Lovely secluded hotel in the heart of Paris. Staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent location for food in the evening adn a short walk from metro. We would go back again and again.

This was a really friendly hotel, tastfully decorated in a traditional french manner, the breakfast was well presented and adequate ( 9 euros from 1/4), a previous comment suggested it was wamed up, but witnessed bakery items being delivered when going out for a run, early one morning. Our room 108 was ok ,asked for two extra pillows and they...

I cannot add more to the many positive descriptions of this hotel, other than to note that among people we know who have visited in Paris, nobody else raves about their hotel and enthusiastically recommends it the way we do the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. I just wanted to say that while a number of reviewers have recommended seeking breakfast...

My stay was magnificent - from my Courtyard "Blue Room" to the cobblestones and secluded garden and the friendly service, it was all great! Some reviews say there are no cafes or shops nearby: they must'nt have walked 5 mins up the hill where there's a gorgeous piazza with fabulous cafes and a little road filled with restaurants including the...

A lovely hotel, beautifully appointed and well kept. Fabulous staff. We felt at home immediately. The courtyard and garden add a natural and relaxing element to the day. Coffee and croissants in the dining room cozy and nice. Great neighborhood to hang out in and also convenient to all Paris. Excellent, can't wait to return.

What a wonderful hotel in a great location. Loved the hotel, loved the location, would highly recommend. Travelled with my wife and grown up daughter and chose this hotel from Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived the service was first class. Room was quite large and well maintained and all staff were extremely friendly...

We stayed here for 4 nights in November. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was very clean, and well decorated. The staff spoke English, and were always very friendly and helpful. Breakfast here, is not included with your stay. I believe it was an additional 8euro. We found a great little place a block down the street called...

This charming hotel is in a great location close to buses, metro and sites but I have two complaints. First is that the caulking around the tub (in an otherwise very clean bathroom) was mildewed. Second is that neither the room nor the hotel had anywhere to just chill after site-seeing. The room had a round table with two wooden...

We stayed here in October, and although the room was small, it was comfortable. It was the last 4 days of a 2 week trip and a great finish. Location was the best, we walked to most places and the staff was very helpful in giving directions to places of interest. Daily we left with a map, bus number and...

Fabulous location-just a short walk to restaurants, markets, transport. Helpful staff, more than eager to ensure a pleasant stay. One of the smallest lifts I have experienced but at least there was one to access upper floors with luggage! Lovely outside area and good security at night.

Staying in Quartier Latin

Neighborhood Profile
Quartier Latin
The Latin Quarter bursts with intellectual life, architectural splendor and ongoing merriment. The small streets are filled with classical buildings, student bars and lively eateries while the squares are dominated by historic monuments. The area is defined by the 800-year-old Sorbonne University, where Latin once prevailed, and is famous for the Pantheon which celebrates the great men and women of France. During the day students rush from classes to the library and intellectuals people watch from the terraced cafés. As night time falls the surrounding establishments fill up and the merriment really begins. The liveliest parts are around Rue Mouffetard, lined with crêperies and international street food eateries, and Place de la Contrescarpe characterised by terraced brasseries, this neighborhood provides real nourishment for the mind, belly, and soul.
