This hotel and the customer service provided there was fantastic! The front desk staff were so friendly and welcoming. Please note that their staff is also English-speaking and can assist with any matters. We received lovely complimentary gifts upon arrival. Besides the customer service being excellent, the location was two blocks away from the metro that took you everywhere in Paris! It was incredibly easy to navigate through the entire city of Paris while having the metro so close by. A huge plus was that room was so so clean. They come in everyday to clean, disinfect, and change the towels. You could always smell the subtle cleaning detergent when returning from a long day. Most importantly, it was very important for my best friend and I to feel safe in a foreign city and that's exactly what happened. This location is fantastic because we felt like we were Parisians. There were plenty of locals who lived in the area (not too touristy) so it was super safe. I love how there are pharmacies, food markets, and flower shops on the same block-affordable and inexpensive due to not being in the center of tourism-so that was a huge plus. The front desk staff assisted in helping us navigate through Paris with their expertise and maps and it helped us tremendously. We will, without a doubt, be returning to Paris and staying at this hotel.…
My best friend and I recently came back from a week long trip in Paris and we LOVED our stay at this hotel. We arranged our accommodations through a travel agency and we couldn’t be more happier with choosing Grand Hotel Francais. We were welcomed with a celebratory drink and the next day we were given a complimentary wine bottle in our room. The hotel was clean and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the Metro 9 train station within a 2 minute walk, a supermarket across the street, a pharmacy down the block and a post office 2 minutes away. This hotel provides complimentary breakfast, arrangements to hold your luggage when needed and transportation arrangements to the airport at the end of your stay. Will definitely recommend to others and stay again the next time I am back in Paris.…
When we arrived, we were offered a free upgrade and the young man at the front desk spoke English very well. Our room was beautiful and yes, it was not huge but it was perfect for two people. 3 Windows with different views of Paris. We loved opening them for the fresh air and sounds of Paris and when we closed them, it was completely silent. The bed was very comfy. On day 3, we had a lot of laundry which they washed and folded for us at NO charge. Breakfast was great. Fruit, fresh croissants, juice, eggs, delicious coffee and hot chocolate. The manager helped us figure out the train, taxis and shopping venues. It is a great little hotel and our favorite of our entire trip through France and Germany. Lastly, I left a pair of leather boots and they are mailing them back to me. So lovely of them!!!!…
I stayed here for four nights and could not recommend this hotel more. Immaculately clean with comfortable bed (excellent pillows and soft sheets), and the hotel staff were so lovely and accommodating. I felt perfectly safe here as a woman travelling alone. Easy access to the metro and tons of great cafes and brasseries nearby. Would recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay here again!
This is our second stay at the Grand Hotel Frances and I have to say, it feels like home. First the location is amazing, like a little hidden secret it’s in a peaceful street with a grocery nearby and some amazing restaurants! But it also gives a local feel we walked down the road and saw some neighbors playing bocci ball with their Scotty dogs last visit. Not to mention it’s super close to the metro,9 line one block that will get you anywhere in the city. Second the staff are super caring. The little things like offering you a coffee or capachino to letting you borrow an umbrella ☂ on a drizzly day. My wife accidentally locked our keys in the rental car while we were unloading luggage and the staff were right there to help translate and gave her a well needed glass of wine too. Third, the rates are great and comparable to any other hotel if not better. Lastly,if your still ready this you can imagine the torn feelings I have about giving away a loved spot in Paris. I almost want to guard it so it will be there when we return just for us, but that said. If you love something let it go, and sharing this beautiful hotel is something so special. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did, and continue to do.…
This was our 4th stay for my mother and I at this fabulous hotel. The room was superb with the comfiest bed. The staff are all so friendly and the owner Zyad as wonderful as always, he has become a friend in Paris The hotel is spotless and so comfortable, the staff cannot do enough to help, from recommending restaurants and shops to keeping our luggage while we are out exploring. The area is perfect for the metro around Paris and the local bakery’s are wonderful as are the supermarkets and local bars. We cannot wait to return in April, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else.
An absolute pleasure to stay here again. Wonderfull, charming hosts from the manager Zyid to Marie on reception. They could not be more welcoming and accommodating. Great area if you like traditional Parisienne lifestyle. Fantastic restaurants a short walk away. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for making us so welcome
This is my “home away from home” when I am in Paris! Since we first stayed at this hotel in Paris 20 years ago with our teenage children, it has undergone several renovations, but the owner is still the same and the reception as friendly and professional as always. The location is very convenient and only a short walk from the métro stop “Nation” offering connections to all the important sightseeing points. The standard room had everything I needed. I appreciated especially the electric kettle which by no means is “standard” in French hotel rooms. I didn’t have the breakfast since I am never really hungry in the mornings. Instead I bought myself a croissant in the bakery on the same side as the hotel shortly before the “Place de la Nation” which was the VERY best croissant I have ever eaten in France. There are plenty of restaurants and take-aways in the neighborhood. I will definitely stay at this hotel again next time I come to Paris and am already looking forward to my next trip.…
I have come to Paris for an audition. With things being so crazy this year, this trip is a really big deal for me to try and get my career off the ground again. With all the tests, bureaucracy and pressure to do well: I was just wanting to get through it and get back. Now I am at the Grand Hotel Francais, I feel amazing. They are so friendly here, and the room is wonderful. This just turned into a very pleasant trip!! Would recommend!
Very agreable hotel, very clean and the best the good welcome and service offer for the direction and staff. It's a pleasure for me to come to G.H.d.P. each time that I go to Paris. I don't want to write anything more but Tripadviisor oblige me to write 200 characters minimum. Regards.
