We stayed at GHSM for 6 days in August and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and very nice, breakfast was excellent, and the location was just perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted and the Metro was not far away either. I would highly recommend this hotel. We will definitely book this hotel again in the... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights at the beginning of our vacation in France. We stayed 3 days here, 3 days in the South of France and 4 days elsewhere in Paris. We were 2 couples staying in 2 rooms. If I knew then what I know now I would have rebooked to come back here upon our... More

We stayed at Grand Hotel Saint-Michel for 5 nights - our room was spacious with a comfortable bed and incredible balcony views. Bathroom was extremely well stocked, including Hermes toiletries. The staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful, and the free afternoon tea service was a great benefit. My only (small) complaint would be that the wifi signal... More

Clean, close to cabs, bike rentals and restaurants. We stayed three nights and is was wonderful. The first leg of our stay the room was very small, but clean, with all the amenities you could ask for from robes, to shaving kits and so much more. The taxi stand was around the corner and the citi bikes were down the... More

I assumed that a 4 star hotel was a bit luxurious. Lobby small but handeled by very professional people. The room was ok decorated but so small that we had to put our suitcase on the table. The bathroom was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel and I have been in many. I have problem with my... More

Dear guest, I feel really sorry to read that your room did not completely meet your expectation, be sure that we take every review into consideration. As per the size of your room, the classic room is indeed the smallest category we have (13m²). The front desk team would have been very glad to show you one of our Superior... More

The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was nice but tiny but don't expect too much in size of the room in Paris. Loved the location, everything was walking distance. Not to crazy about the green marble facade, but definitely distinguishable from afar.

Just returned from a couple of nights here and loved it. Great value hotel and highly recommend it. The location is great new the Saint Germain, Pantheon and Jardin de Luxembourg. Lots of cafes, cool bars (go to Hibou) and nice restaurants nearby. Rooms are small and the decor of the corridors is very dark and a bit odd but... More

From the time we were greeted by the front desk staff until we left, everything was perfect. All the staff were absolutely helpful and lovely. They recommended a restaurant with piano music and we ended up eating there twice. The location was around the corner from Sarbonne University, the Patheon and Luxembourg Gardens. In fact we watched the fireworks from the... More

We stayed here for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The superior room we stayed in was small but had a balcony and the room was clean and well stocked. Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
