Quiet location, discrete, large rooms, very comfortable, been before and will certainly go again. It has all the mod-cons but is also quaint and rather like a club. Good value; took a god-child who was also very happy. If you want something old fashioned but modern yet quiet, this is the place to go.

After making a reservation for one night, I'd asked that if the Ernest Hemingway room was available, that I'd really enjoy staying there. When I checked in, I couldn't believe it when the staff handed me the key to Room #14: the Heminway room! Perfect. The room was more than adequate. Only drawbacks: no outlets in the bathroom and the...

Our stay at Hotel d'Angleterre was superb! From arrival to departure service was excellent. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful with directions, transportation and recommendations. The rooms were elegant and comfortable. There is a comfortable room for breakfast and a pretty courtyard in the hotel center. All around excellence!

The Hotel d'Angleterre was new to us and it is quickly became a place to which we will return--soon, I hope. The staff is unremittingly gracious and kind. Its location on the Rue Jacob cannot be beat as cafés, shops, clubs, and public transportation are all very close. It is also a quick walk to the Right Bank and to...

My favorite hotel in Paris. Staff is superbly kind and helpful. No request is too big. Rooms are all different and quaint but very nice. Garden courtyard is charming quiet. Have stayed many times and will again.

Superb local in Saint Germain - close to many excellent bistros, the Seine, the Louvre etc. Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. Upgraded to #16 junior suite with sitting room. Small bar and courtyard. Charming, historic yet comfortable. Breakfast is free when you book on their website. Would definitely return.

This is a historic hotel with an old fashioned elevator that two can squeeze into, a quiet courtyard and delicious morning breakfast. We had one room facing the courtyard, with a separate toilet in a space one can barely stand in, and another facing the street with a huge bathroom. Both were very comfortable. There is a significant amount of...

Lovely hotel with more spacious rooms than one expects in this part of Paris. The staff were great and incredibly obliging. I was in Room 40 and it was huge, by Paris standards. Bathroom was good (although hairdryer was one of those attached to the wall things I hate). Toilet a bit funny as in the entry to the room...

My husband and I adore staying at the Hotel d’Angleterre. We first visited for four nights in 2014, when we could not book the apartment we’d rented for the entire two weeks of our stay. The landlord suggested this hotel, and she may regret doing so, because we now prefer the hotel over the apartment. The thing is, you actually...

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
