Rooms are ridiculously small and badly lit. It was hard to even see what was in our suitcases. The tech on the so-called “smart tv” is outdated and inefficient. The elevator is so tiny you can barely fit into it with your suitcase. Clearly, “charming and cozy” are euphemisms for small, dark and overpriced relative to the value you get for the money you spend. We’ll not be returning to this particular product in the Bonvoy portfolio.

Hotel's Favorite
We stayed at this hotel 1st of September 2022 We selected this hotel because of the boutique atmosphere and of the location close to the Arc de Triumphe and The Eiffel Tower. What we didn't know is that this location is spectacular as it is walking distance for pretty much all of Paris. The location offers access to an array of activities, including cultural and shopping excursions. The restaurant is limited but satisfactory and the doorman by the name of Mario it was a great asset in directions and suggestions Finally, I was ecstatic to find that we were right next to a laundromat and with me being a laundry freak, combine that with a nice restaurant right across the street as well as mini grocery store there is really no reason to go anywhere but this hotel. The elevator at this boutique hotel is tiny, room for two people and maybe a couple bags, but when the door is open the whole inside is lying to look like a Louis Vuitton classic brown bag I would definitely stay there again

First - I travel a lot. A LOT. This is a boutique hotel as indicated. All the reviews about the staff and location are right. Great great people. Nice quiet location, short walk to the Eiffel Tower. But this is not even a four start property and should not be part of Marriot. Ready? When we arrived, they did not have our reservation listed. I showed it to them and they called the main reservations - it only showed up yesterday. No phone in the room. Asked for help - nada. No room service possible. But - no room service menu - had to go ask for that. Heating system does not work well and it was cold at night. Definitely not a Marriot bed with a topper, a hard mattress and we did not sleep well. No coffee machine in the room, only Nestle's instant coffee. Wifi is intermittent and frustrating. Asked for extra pillows - that took two days. There should be charging ports and extra wall outlets. Here's a Marriot Tribute touch. The curtain in the bathroom was a vinyl shower curtain. Very elegant. Elevator wasn't working at times. Breakfast - best to eat somewhere else. Cappucino was terrible, bacon was burnt. Checkout? They couldn't find our records. I am not a complainer but this hotel is not worth the money and should not be a Marriot property. I will be contacting Marriot corporate. They may very well lose a long time customer over this. But again - staff are wonderful and location is very nice if you can tolerate the rest. But it's just not worth the $$

Le Dokhan Paris is a classic Parisian hotel out of a movie, at least what this American girl romanticized a classic Parisian hotel to look like. After opting for a more touristy hotel closer to the Eiffel Tower earlier in the trip I decided to stay solo at this Marriott brand hotel a little further away from the hustle and bustle, but still an ideal walking location to the Arc de Triomphe and shopping district as long as you do not mind walking 20 to 30 minutes or so each way. Beginning with check in I felt like I was back in time enjoying the dark wood finishing and old world charm. The lobby was small and romantic with a Champagne bar that opened at night. I will say if you have any mobility issues this is not the hotel for you because the upstairs levels can only be reached by a narrow winding staircase or a very very small elevator that really only holds two people comfortably. When I asked to use the bathroom and take my luggage downstairs one of the attendants had to help me carry it up and down due to how narrow the staircase was. My room was not yet ready upon arrival so I enjoyed myself exploring the neighborhoods and cafes. It was truly delightful. Valentino went above and beyond to carry all of my luggage to my room and make sure that I was comfortable. The room was vintage and breathtaking and everything I hoped it would be. Beautiful decorative drapery over the bed and a gorgeous balcony that opened to a narrow roadway but still extremely Parisian and romantic. There was a television and refrigerator and Nespresso coffee maker, wine and snacks! Big bonuses! Now for some of the negatives...there was not an accessible plug in the bathroom to accommodate American hair styling devices even with my plug adapter. The electrical outlet In the bedroom did fit my adapter...however was loose...I made the staff immediately aware of my issues and they apologized. But no solution was made and unfortunately even with my American adapter my phone did not charge overnight and I slept through my alarm and missed my flight after already being stranded in Paris after flight cancelation issues! I woke up the next morning in a frenzy calling the front desk panicked and crying. Valentino came to my room and was so sincere and genuine in helping me. He first offered another day/ night stay for free but upon checking with management the best they could do was half price. I was more than happy to take it after the morning I had! I enjoyed another day in Paris and was helped by the kind staff on local recommendations. The next day when I was set to check out they made sure to give me a wake up call on the room phone. I should note I had a lot of trouble using the room phone to call out and make international calls. My cell phone was not allowing me to place international calls so every time I needed to call I had to call the front desk and they had to place the call and then connect me. This did prove to be frustrating after many hours of phone calls. Nonetheless the staff was wonderful and genuine and they did make me feel like they really cared about my stay. They even had a driver there to pick me up at the scheduled time. Just a side note I checked & the Uber fare was actually half of the cost but the Uber was 20 minutes away and this driver was promptly waiting for me. Even with some of the negative issues it was still a wonderful stay and experience and Valentino went above and beyond to save the day!!

Just FYI the Classic rooms which look great on the website are TINY, like really small too small for two people!! So at least book the twin rooms with 2 beds they get a real size room and full size bathroom. We just got off a cruise and our cabin and bathroom are like a giant suite compared to this room, so just FYI before you book the website pics are very diseaving... so book the larger room. Love the location the classic style of the hotel the very quaint personal staff .... so this is not a negative review just a FYI know before you book review....

We paid 500 euro per night for this hotel as it was peak season….the hotel is super old; and while the location isn’t bad The rooms are small which isn’t the worst part; the toilet is separate from shower and so small that you can’t fit unless your shorter than 5 feet 6 inches… This hotel is worth 150 euro to 200 per night Anymore I wouldn’t pay Overall pretty awful hotel; staff were nice

Lovely boutique hotel in Paris. Quiet area but you will find nice restaurants around the hotel easily. Above all, the staff are all nice, especially Mario. We will stay in this hotel if we go back to Paris.

Stayed 4 nights - very convenient location in walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. As a Titanium member, the hotel offered us continental breakfast, which was good quality and very convenient. Rooms are a little small, especially if you are travelling with large suitcases, but the overall quality of the room was very good. Lots of good restaurants in the walking distance of the hotel, with the guests being more locals than tourists. We tried French, Italian and a sea food brassiere - all were good. Very easy to get a taxi or an Uber from the hotel.

Just returned from the hotel after one night in Paris. This is a very boutique Parisian hotel. The hotel is well located in a upscale neighbourhood with a good selection of bars, restaurants and bistros. The Arc de Triomphe and Eiffel Tower are within walking distance and other sights are easily connected by the metro network. Upon check in, the hotel had the wrong type of room which was frustrating considering I called the day before to check it was correct. The Executive room was the type booked, it’s on the large side for a Paris hotel room. I was a little disappointed with some aspects. Lack of power sockets, no USB points for phone chargers, the TV was old and complicated and faulty, upon asking the front desk, I was told there was no one with technical experience to assist. I was under the impression the hotel was in better condition but it definitely looks and feels a little bit tired. Signs of age in the bedrooms and bathroom. Maybe this is because I’m used to more modern hotels. Some may appreciate the character. No full breakfast was available due to works which meant I had to go out for breakfast, prior notice would have been nice. I tried to discuss with the front desk but after a couple of attempts I gave up as I could tell it wasn’t going anywhere. I’m not sure if I would stay again if I’m honest, I was excited to try out a potentially beautiful hotel but I’m left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed. I think for the big room rate, you could find something better. The check out team were so much better than the check in chap, he was alone and seemed stretched, the team on check out was three times bigger, probably the time of day? Although I checked in at 7pm so not late.
