. The staff was always wonderful. Thank you for a delightful stay. We will be back!

Great welcome, very friendly service. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms . For a Paris hotel, the room are big, the best ones being on the top floor . The location is great, walking distance to Champs Elysees. Plenty of good restaurants around. They couldn't have been more helpful during this covid time and always recognize and appreciate returning customers.

The hotel is located in close distance of Arc de Triophe and Champs- Elysèes. Receptions are very helpful and polite. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom size was smaller than I expected so, make sure you check the room’s size before you book.

Dear Madam, Further to your request, to get to the hotel from gare saint lazare, you have to take metro line 13 in direction of CHATILLON MONTROUGE and to stop in "Champs-Elysées-Clémenceau" Then you take metro line 1 in direction of LA DEFENSE and you go down at the station "Argentine". The Hotel Duret is 5 minutes walk from the station. Do not hesitate to contact us should you need any further information. Kind regards, Marie-Laure Marie-Laure
