The construction noise begins at about 7.15 am so do be prepared. I stayed there during the week on a business trip so it was not a problem for me but if you are planning to sleep in please be forewarned: you won't be able to do so here. The hotel is gorgeous with lots of colors, a charming location...

I can't say enough good things about La Belle Juliette. First, the rooms are as beautifully decorated as the brochure implies - lovely colors, lots of pretty moldings and big, breezy windows that open wide. And the staff was as helpful and friendly as the hotel was beautiful. I arrived early in the morning -and was lucky enough to find...

We have just returned from a weekend visit to Paris. After a short walk from one of the many nearby Metro stops, we reached La Belle Juliet and were greeted with a very warm welcome. From when we arrived, through to when we checked out, the hotel’s staff was extremely polite and attentive. We loved the perfume scent in the...

We got in to Paris late in the night after coming in from another region in France where we had spent some days. Our luggage + shopping bags were a mess as we didn’t bother to organise them since we had a car. When we pulled up at the hotel, were were met with a friendly and very helpful reception...

We chose this hotel because of the great reviews on here and I'm so glad we did, it was lovely! The room was small but perfectly formed and beautifully decorated. The staff were also friendly and helpful. There was construction next door during our stay but they emailed as soon as we booked to warn us and ask if we...

Lovely hotel well situated with lots of nice bars & shops around. Very helpful staff & lovely public rooms. Building work next door sometimes affects access for taxis etc & cost of breakfast & drinks rather high

We stayed at this hotel at the beginning and end of our trip to France. We stayed in a traditional room with shower. It was small, but beautifully appointed. The rain shower was great and had lots of options if you didn't want the "rain" and they also provided shower caps. The bed was firm and comfortable. There was street...

Beware!! Lots of noise from the neighbours construction work site. A big renovation is going on at the adjacent building. It will not be over for months. There wasn't a single note on the matter at the hotel website! Tiny suite for €600/ night. We got at the hotel at 1pm (after emailing the arrival time upon booking). The room...

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to describe your stay at La Belle Juliette. However, we are saddened to read that it did not live up to your expectations. Regarding the building work being conducted by our neighbours, it is obviously difficult for us to know precisely the degree of inconvenience to our guests. We have no control...

I spent a perfect 3 days in Paris with my husband celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary last week. La belle Juliette was a great hotel. The staff were very friendly. We had rose petals in our room to greet us and a champagne toast for our anniversary. The steam "hammam" room and pool were a perfect way to rest sore...

Lovely boutique hotel in the great neighborhood of Saint Germaine. Very small rooms but beautifully adorned with deluxe amenities. Service was five star. The construction we were warned may be disruptive was not in the least. Only negative was noise from rooms above--the sounds from footsteps and sliding chairs/furniture was quite loud at times. I attributed it to the wood...

Staying in Saint-Germain-des-Pres

Neighborhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighborhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighborhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
La Belle Juliette. The discreet luxury of a four-star hotel and the charm of an address that visitors and Parisians will give to their most demanding, cultured friends. In the pure Parisian tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the hotel is guided by a modern vision of romanticism and urban conviviality. Exceptional service with particular attention to hospitality, guests' well-being, calm and tranquility... All in the heart of bustling Saint Germain. Corinne and Pascal Moncelli, the owners of the hotel, have decided to breathe new life into an establishment that had been left to abandon on the rue du Cherche-Midi by telling the story - or rather stories - of a famous historical personality. This star of her time lived in the 19th century, frequented all the intellectuals and politicians of the era, was blessed with exceptional beauty, had an extraordinary love life and - above all - excelled in the art of receiving. The popular literary salon that she organised from the tender age of 15 attracted the greatest minds of the time and continued until her death, age 72! It is Juliette Recamier - famously known as La Belle Juliette - who gives her name to this new hotel. ... more   less
