I stayed here on a spur of the moment trip to Paris. I found that I was 'upgraded' to the annex. It's huge, almost a house, in the courtyard behind. Needs updating but comfortable - as I suggested big enough to host a dinner party. A full kitchen. 2 bathroom; the one I used was lavish. As it was a... More

This hotel is old and charming (the rooms are small as they tend to be in Paris), the staff is very friendly and helpful, the breakfast is good, the beds were comfortable, and the view of the street was spectacular. The location is unbeatable; it''s right by the beautiful Place des Vosges and in the heart of the Le Marais... More

I've traveled throughout Europe solo many times, so I get small rooms and slightly differentiated service, but I really think this perfectly situated hotel could bend over a little bit to help its older, single travelers. There is no lift between the bottom and the first floor, and there's no excuse to expect a 70 year-old traveler to hoist 2... More

Quiet yet only 1-2 short blocks from wonderful Place des Vosges square (which now has a branch of the fabulous Pouchkine Cafe). A lovely area to stroll around in, with many good restaurants nearby. Mere blocks from the Marais. Not a luxurious apartment, and not as cheap as an airbnb, but good value for money in a GREAT location.

Level 6 means a lot of stairs (the lift only goes part of the way) but the top floor mini suite is light, airy, spacious, with a view over the rooftops, street and courtyard. It was lovely for us and very quiet. Carmen at the desk was kind, warm and helpful and one of the nicest people we met on... More

I was very disappointed in this hotel on a couple of levels. 1st the room was very expensive yet not very well appointed. We reserved the "loft apartment" which was more like an abandoned apartment with a few pieces of mismatched furniture. There was no effort to decorate or add character or charm. The apartment was essentially a one bedroom... More

Really enjoyed our stay - such a great location, friendly staff - we were upgraded to a small apartment over the road - we were not sure about this at first - but it meant we could prepare our own breakfasts and buy food from the many surrounding deli's and bakeries and wine shops. All our favourite labels and shops... More

I had the privilege to stay at this property, located in the Marais district. Being a 17th century building the rooms are typically small, but the character of this hotel far surpasses its size! The staff is helpful and extremely friendly, the room comfortable and clean. I will highly recommend this property for those seeking affordable accommodation in central Paris.

A group of 8 of us stayed here in early June. This hotel is small and charming. Wonderful staff who could not be more helpful. The hotel is perfectly located and just off the Place des Vosges (a wonderful square) with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a great time and would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in... Staying in Le Marais

Neighborhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendor. This neighborhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
