    Amazing Hotel
Great Location. Within walking proximity of the Tower Eiffel Gustavo. A Bonaparte residence well maintained in its grandeur. Shangri-La hospitality topnotch a touch above the rest. View of the tower is possible from few locations of the hotel. River siene flows gently below the boulevard. Amazing hotel with amazing service. Concierge helped us with the tours and dining

    Magnificent
On arriving you know that you are walking into perfection. This hotel is a huge spoil, ideally located in walking distance to all of the Paris attractions, on the foot of the Eiffel Tower, a short walk to visit the Champs-Elys’ees. We were greeted with a warm welcome from Alexander who told us about the beautiful heritage of the hotel. We booked a junior sweet and adjoining rooms for our children. Our rooms overlooked the Paris rooftops. The rooms were beautiful with our bed measuring over 2.4 meters. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised to have a cold bottle of French champagne and delicious macaroons on arrival. The concierge service recommended the most beautiful places to eat , Carette for the most insane French onion soup and quiche du jour. Also Cafe du Trocadéro for the best beef bourguignon you will ever have! My daughter had an upcoming birthday, she was treated with possibly the best chocolate cake we have ever tried, a balloon with her name on and a signature Bamboo bear. We dined at the Shang Palace, in the hotel which was incredible, their Michelin star is there for a reason, if you get the chance dine there and have the tasting menu. We found the concierge team to be exceptional, especially on checking out where they went to the ends of the earth to assist us in a mild panic being sent the wrong car for our transfer via our own arrangement.Thank you Toni. All in all we have stayed at many 5 star hotels, this by far super ceded our expectations. We will definitely look out for Shangri-La hotels on our next trips. Thank you for a memorable experience.
Dear LalalaCT, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Shangri-La Hotel, Paris. I am really delighted to read that you enjoyed your stay with us, and that you truly appreciated our dedicated team of professionals, and that you could appreciate the History and heritage of our beautiful Palace, which we are so proud of. I am also very happy to read that Chef Samuel Lee and his passionate team impressed you while you were at Shang Palace, the only Michelin starrated Cantonese restaurant in France. We will be very happy to welcome you again among the Shangri-La Family. Best regards, Guy Bertaud, General Manager

    Simply the Best!
This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Paris and possibly the continent. The Shangri La Paris (“SRL”) had far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have never stayed at a SLR before, but we were very aware of the brand and the 5-star reputation that they hold. They do not disappoint and treat all of their guests like royalty. We came to Paris with our 5-yr old daughter to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband, an avid hobby photographer, researched hotels that had the best views of the Eiffel Tower and found the SRL to be rated high for great views of the Eiffel Tower. We booked a terrace room with views of the Eiffel Tower and were notified by the guest relations team 10 days before our stay regarding our upcoming stay. We filled out their guest questionnaire and I’m so glad that we did. The SRL upgraded us to a 2-level suite with a terrace and breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. The room was grand and gorgeous! They surprised us again when we arrived finding a beautiful bouquet of flowers, chilled Veuve Cliquot, macarons, madeleines, cakes and fruit awaiting for us in the room with a nice personal note from the Concierge Team. They even got my daughter a balloon, a panda stuff animal, her own slippers, coloring book and pencils. There was even a child robe next to the bath tub and taking a bath was probably her favorite activity during our stay there. They knew how to make every one of us feel special! All their staff we encountered at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. It is there people who make this stay so memorable. The Concierge Team arranged for our pick up at Grand du Lyon and they even had a child seat installed in the car for us. The Concierge Team were also able to book a last minute photoshoot the night before our actual shoot in our room terrace and around the Eiffel Tower. They tried to make restaurant reservations for the places we wanted to try, but unfortunately these places were first come, first serve only. We appreciated the effort. Their American and Chinese breakfasts were delicious, amazing and filling. We did not need to eat all day until dinner time. It came with a basket of various pastries along with your choice of eggs and breakfast meat, congee, dim sum, coffee, juice and toast. We booked a rate that included breakfast in our room and it awesome to have breakfast in our terrace. But be forewarned in the summer, it’s wasp season and they were going after our breakfast, but not us, thankfully. We moved to having breakfast inside our room for the rest of the stay, which was just as lovely. It was extremely hard to leave the Shangri La Paris. We had a lovely stay that we will fondly remember forever. We look forward to staying at this property again when we visit Paris. Thank you for leaving us quite the impression. My daughter no longer wants to live in Hawaii or Disney World thanks to the Shangri La Paris and my husband and I are ok with it.
Dear Valertin, Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience at Shangri-La, Paris! We are delighted to read that you had a wonderful family stay with us especially thanks to the professionalism of our team and that you appreciated the beautiful view as well as the setting up of your room. We really hope to welcome you back soon in your Parisian Residence. Best Regards, General Management

Spectacular hotel! Impeccable staff and service. There isn’t anything they won’t do to make you more comfortable if you ask. We have been spoiled for future hotels—nothing will ever compare to the Shangri-La Paris.

This is hands down the best property I have ever stayed in. Eiffel Tower views from your room and within a quick 10 min walk. The concierge will go above and beyond. That’s what got my fingers moving to write a review. I never leave reviews. Good or bad. Anyway, I left the property 2 days ago and was having trouble finding a train from Dunkerque to Amsterdam. I decided I would give the Shangri- La a call, even though I already checked out, to see if they could help. I called and explained my situation… can’t find a ticket, not even a guest there anymore, can you please help?? Sure enough they were happy to oblige. After a 5 min wait on hold, the concierge gets back on the phone with multiple options and offers to email me whichever ticket I pick. I couldn’t recommend the Shangri-La Paris enough. Thanks again and hope to be back to party with you soon!

I flew my mom to Paris for her birthday & to take her to Lourdes for the 15th of August. We stayed at this palace for 4 nights & our stay was truly magical! I booked the Guerlain Experience which was utterly fabulous since Francoise was a fountain of knowledge. We absolutely loved our time at the flagship store on the Champs-Elysees with Francoise on my mom’s birthday. I just wish I booked a longer stay. Words cannot express my gratitude to the staff for making this trip such a memorable one

I have yet to stay in the hotel as I am coming here on my honeymoon. Having said that, the concierge here has been so helpful and informative in planning my itineraries for dining while spending 4 nights in Paris. I can’t wait to stay here and thank you again to the wonderful concierge staff. I will update once our stay is over but I’m sure it will be nothing less than 5 stars

We had an afternoon tea at the shangri-la in Paris. There was a bit of confusion about our booking but thankfully they managed to correct the situation very quickly. All of the staff were so lovely and really made our experience one of a kind. The afternoon tea was delicious and perfectly French. The tea and champagne were also lovely and the staff made some extra special ways to make our birthdays super special. Merci beacoup to all the staff there for our wonderful experience

My husband booked a 2 night stay as a surprise wedding anniversary gift. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and then the female staff member ran through our booking, advising we had booked a standard room (this was in fact incorrect as my husband had booked a superior room) with NO VIEW OF THE EIFFEL TOWER, but there were actually rooms available with views of the Eiffel Tower and would we like her to show us these rooms? We asked what the charge would be to upgrade and were told €1,600 per night, so we declined. We were told that our room wasn’t quite ready but that we could wait in the lounge and perhaps have a coffee and they would tell us when our room was ready so we did. Whilst in the lounge my husband checked his reservation confirmation and went back to reception to check the booking was for a superior room, which the staff member confirmed, she then said that she had spoken to her manager and he had authorised her to offer him the Eiffel Tower view room at a (slightly) discounted rate, and since ‘your wife isn’t here now - it would be a nice surprise for her?’ Again my husband declined. Neither of us appreciated the hard-sell or the condescending attitude towards our choice of room and it wasn’t a good first impression. Our room was lovely, although the small sitting area had a window which was dressed with curtains that did not actually close and therefore daylight streamed into the room very early each day disrupting our sleep. The hotel itself is beautiful, but feels a little cold and unfriendly, when we visited the bar one evening several people peered into the bar and turned away, and we saw others leave the bar without ordering (presumably due to the €30 per cocktail charges). Breakfasts were good, although the staff did seem obsessed with pointing out what was included with your stay and what was not, we observed a lady order eggs from the menu only to be told that wasn’t included, so she chose something else. Bizarre when everyone was paying so much money to stay at this hotel that you couldn’t have what you want for breakfast! I have stayed in many luxury hotels around the world and feel that the Shangri-La sadly misses the mark by a long way. The staff seem entirely focussed on money, rather than on customer service, perhaps the hotel is struggling? There certainly didn’t seem to be many other guests whilst we were there. Would I go back - honestly, no. I think there are probably far nicer hotels in Paris.

We cannot help ourselves returning to this property over and over, every single time we come to Paris. It is perfect in every imaginable way. A stunningly beautiful mansion, staffed with the very finest and most sophisticated individuals who make it seem like it is the very purpose of their existence to make sure you are happy. The concierges are beyond compare. Responsive, attuned to nuance, they are largely responsible for ensuring you get into the restaurants you desire, have the best quality people take you on private tours, or whatever it is you need. The food is out of this world, no matter which of the fine hotel restaurants you patronize, and the bar is, again, just terrific in every way. There is no fault; it is perfection. Go, enjoy, and rest assured you will be exceedingly well taken care of.

There was one small blemish which was the service on the terrace, however… this was totally forgotten after the fantastic service we received Jean-Baptiste and his team. My partner was rushed to hospital on the final day of our trip and the service we received was absolutely incredible. They went above and beyond on every level. I have stayed at the best hotels in the world and I have not experienced service to this level. I was even provided a meal to take to my partner in hospital. Our 6 year old lost his teddy bear which ended up in laundry and the house keeping manager searched high and low and found it. They made an extremely difficult day a lot better. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I got married last month at the Shangri La Paris. We had an absolute amazing experience and could not recommend this hotel enough. We stayed there for a total of 5 nights and had our ceremony and reception at the hotel. The staff were absolutely amazing and Amel, their planner who helped organise our wedding, was amazing. I could not recommend this hotel enough for an event, or to stay there... or even both!! Thank you
