La Belle Juliette. The discreet luxury of a four-star hotel and the charm of an address that visitors and Parisians will give to their most demanding, cultured friends. In the pure Parisian tradition of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, the hotel is guided by a modern vision of romanticism and urban conviviality. Exceptional service with particular attention to hospitality, guests' well-being, calm and tranquility... All in the heart of bustling Saint Germain. Corinne and Pascal Moncelli, the owners of the hotel, have decided to breathe new life into an establishment that had been left to abandon on the rue du Cherche-Midi by telling the story - or rather stories - of a famous historical personality. This star of her time lived in the 19th century, frequented all the intellectuals and politicians of the era, was blessed with exceptional beauty, had an extraordinary love life and - above all - excelled in the art of receiving. The popular literary salon that she organised from the tender age of 15 attracted the greatest minds of the time and continued until her death, age 72! It is Juliette Recamier - famously known as La Belle Juliette - who gives her name to this new hotel.

This is a fabulous place to stay. Period. The staff, rooms, and food - incredible. My experience reflects most of the reviews mentioned below but really, the quality of this place speaks for itself. 5 stars.

What can we say. Hotel was perfect for a long weekend. Staff were brilliant, can't wait to return. Breakfast was exceptional with a choice to suit everyone. Couldn't be happier with ease of access and hotel responded quickly to requests for extras is champagne on arrival for Fiance's birthday.

I have never left a negative review on Trip Advisor before. I booked this hotel on the strength of the positive reviews here. Unfortunately our experience has been shockingly bad and despite contacting them before posting, the hotel are completely uninterested and have not replied. I want to warn others against booking and having a similar experience. I booked a suite for nearly £900 for two nights and was looking forward to a luxury stay in Paris. As the ‘suite’ was so awful I immediately called to ask if any others were available, it seemed as if the reception staff got this request a lot and just said ‘you’re not moving’. I asked if they could tell me the next day if it was possible and they completely ignored whatever problems I may have been having and never asked or contacted us, I called and asked again to which they said ‘no sorry, you’re not moving’. I offered to move to a cheaper room, showing as available online and they had absolutely no interest in why and just said ‘no sorry’. After we left I e-mailed and told them how disappointed I had been by our experience, especially after I booked one of only two of the most expensive suites in the hotel, I have still not had a reply to any e-mails. Despite e-mailing ahead to say the time we were arriving and getting a reply, the reception had no idea who we were or the details of our booking, the corridors are almost pitch black and with a four year old and luggage this was difficult, the suite was awfully designed with so many issues, there was no record of the breakfast offer that had been previously agreed and the IT is fine but guests need to be told to look on the computer for the room service menu rather than ‘it’s in the room’ and having to ring again after 15 minutes of looking for it. A lot of reviews mention this hotel being central but it is a 30 walk from most attractions. If you have children this is definitely not a good choice. I would describe the hotel as being all style and no substance, for instance stylish looking chairs that are in reality really uncomfortable. The swimming pool in the basement is tiny and key cards are needed through a number of doors, if you forgot your card or accidentally dropped it it would be easy to be stuck down there. Another safety aspect was the ability to see and exit in case of fire from the higher floors; I felt unsafe in this hotel. That and the total lack of regard for us as customers, not to even call back as promised or reply to e-mails is shocking. The ‘dream’ suite was actually a ‘nightmare’. It ruined our trip, do not consider this hotel.

If your looking for a great hotel to stay in Paris....look no further. I booked two rooms and my family was very happy. The staff at the front desk were always helpful and friendly. Louis at the bar....always greeted us with smiles and fantastic service. They have an outside courtyard bar....and we spent a lot of time there. The small plates of food tasted great and the wine choices were amazing. The location of the hotel was perfect. Great neighborhood with cafes, bakeries and bars all in walking distance.

The service at La Belle Juliette was impeccable. This hotel is an absolute must stay when you visit Paris. The staff was absolutely amazing. They were very helpful with recommendations, and directions. My stay was from May 2 - 8, 2019. The beds were very comfortable. There is a daily breakfast buffet. The location of the hotel in St Germain was close to many restaurants and shopping, all within walking distance. This area also has a few street markets which are always very nice. The Luxembourg Gardens and the beautiful church of St Germain were also within walking distance. The location felt like a very safe neighborhood, we were comfortable walking around out night. The staff at the front desk were also very helpful with calling a taxi when needed. I would absolutely recommend this hotel. I have travelled all over the world and have stayed in hotels ranging from 3 stars to 5 stars, and this hotel is in my top 3 places to stay as it relates to service and location. There will be a city tax you must pay at check out. A big thank you and kudos to the staff and leadership at Hotel & Spa La Belle Juliette, you all are GREAT!
