This hotel has so much history...When we checked in our tub in our room didn't work properly, so I went down to the front desk to ask for a room change. They not only changed our room, but also upgraded us. Our new room was amazing. The staff at the hotel are so nice. There are two restaurants in the... More

I always wantes to stay at the lutetia, this is one of paris classic luxury hotel. located in the heart of st germain. Sonia Rykiel desingned some of the rooms. when I stayed there it was before the renovation and the rooms were a bit worn down. I love the st germain neighbourhood, very vivid but quiet at night. and... More

Having lived in France for a year, while studying abroad, I visited Paris almost every weekend, on a shoe string and stayed mostly in youth hostels. This time was to introduce my boyfriend (now husband) to Paris. So, we splurged on Hotel Lutetia in the only arrondissement that I stay in, when visiting Paris - St Germaine de Pres. The... More

I am a new reviewer and am reviewing this a bit late- but I stayed here with my elderly mother back in the fall of 2014. The staff could not have been nicer to us. The room was small (which is 'normale' for France) but very comfortable. Staff were very attentive to my mother who has mobility issues. The bar... More

A great location for Paris with all the touisty things to do! I would stay here again and again! The rooms are quite large and it was very nicely done. Staff very polite. Concierge arranged a private car for siteseeing, they were very helpful! And at the end of a busy day to enjoy a night cap at the jazzy... More

This hotel has a fabulous bar on the first floor. The black and white checkered floors along with the decor make someone feel like they stepped back in time. Kind and friendly staff. This hotel is aimed at tourists and the only downside was the brasserie. Very underwhelming and overpriced. I would definitely stay here again.

Probably the best hotel breakfast you will see and taste couple with a lovely atmosphere and an elegance hard to match. The higher up you stay the more interesting the roof top view become, a truly Parisian experience, it feels like you live there

Our room was amazingly large for Paris - both the bathroom and the bedroom. All the amenities are available, and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. The atmosphere has a sophisticated touch, and the concierge was most helpful. It is now undergoing renovations to make it even better.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
