It is an old French hotel, not very cheap, € 760 for 4 nights for a double room. Old fashioned lifts, narrow, dark corridors and very patterned wallpaper in rooms. Staff not over friendly and not very helpful. You don't have to take taxies to the airport, there are buses, Mr. concierge! At breakfast you are hovered over and tables...

I booked a room at the Normady for three nights, even though I was concerned after reading the mixed reviews on this site. The hotel was fine; the room was small (typical cheap Euro-room) but clean and quiet. It isn't a 4 star hotel but the location is great, and at a little over $100 US /night its a good...

We were moved here after being double booked in another hotel for 1 night. We were told it was a 4* hotel of the same standard and when we first entered, the reception area seemed quite impressive. However when we entered a rotting lift, we then found ourselves in dimly lit red bulbed corridors, rather brothel like. The room had...

A friend at work had stayed here and said it had a great location but was a bit tired and shabby looking. When I got there that was pretty much what I got but overall it was not bad at all. The room and bathroom were big and nothing was broken or dirty. It was quiet with no noise from...

I am also one of the silly ones who first booked this hotel and then scoured the net for reviews. Big mistake of course, for most users on here had flagged quite clearly that the Hotel Normandy is no way near its 4-star rating. I was travelling alone and I booked a single room. I got what I paid for...

I read so many reviews of this hotel, and was worried because so many people rated this hotel low. I have absolutely no idea what those people were thinking. this hotel is located in the center of paris, and surrounded by metro stations. We had a triple room, and it was very large for a European hotel. Staff was very...

My partner and I spent a month in France - May 2005. I have to say I think it is heaven on earth. France is so beautiful, rich in culture, fabulous food, warm friendly, helpful people - just superb. Paris... well this for me was as good as it gets, in fact I received a marriage proposal from my now...

Stayed there recently while in Paris on business. How this hotel got a four star rating is beyond me. Its a disgrace. There are far better 4 start hotels in the vicinty that warrant the rating. The Normandy is just a very shabby establishment. I travel a lot all over Europe with business and this is easily one of the...

My wife and I stayed here March 19th - 22nd 2006, booked the hotel before finding this site. After reading the last few reviews I was a bit nervous about staying here. However, I am very pleased to say we both enjoyed our short stay with this hotel. The illuminated name outside is working fully, the very grand entrance, lobby...

WOW, this hotel is nasty, it looks all cute from the outside. I booked through Exped.. and the picts were all appealing , looked like a big bargain. The hotel has a priviledged location, but for the price i rather to pay more and stay in a decent hotel. My experience was terrible. The staff was Ok. the concierge was...
