The room near the elevator is not quiet at all. It is very annoying as I can hear every time the elevator goes up and down. Get rid of it. Generally speaking, the staff are friendly and helpful, except the young woman at the reception the afternoon of 20 September. It is the first time within my travelling experience that... More

Nice girl on reception and charming management. Spotless clean room and bathroom, tremendously good value for Paris. No complaints whatsover. Very tasty breakfast and the location is good also. I wouldnt look anywhere else in Paris as I cant afford the expensive hotels and this provides all that I require. There are a plethora of restaurants in this area catering to... More

I have been meaning to share my experience at this hotel for some time, just getting around to it now. We stayed a total of 7 nights at this hotel in 2014, 4 nights in July and 3 nights in October, this review relates to the October stay. The fundamental problem at this hotel was that the management were not... More

We chose this hotel for the location and we're not disappointed. 300 meters away from the metro and very close to all attraction and more importantly for us, the Montparnasse station. Staff was very nice. We bought the prepaid breakfast package with free wifi which turned out to be a great bargain. Breakfast was good with enough choice. The only... More

Staying in Montparnasse

Neighborhood Profile
Montparnasse
The namesake tower of Montparnasse dominates over the landscape but the fun part is the throbbing life that goes on below it. Bright lights, busy cinemas, brasseries and diners encompass hidden museums and parks to entertain the masses. Long avenues lead away from the tower to take you to unsuspecting places and historical monuments and treasures. In between lie adorable ivy-covered houses with beams and small gardens to match. Just a short metro ride away from the center of Paris this neighborhood has something for every hour of the day.
