My wife and I stayed here in room 65 (a "Junior Suite Paris View") for four nights in January 2024.

Rating: 9/10

Positives:
• The Shangri-La Paris is housed in Napoleon's nephew's palace and is a beautifully appointed hotel, steeped in history and charm
• Our suite was immaculate, spacious, and comfortable with a separate sitting room. Peering from our windows at an angle, we were able to marvel at the Eiffel Tower.
• As to be expected from this brand, the service was impeccable. We tested the concierge on a few occasions, who each time passed with flying colors on our various random asks. The hotel was able to set up a VIP service at CDG that included a greeter meeting us at our plane and escorting us through fast track customs before accompanying us all the way to a waiting driver.
• Although I was slightly skeptical about the neighborhood when booking, I ended up finding the hotel perfectly located for our visit, just a short stroll from the Eiffel Tower and Champ du Mars, a 15 minute walk from the Champs Elysées, and a stone's throw from the Iéna metro station. Best of all, as a runner, it was a mere 2-minute warm-up jog to arrive at a popular running route along the Seine.
• I took the rare opportunity to say "yes, we are indeed celebrating something special – our 10th wedding anniversary" and subsequently received a room upgrade as well as a bottle of rosé and a line up of treats including delectable madeleines and fruit plate upon arrival.
• We dined at the hotel's seafood restaurant La Bauhinia one night and enjoyed the very nice tasting menu although it was expensive and very quiet.

Negatives:
• If I nitpick, I could say that I struggled with the pillows. They give you one that is too empty and another that is too full. I have absolutely no doubt the staff would have delivered a "goldilocks" pillow with a smile had I asked. If I nitpick further, the air conditioning was not strong enough – I stupidly realized on the last morning that I could have just opened the window, although that would have perhaps invited disruptive auditory ambiance (I imagine the occasional drone of European sirens: nee-nah nee-nah nee-nah...)
• It's very hard to find any negatives about our experience here, although to stay in any hotel where that statement could be true must come with a price, and here it was considerable. But like Hemingway famously said about the Ritz in Paris (another place I'd like to stay), the only reason not to stay here is if you can't afford it!

On arriving you know that you are walking into perfection. This hotel is a huge spoil, ideally located in walking distance to all of the Paris attractions, on the foot of the Eiffel Tower, a short walk to visit the Champs-Elys’ees.
We were greeted with a warm welcome from Alexander who told us about the beautiful heritage of the hotel.
We booked a junior sweet and adjoining rooms for our children. Our rooms overlooked the Paris rooftops. The rooms were beautiful with our bed measuring over 2.4 meters. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and were pleasantly surprised to have a cold bottle of French champagne and delicious macaroons on arrival.
The concierge service recommended the most beautiful places to eat , Carette for the most insane French onion soup and quiche du jour. Also Cafe du Trocadéro for the best beef bourguignon you will ever have!

My daughter had an upcoming birthday, she was treated with possibly the best chocolate cake we have ever tried, a balloon with her name on and a signature Bamboo bear.
We dined at the Shang Palace, in the hotel which was incredible, their Michelin star is there for a reason, if you get the chance dine there and have the tasting menu.

We found the concierge team to be exceptional, especially on checking out where they went to the ends of the earth to assist us in a mild panic being sent the wrong car for our transfer via our own arrangement.Thank you Toni.

All in all we have stayed at many 5 star hotels, this by far super ceded our expectations. We will definitely look out for Shangri-La hotels on our next trips.
Thank you for a memorable experience.

This is by far the best hotel we have ever stayed at in Paris and possibly the continent. The Shangri La Paris (“SRL”) had far exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have never stayed at a SLR before, but we were very aware of the brand and the 5-star reputation that they hold. They do not disappoint and treat all of their guests like royalty.

We came to Paris with our 5-yr old daughter to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. My husband, an avid hobby photographer, researched hotels that had the best views of the Eiffel Tower and found the SRL to be rated high for great views of the Eiffel Tower. We booked a terrace room with views of the Eiffel Tower and were notified by the guest relations team 10 days before our stay regarding our upcoming stay. We filled out their guest questionnaire and I’m so glad that we did. The SRL upgraded us to a 2-level suite with a terrace and breathtaking views of the Eiffel Tower. The room was grand and gorgeous! They surprised us again when we arrived finding a beautiful bouquet of flowers, chilled Veuve Cliquot, macarons, madeleines, cakes and fruit awaiting for us in the room with a nice personal note from the Concierge Team. They even got my daughter a balloon, a panda stuff animal, her own slippers, coloring book and pencils. There was even a child robe next to the bath tub and taking a bath was probably her favorite activity during our stay there. They knew how to make every one of us feel special!

All their staff we encountered at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. It is there people who make this stay so memorable. The Concierge Team arranged for our pick up at Grand du Lyon and they even had a child seat installed in the car for us. The Concierge Team were also able to book a last minute photoshoot the night before our actual shoot in our room terrace and around the Eiffel Tower. They tried to make restaurant reservations for the places we wanted to try, but unfortunately these places were first come, first serve only. We appreciated the effort.

Their American and Chinese breakfasts were delicious, amazing and filling. We did not need to eat all day until dinner time. It came with a basket of various pastries along with your choice of eggs and breakfast meat, congee, dim sum, coffee, juice and toast. We booked a rate that included breakfast in our room and it awesome to have breakfast in our terrace. But be forewarned in the summer, it’s wasp season and they were going after our breakfast, but not us, thankfully. We moved to having breakfast inside our room for the rest of the stay, which was just as lovely.

It was extremely hard to leave the Shangri La Paris. We had a lovely stay that we will fondly remember forever. We look forward to staying at this property again when we visit Paris. Thank you for leaving us quite the impression. My daughter no longer wants to live in Hawaii or Disney World thanks to the Shangri La Paris and my husband and I are ok with it.

This is the 3rd time in 2 years that we stayed at the Shangri-la Paris. And this last time their ideal location was very important because our room with a terrace has a view of the Eiffel Tower and it’s only 12 min walk to see the 2020 New Years fireworks at the Arc de Triomphe. Service was excellent and everyone was very attentive to all of our needs. Room service breakfast and dinner was just delicious and there is an elaborate menu. When in Paris, you have to stay at this Shangri-La. It’s the luxury hotel that has THE best view of the Eiffel Tower. You must experience it yourself !

The Shangri-La Paris is truly a gem of a hotel in Paris. From the breath taking architecture on the inside to probably the best view of the Eiffel Tower from a hotel in the entire city of paris! I am not kidding. The view is enough for you to justify the higher price of a luxury five star hotel! The next best thing and probably equal to the view is the exceptional and genuine service provided by the staff at this property. We could see that they were genuinely caring and went above and beyond to help us.
Starting with our reservation. We arrived from the US on an early flight ( around 6:00am) and reached the hotel by 8:00am. I had informed the hotel ahead of time ( a few days prior) and they did mention that it would be difficult to arrange the room so early and noted that we could store our luggage and maybe use one of their health club facilities to freshen up. Both my wife and I were ok with this and had carried a change of clothes in our carry on. However imagine to our pleasant surprise! They had not only gotten our room ready, they also had a complimentary French breakfast laid out in the room since we were coming in after a long flight and guessed rightly that we would be tired and would likely prefer taking a quick breakfast and resting.
The concierge service was excellent! They also helped with getting our health passes from a nearby pharmacy at no extra cost.
Also, a special thanks to the house keeping staff who provided with a twice a day cleaning and turn down service and took extra care of our personal items as well. They were un-intrusive and worked around our schedule ( something the reservation desk arranged ahead of time after checking with us on what times we would be away so as to clean the room then).
Overall, we spent a wonderful couple of days in the Shangri-La in Paris. We were left with a satisfied feeling at the end of the trip and will definitely be visiting the next time we come to Paris!

We went for a Valentine’s Day weekend with my wife. We booked a Tour Eiffel view room with terrace, the astonishing views from which can be seen in the attached photos.
When staying in chain hotels, the brand’s name makes you expect a certain level of service, but it is then up to the staff to deliver the expected.
This too was the case during our stay.
I would like to commend the hotel’s sales manager Ms. Olesya Slizevich.
As soon as we came up to the front desk for check in, Ms Slizevich approached us and from the beginning until checkout she was our go to person and made our stay even more memorable.
Olesya made the impossible- possible. She managed to get us into the DaVinci expo although we had not booked tickets in advance, she made sure that our culinary requirements (vegetarian) would be observed during the Valentines day dinner, making sure we get our own unique set menu, and on the last day she “was there” for us until we got into the cab.
Seriously, Olesya provided real prompt support of high quality with all our queries.
Room and amenities were great, housekeeping too was high quality!
I definitely recommend the Shangri-La in Paris, and a special hats off to Olesya for her professionalism and attentive service.
It is said that expectation is the root of all suffering. In this case the expectations were met, largely because of Ms Slizevich.

Stayed for 3 nights, and can’t fully express how impressed I was with this location, customer service and heated indoor pool. Because the hotel does not offer many rooms, you never feel overwhelmed by other guests.

If it’s raining in Paris, no worries, just stay indoors and enjoy the spa and pool, which are both magnificent and quiet.

We had a room with a gorgeous view of the Eiffel Tower.

I do believe I will stay here whenever I visit Paris.

The palace and staff were truly amazing and super accommodating. The palace concierge was always happy to help and would always solve any of your questions/problems. I asked once to replace my minibar water and I never asked again, everyday they put extra water for me. Very good at paying attention to detail.

My sister and I stayed here for 3 nights; i redeemed a couple of my golden circle points to stay here and I am so glad I did. reservation were so helpful, they contacted me a couple of days prior to our arrival for details to make check-in easier. The hotel is elegant, the staff were great and accommodating. They had a table of goodies for our birthday treat which was an awesome surprise. I thought it was a perfect location as it is a short walk to the Eiffel Tower, nearby subway, you can walk along the Seine River and depending on whether you like to walk or not the Arc de Triomphe and other landmarks are also within walking distance. I would definitely stay here again

I am so grateful for the staff and the service Shangri-la offered to us. Staying here for my wife and I’s honeymoon was one the best experiences I ever encountered. From the start when you arrive you can appreciate the beauty of the hotel and it’s rich history. After checking in they offer us a tour of the hotel and the guide was perfectly knowledgable of the history behind it. Once we went into our beautiful room, we noticed a table set just for our special occasion, with champagne, fruit, desserts, and a most beautiful and thoughtful card welcoming and congratulating us. We had a wonderful time there and I would encourage anyone that is planning a honeymoon in Paris to spend it here in this wonderful hotel with great service and with great attention to detail. Thanks to all the staff for a great honeymoon and a wonderful experience.

There is a terrace near the ballroom (s) which may offer a limited view of the Eiffel Tower, but I'm not sure how accessible this is for the public (i.e. it could be closed for event use).
