We stayed in the Junior Suite of the hotel and we really liked the way the room was done. Apt for a couple, the suite came with a king sized bed, a kitchenette, a sofa bed. Bathroom has a bath tub and a shower unit. Ideally located--walk able distance to the metro and Notre Dame. Simon and his sister were... More

We were in a small hotel we prepaid in another part of town for business however it was a horrible place and unsafe. We took the metro back to Cilla D Estrees where we had stayed previously to try to find a nice safe place. Simon was working and he immediately recommended their sister property across the street where we... More

We loved our apartment and the hotel's restaurant. Amazing cheesecake! The apartment had just been refurbished. Our daughter slept well on the sofabed. My tall American husband and I slept well in the King-sized bed. I asked for a coffee maker and it was in our apartment. Kitchenette is well-stocked. Marvelous and deep bath tub. Marina and Simon, the receptionists,... More

This hotel represents excellent value for its location (within walking distance of many major sites) and room space. Other reviewers have noted the noise from the Irish pub opposite. It did not bother us, but might be a problem on summer nights with the windows open. The breakfast (14 euros) offered is very limited - just coffee/ tea and bread... More

Access to the Metro, the Notre Dame and St Germain is exceptional here! What a gem. Sure - if you are fragile, obese or claustrophobic the lift is small and the stairs are steep. But we are two fit and agile forty somethings, who are familiar with Paris and it's often compact hotel rooms and we LOVE this hotel. Once... More

I come to Paris often and I prefer the Left Bank. For this visit I chose Residence des Arts hotel because I wanted more personal space and privacy. Also RER B direct connection to CDG Airport was nice. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel is very close to Saint-Michel fountain and Seine. It is located on the... More

We selected this hotel due to its location and we were not disappointed. Two blocks from the metro center and centrally located. We had a mini suite and our traveling partners had a standard room. The suite was spacious by European standards. However, we booked the suite so we would have a kitchenette and we were underwhelmed. Just barely adequate;... More

I do not understand why this hotel has gotten such high reviews. My husband and I are experienced travelers and this would be one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. The noise from across the road we didn't think would bother us as we are late going to bed but when we went to bed after midnight and... More

This hotel was a superb location. Close to so many restaurants and sight seeing places. Very close to the Metro and RER as well. We loved the fact that for a Parisienne hotel, it was quite large with a separate bedroom, small living area and also a kitchenette that had basic supplies of dishes. My only warning is that the... Very charming little hotel in district 6. I/2 block to metro, 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. The staff was extremely accommodating. They got us tickets for a concerts, arranged a limo for the airport, and in were always ready with advise. There were numerous first class restaurants within a block or two-important when your tired from sightseeing all day.

Staying in Odeon / Saint-Michel

Neighborhood Profile
Odeon / Saint-Michel
As the bustling center of entertainment for the residents of the Rive Gauche, the activity at Odéon never stops. Boulevards are lined with traditional cafes, restaurants, and boutique cinemas. The streets surrounding the fountain at Saint-Michel provide eateries from around the world. Lively bars are just next door and the prototypical terraced French brasserie is on every corner. The setting for this area is second to none; the Haussmann-style boulevards are contrasted by monumental architecture and overshadowed by the iconic Notre Dame, all within a moment’s walk from the Seine. This neighborhood's world-famous bookshops, cafés, and streets will not fail to impress you.
