We had stayed in this hotel 21 years ago and found it to be a fine hotel. Unfortunately, nothing has changed in the last 20 years except for the staff who are friendly but making a lot of excuses for a product that is clearly not at "la hauteur" of the price. We rented a junior suite and had trouble finding enough placed to put our luggage, hard to find plugs to charge your devices, a Wifi system that kept going out and at best was slower than 10 year old technology, five hangers in the closet, hard pillows (they do have down if you ask), and a run down hotel. To the staff's credit, they tell you at check in that the hotel will undergo a major renovation - to that end the spa and gym are closed. I was too tired at check out to haggle but after hearing all their excuses, I felt like the classy thing to have done especially with the Wifi problems would have been to offer some discount on the room. But no - the excuses were only words, no deeds. When you have an experience like that it is really hard to believe that management/ownership really care. If they can charge a premium price because the market will bear it, well I guess they feel entitled to do it. Unfortunately, memories are long and it is unlikely that we would return to this hotel. Sure it has a nice location if you want to be close to the Champs Elysees but there frankly are much more interesting parts of Paris to choose from. I am 50% French and have spent a ton of time in Paris but this experience hasn't got me saying I'll even try the remodeled hotel. They had an opportunity to make it right with the price, and they failed.

We booked an Executive room . The toilet was not perfectly working as the water flush was not enough to clean , therefore an additional basked of water has been necessary to perfectly clean the toilet . The shower glass/doors had problem with water overflowing outside . On 2 nights on a total of 3 the turn down has not been made

Beautiful classic Parisian hotel with very friendly staff who were always happy to help. I stayed in a room with a terrace facing the Eiffel Tower and really enjoyed eating breakfast with the view. The location of the hotel is also great for the sights of Paris. Would love to come back!
