Superb hotel for a weekend sightseeing, great location for the main attractions (5 minutes from Louvre) Accommodation is excellent, we were given an upgrade to a junior suite on arrival ( remember this is old Paris, don't expect massive rooms, you'll be dissapointed). Staff were very helpful and courteous, we will happily return to Hotel de Lille again.

We stayed here for a couple of nights - in an ideal location right in the heart of Paris near the Latin Quarter, but with well-insulated windows and just off the main street so that you don't hear any of the noise outside! The room was a little bit teeny, but for central Paris it was just about perfect! Room...

To sum up Hotel de Lille briefly, I'd go with "very small but perfectly formed." It's undergone what appears to be a recent renovation, everything is of a high standard - it's quite a stylish place with small but very pleasant rooms, tremendously helpful staff (who stored our luggage for an entire day at the end to let us maximise...

Great location. Wonderful owner (& fuzzy mascot). The rooms are a bit small but cozy and more than adequate with lovely décor. A lovely breakfast each morning got us ready for the day. This is my "go to" when in Paris!

We stayed in room 33. It was very snug, but beautifully appointed with windows looking over the street below. Really well designed space with everything you could wish for. Bed super comfy, temperature toasty and very quiet too. Friendly reception staff. Super interesting neighbourhood and in the thick of Paris! I will definitely stay again! Really, really great!

The hotel was great! It was in a perfect location to walk to almost everything. It was charming, well decorated, and had a very helpful staff. There was a slight problem with our TV but were credit back some money for the issue which was appreciated. The room fit three of us perfectly and the neighborhood was delightful and quiet.

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Hotel de la rue de Lille invites you to discover the Left Bank, its lifestyle, its history. A neighborhood of writers, singers and artists, the Saint Germain des Prés district, whith its caves and its unconventionality. A lifestyle, that of the Faubourg Saint Germain, with its old families dear to Proust. A history, that of the bi-millennial Left Bank marked in every stone. The Hotel de la rue de Lille, fully renovated, is one of those places where people like to settle down like at home, or better, as a VIP guest in an exceptional place. The rooms are all different. Designed by JL Bras, architect and designer, they have been renovated to the most modern standards, with warm materials and integrated libraries. ... more   less
